Noodle Hierarchy
I don't know much about grocery shopping myself. But I do know that if you buy things in bulk, like potatoes, it will cost you less and it's also better for the environment because of less packaging waste. I of course don't come from America and I don't know if it is much different there. But yeah. It's so much easier and cheaper for people to buy a box of kraft dinner then it is to roast a few potatoes, it seems. By the way, that's my favorite vegetable. >.>;

It would seem there isn't half as much work that goes into turning out naturally fed cows as it is with corn fed cows. You just let them roam around, it grass that grows naturally and then kill em when they're good and fat and big. No steroids to buy, no corn feed to buy even. Very strange indeed.

-cough- I'm sure someone has pointed this out already but Potatoes are not fully vegetables they're mostly starches. c: Anywho I agree. It's sad that people opt for the Gmo foods because they're slightly cheaper. If you grow your own food it ends up being much cheaper, but most people don't have enough time for that. :

The only reason why there is no GMO's in my country is because we have a great bunch of activists.
They are ecologists and they fight against our government and the european council to stop them from dealing with Monsanto.
After destroying the GMO corn fields that have been authorised on our territory and been arrested for it, they finally won in 2008. No more GMO's for now.
But there we go: the Head of the european food safety administration, Diana Banati, belongs to the pro-GMO industrial lobby and this administration is now considering the possibility of granting an authorisation to the MON810 (GMO corn).

I guess José Bové will have to fight again and go back to jail for it.

I eat all organic, and I agree, everything that has GMO s**t in it should be labeled.

I really don't have a problem with GMOs; it's just that these companies are able to patient their GMOs. Take for example, a farmer buys Monsanto's seeds. Those seeds grow and pollenate. The wind carries that pollen into, say, your farm, and you did not but Monsanto's seeds. That pollen fertilizes your crop and now your plant has the gene. Then, for some reason, Monsanto tests your crop, and it comes out positive for their genetically modified gene. Monsanto can now take you to court and sue the living crap out of your farm, because you are not authorized to be growing their GMO. Also, take into account that farm make less than $30,000 a year, but they can sue you for millions of dollars. Even if you win, you still have to pay a large amount for lawyers and court fees.
