11/21/04XBear The vampire had woken up earlier than usual this morning, since they were to leave for the mainland as soon as possible, and was currently finishing up a few last minute details. Packing had already been completed and X had somehow fashioned a 'baby pack' for the sleeping Sanura, so that the saber could be carried in front of X and leave the daywalker's hands free for use, which at the moment were being used to write a letter.
Around five minutes later X had finished the note and was sealing it in an envelope.
Letter to Zael Zael- I know that I said that I would drop by for some 'private time' for both Sanura and Arram, but I have stayed far longer than I should and must be getting back to my home on the mainland. I'm sorry if this is rather blunt, I would've rather told you in person but I figured that both you and Arram would be sleeping still. If possible I'd love to take a raincheck when I get back, I'll be sure to drop by once we're settled in again. Oh and I'll be sure to bring back something for Arram like I promised, take care.-X
After gathering all her things and Sanura, X left her room and locked it up before she made her way to Zael's room, slipping the note under the door, and after a look back at the door, X ruffled Sanura's earfur while turning and leaving.

11/21/04Sanura meets Morty X followed the directions that had been given to her, checking them every so often so that she didn't get lost, and Sanura peered over her shoulder at the paper with her, the 'baby pack' holding her in so she didn't escape. Apparently the young saber noticed the house before X, and let a light mrow out to inform X of such, not that she couldn't tell from the increased attempts at escape already. "Calm down Sanura..."A few minutes more and X was at the door, hearing that Kochi was a vampire, she had made sure to come after sun down, though not long after. Sanura continued her squriming as the daywalker knocked lightly on the door, shifting her weight from foot to foot as she waited. Kochi had just woken up about 5 minutes before X arrived and had adorned herself in her pajamas and a rather luxurious housecoat, sitting in the kitchen sipping her dusk's cup of tea and blood when something caught her attention. It was not only a noise, but a scent which she had recognized yet not smelled in a very, very long time. A scowl formed on her face as she stared down the hallway, right at the door. The sound of footsteps approaching her house along with the breathing of two. She had come to be able to recognize the inhaling and exhaling rates of beings and be able to judge their body shape, and realized that it was someone and a baby. Though, neither of them are what she would call normal by the heart rates accompanying them. She looked across the table into the living room where Morty was, speaking softly to him in her native language which he had come to understand as well as English. " Be careful, Little Morty." Morty was sitting infront of the TV countering the kitchen, flipping through the channels trying to find any hint of blood, gore, or space ships, and was rather dissapointed when all he could find was Romeo and Juliet. He looked to his mother who seemed to be alarmed as her words and expression would indicate to him. Then again, his mother always seemed to be alarmed, whether it was something like a dog walking outside or a crow cawing outside. He had always guessed that it was because of her hearing and her nose, though he never much cared. Untill he heard someone knocking at the door, of course. He dropped the remote and darted down the hallway, jumping up to twist the handle with one paw and open the door, falling backwards in recoil. When the door opened X was expecting to see a woman like Neith had discribed, but instead she heard a thump of someone landing and upon looking down to follow it, she noticed a griffin like animal perched on his rump. Blinking a second before speaking, she smiled and spoke in her naturally low voice as she recognized by description who this was. "Hello there handsome... is your mum around?" Sanura was excited at the discovery of a nonperson, and even better, a catlike animal. Her wriggling increased as she sniffed the air and attempted to free herself from the baby carrier, digging her nails into X's shoulder. She purred lightly before letting out an excited meowing purr, her eyes glowing erily in the dark as they stayed latched onto Morty. Kochi looked up from the cup of tea and to the door, holding back a chuckle. A frown covered her face, though, because Kochi didn't like the thought of having another vampire in her house. Besides, this one smelled fresh. And she didn't much care for others, either. Kochi stood and walked down the hallway towards the door, not caring to leave Morty alone. Morty looked up to the woman. She was pale like his momma, but she had funny clothes. "Momma?" He questioned and then looked behind himself to where Kochi stood now. He got up on his haunches and put up his paws for his mother to pick him up, which she did and then cradled him in her arms. "Hello, I am Kochi. And you are?" She spoke inquistively and critisizingly. The only reason why she wasn't speaking much, much more harshly. It even made it worse that she recognized the accent in X's voice as being Polish. Young vampires never seemed to like older ones. Especially not younger ones that dressed so provocatively. Then again, Kochi could be described as a, 'Old Ninny' sometimes. "I'm X, a friend of Neith's, and this..." X motioned towards the baby saber on her back, "Is Sanura." The young vampire caught the tone that Kochi used, and her voice, though still soft for the two children's benefits, it held a strength in it that was easily recognized. X also recognized Kochi's accent as German, how she did was strange, since she had never met another German that she knew of, but then again, X didn't remember much of her past so she just brushed it aside. Deciding that since this was indeed Neith's fiancee she should be nice to her, X smiled slightly and spoke again. "Tis nice to meet you after hearing such wonderful things from Neith about you..." Sanura was slightly saddened that another woman had taken up Morty, seeing as Kochi's look didn't seem too welcoming, her green and amber spackled eyes still gazed at the two curiously. She sruggled still in attempts to get free, which X allowed as she carefully took the 'baby pack' off and freed the baby saber, cradling the baby in her arms, carefully avoiding more wiggling by handing Sanura her chipmunk plushie. This perked her attention and she immediately gripped the plush, gnawing happily on its head as she stared at Morty. "Ah, but my Neith does make an Angel out of me." She spoke rather poetically in her deep German accent, although it was meant cynically. "Interesting names. X. A single syllable?" She said with humor in her tone. That wasn't even a name. Although, she really should be nicer. She stepped back and motioned with an arm for them to come inside, holding the rather hefty Morty in her other arm with ease. Morty looked to the younger one, wiggling his nose. He had a plushie too! Where was it? He looked up to his mother and moaned, reached with a paw to bat at her chin, although she didn't care. He looked back to the girl and folded his ears back, now determined to out-do her. His plushie was much cuter afterall. "If I could remember my birthname, I'd give it... But this is all I have..." She trailed off, speaking rather bluntly with a light shrug, her deep purple eyes keeping hold of Kochi's own, nodding and walking in when the other vampire offered such. "Thank you." Sanura watched Morty with curiousity as he batted at his mother, but then mimicked his ears, folding hers back as well while attempting to seemingly rip the head off of her plushie. Even as she chewed, it seemed that she was grinning, her sabers hanging out to the side, serving little purpose at the moment. Kochi closed the door behind the two, leading them to the living room and breaking the contact of their eyes. Kochi's own reptilian silver orbs and her purple ones were quite the contrast. Then again, so was Kochi's long black dragon tail that trailed behind her, just the tip of it poking out from beneath the trailing house-robe and the pair of wings atop her head seperated them. "My birthname is something that I shall never repeat for fear of being murdered." Once they reached the living room, Kochi sat down on the large couch that was stationed infront of the coffee table. Next to that was a large recliner, and infront of the coffee table was some room to play and then the television. Oddly, though, the television had some wierd things hooked up to it. A playstation, a DVD/VCR and a gamecube as well as some other peculiar devices. "Sit down, please. Neith isn't home. She took the twins clothes shopping. A family is such a blessing." She said with a smile, revealing her 4 pairs of fangs. Morty would of tried to escape his mother, but he had grown to accept by now that it was impossible to do for now. Pssh. And she wasn't doing it right! That's not how you took off a dolls head! As soon as they entered the living room, and his mother wasn't watching he made a face and stuck out his tongue at her, black star in the center and all. That'll show her! Snotty girls. "At least you remember it... and yes, family is a blessing, so are friends for that matter..." X followed Kochi, peering curiously at the tail tip trailing under the bathrobe before she sat down on the other side of the couch that Kochi inhabited, letting Sanura down on her lap as she spoke with the other woman. While X kept her gaze on Kochi, glancing briefly at the set of teeth the woman had, the saber 'cub', who was now sitting upright on her bum, noticed the competitve air that Morty had. His starred tongue interested her, so maybe if she ripped off chippy's head then he'd come over and play with her? Worth a try in Sanura's book, so she grasped the chipmunk's body with her hands, letting her nails sink into the plush before giving it a fierce tug, her strong jaw gripping the head tightly. A low growl was heard mixing with the violent noise of fabric ripping, stuffing flying everywhere as 'chippy' was ripped visciously in two. A bit of the stuffing flying over and landing on Morty's nose, sticking to the dampness of it. Sanura's nose then twitched as she gave Morty a 'ha there' look mixed with a gaze of hope. Maybe he'll come play with her now? "Although my name has been Kochi Teufel Ungeheuer since I was 6, and it will still be that till I finally meet my doom in hell." She brang her tail to lay in her lap as she released her hold on Morty, who stepped off of her lap and next to the cub. He wiggled his nose and brang his tongue to lick the fuzz off of it, swallowing it. His eyes went wide with surprise, finding that it tasted absolutely revolting! Why would she stick her teeth in that? He looked down to the floor where his own stuffed animal lay, scooping up the plush orange fish that Rae made especially for him. His most favourite thing ever! It was much better then her decapitated-thingy. He took it with his paw and waggled it infront of her nose, sticking out his tongue again. "Although.. you don't seem old enough to be sentenced to the same misery as I, though you smell of the dead and of un-natural blood. I cannot fool myself to ignore it." She grinned slyly. "Although, I am in near shock you even came here. Afterall, you must know that older vampires have a tendancy to clean the population?" Sanura dropped the plushie head and X caught it absentmindedly as she listened to Kochi, gathering the two parts and stuffing it into her bag for 'safe keeping'. The plushie Morty had seemed to be more interesting, and she crawled towards him, reaching a furry hand out to pat his head, remembering that she liked it when X did that to her, so he should like it too. "Well mine's X till I know better, and you've said correct, I am young blood..." X smirked slightly when Kochi mentioned her next statement, though she was younger than Neith's beloved, she definately wasn't weak and could take care of herself. She didn't know about 'cleaning the population', never heard about it from any of her older vampire friends, but she could guess what it was and was definately disgusted by it. Ignorance was all it was to her. "...And I doubt you'd get the chance to 'clean' me from the population." The Boundless was ignoring her mother now that she had found something cute and furry to play with, something with ears like her! She rubbed the closest one for a bit before grasping it carefully; he had something that sparkled in his ear! Just like mum did, only she had more and some in her face too. "Oh no. Don't worry about me. I'm what you would called House Trained. No more kitten eating, murdering, or rape anymoe. Completely broken in and ready for marriage." She said with a chuckle, all of it meant in jest. Although it was all true, of course. But she couldn't of carried on all of those practices with children and a wife now, could of she? "Oh, yes. Sorry for the clothes. Just woke up. Although.. you seem to of gotten here rather early for a vampire... You're one of those daywalkers, aren't you?" She spoke critisizingly. She had heard for vampires who could walk in the day and not be harmed by sunlight, the only thing which could kill her! Something so virtually un-cursed, allowed to live with the pleasure of immortality and a flawless body yet un-touched by the greatest curse, not allowed to see the light of day? Morty was surprised when he was touched, his eyes going as wide as saucers. What, did she think he was a toy or something?! His face screwed itself up as he stared at her as if she was some type of foreign disease! He threw the fish at her and spat out, "Eww! Icky icky icky girl!" He then jumped back so that she couldn't get him again, not wanting to be touched by such an icky dirty filthy disgusting girl creature. X chuckled at this as well, but then Kochi's next comment made her deep purple eyes flash a dark obsidian momentarily in irritation, this girl was quite judgemental for being 'different' herself. She knew that she was lucky for being a daywalker, but she viewed her immortality as a curse, knowing full well that she'd never grow old while her children would grow and die. A parent should never outlive their children, it wasn't right. "Yes." She said simply. "I am a 'daywalker', though I don't see why you should hold that against me." Sanura blinked at the face that Morty gave her, moving to grasp him but caught his plushie instead, and she looked down at it for a second before grinning a toothy grin at Morty. Presents! She didn't know better so she took the plushie carefully in her mouth and then crawled back into X's lap, the vampire moving her hand down to scritch Sanura behind the ear, a soft purr coming from the saber as she hugged the fish to her. If she had understood what Morty had said things would've been different, but instead Sanura was blissfully happy with this new toy. And since X saw no harm done, she returned her attention to Kochi. "Oh, don't take it in offense. It's just, you can take your children out in the daytime while the rest of us suffer in the night. You aren't cursed with the greatest hex we suffer." Kochi shrugged. "I can't say it's your fault, though. I guess living for so long has made my cynical." She looked down to Morty who seemed absolutely terrified of this girl and chuckled quietly, smiling. Morty screeched as she took his fish plushie, his fur standing on end and his mouth opening in a hiss, pouncing forward to land ontop of her and attempting to wrestle the stuffie away from her without harming it. He had to get it back! It was the most terrible thought like, evverrr if she hurt it! Rae would be so mad at him!! "I'm not saying I'm not lucky... but I'd rather not outlive my children either. It's not natural to see your children look as if they were triple your seemed age... I'm not quite looking foreward to that..." X sighed but then blinked as there was a sudden extra weight on her lap, noticing it was just Morty and Sanura playing, X patted Morty's 'mane' and went back to Kochi. Sanura wasn't expecting this big oaf of a cat to jump on her tiny self, and let out a wide eyed squeak of surprise before she reached out and grabbed him, attempting to wrestle him the best she could. Needless to say due to size she lost miserably, maybe if he would've asked nicely she would have understood what had happened, but since he spit the plushie at her, Sanura thought it was a gift to her, and there were no takebacks! The young saber squirmed out between his legs before climbing up on top of his back, holding on tightly despite not using her claws, and as she reached higher on his back, she carefully set the plushie, unharmed and unscuffed, on top of Morty's head. Now that that was done, she was admiring the wings that Morty had, where were her wings? "It's true, you are not old at all... Children are a blessing, because we cannot have them by natural means. And our only children, those vampires we make tend to die as well. Then again, I guess dwelling on things like this is boorish and depressing." Kochi forced a smile again, really not wanting to be such a.. well.. Jerk. "Ah, can I get you a drink or something? I have some tea." Morty looked upwards, causing his eyes to become crossed and he quickly snatched the goldfish back, snuggling it and purring loudly. VICTORY. His nose wiggled and he coughed once as she was sitting ontop of his back, finding it rather hard to breath. Although, he didn't mind, because he had a strong enough back to support her. He fluttered his wings and flicked his tail up to tap against her back, wondering just what she was doing up there anyways! X just nodded while Kochi spoke, silently agreeing with her before responding to her offer, "Anything as long as it's not soda is good thank you..." Sanura felt and heard him purr, and proceeded to purr loudly along with him, being distracted all of a sudden by the fluttering of his wings, turning her head to sniff them curiously. She suddenly clung to Morty when something bapped her on the back, eyes widening as she turned behind her as much as she could to see what was going on. Ohhh it was a poofy thing that needed her attention! The young saber made a kitten like growl before turning around and pouncing on the offender, playfully batting at it with her hands, her pupils dialated with the excitement. "I recently discovered that carbonated water and blood is amazing." She said in a rather serious tone as she stood to go. "God damned fantastic. But I have some powdered tea.. a special recipe from Arabia. Ironic.." She said with a grin as she contemplated that. Arabia. Vampires..." She stepped into the kitchen, leaning over the counter seeing as that was the only barrier between the two rooms and took a sip from her own tea which was still sitting there. She then turned to the boiling pot of water (One of those electric ones. Kochi didn't trust the stove.) and poured her a cup of tea, having already set up another cup for herself, and just using that one instead. She walked back over with the two cups of tea, sitting back down beside her and placing the cups down on the table. Morty raised a brow and tried to look beside himself, ending up rolling completely over onto his back. oddly enough, it was so fastly manuvered that she remained in her place, just sitting on his scruffy tummy now. But it didn't work! His tail was cowered away from her before leashing out in a full out tickle attack, battering her face and tickling her nose. "Hmm... sounds very interesting, I'll have to try that myself one day. I'm partial to vodka and blood myself, as it were... The tea sounds wonderful..." Hmm, Arabia. X chuckled inwardly as she tore her eyes from Kochi and moved them to the two on her legs, Morty having flipped over and was now whapping at a very fiesty and confused Sanura. Whoooah! What was happening?! Sanura let out a surprised yeowl when Morty suddenly rolled over, her emerald and amber eyes coming to rest on the talons for a moment. She was about to inspect them closer when suddenly the offender was back, and attacking her face! Oh the horrors! The saber sneezed and then attempted to capture the poofy part, biting at it and trying to catch it in her hands, managing to do so every so often before it slipped away from her grasp. This always caused a frustrated growl to come from Sanura. She wanted to catch the evildoer! Not Finished.

11/22/04The Boundless FIRST QUEST!!You can perform this quest as an individual or with a group. You will need to arrange going to Adhimu with another Guardian (or two, or three. No limit, but it must be consensual and continual.) While you are in Adhimu, enjoy the sights. Your actual quest will be to go to the small store in Adhimu and find a gift for your Boundless. These gifts are up to you to decide, but they must be simple. (A small sailboat toy, a rustic plush, shell jewelry. These gifts will be drawn by Brenner later, so please be descriptive.) Your quest will not be looked over until you have arrived back at the Hurul-ayni Estate. This quest is worth statistic points if RP'd and completed start to finish. They will be determined after the RP is completed. There is no time limit on this quest, but eight days would be ideal. (That should give you enough time to correlate and RP.) You may RP in journals, in a private thread, or in the main thread. Since the holidays are coming up, and there are a certain few of you who cannot get online much, a daily post in your journal depicting what happened each day of your travels will be acceptable, as well.

11/22/04XBear The young vampire had just gotten home from Kochi's house, she was dead tired and Sanura was already sleeping in the baby back pack that X was beginning to covet so dearly. She was even in the door and heading up to her room when she felt an odd vibrating in her pants, and was thus stumped as the feeling continued on, until she realized that her phone was ringing. Blinking back confusion, X answered the phone as quickly and as quietly as possible as she continued to her room, cautiously opening the door to see Nathan holding a whimpering Aka.
Wrapping up the phone conversation, X sighed and quickly made her way over to Nathan, who gave a much appreciated smile when X took the young girl from his arms and hugged Aka against her comfortingly. Nathan grinned and stood up, giving X a quick welcoming kiss on the cheek before heading towards the door; X was home, no need to worry now.
"Nathan wait..." X's voice was slightly guilty, and both of them could tell.
The man stopped dead in his footsteps, sighing slightly as he turned back around to face her, but he was quick to put a light smile on his face. "You have to leave again don't you?"
"Yeah, Sanura has her first quest to do... It's important..." She trailed off softly as she thought for a moment, Nathan hanging on edge with her pause, "...I think I shall take Aka with me, she's a handful and I need to be with her."
The one eyed man almost jumped for joy at the suggestion, but instead he nodded, smiled some, and then excused himself to bed. It was long awaited sleep time.
Sighing softly, X quickly made preperations to leave again, packing much more than the previous visit had called for, since this one proved to be a bit more 'needing' than the other one had been. Especially since X had two babies with her instead of just one, and that Sunny had explained the quest to her somewhat, that it'd be a physical quest, walking to and from the two.
Four days walk. X could handle it, all else fails she could cheat and teleport every so often, though she doubted that Sunny would like that so much.
After an hour or so of prepping and packing, X was ready to go, and in clutching the two and their belongings, disappeared in a volley of black swirling smoke, reappearing several minutes later back inside of her room at the Boundless mansion. Sighing in relief, she muttered some calming words in Polish to the two, that had been the longest distance that X had ever traveled like so, and now she was tired, crawling into bed immediately.
Tomorrow was to be a long day which started early, best get all the sleep she could now.

Quest LinkQuest OneFirst Quest X had somehow managed to construct a sturdy form of carrying both babies without her hands, by making two slings that crossed over the front of her, one holding Akasma, and the other holding Sanura, who was once again sleeping. Sleeping seemed to be her specialty as of late, and X just assumed it was because she was mostly feline. Aka however was babbling happily now that she was with her mother, she hadn't seen X for a week and now she was here with her. This made her very excited, especially since she was with this other curious animal baby, but she was sleeping, maybe they'd play a bit later? The young vampire finally finished packing her pack and hoisting it behind her when she eyed the two in front of her, murmering to herself lightly. "Here goes something..." Grabbing the staff she had borrowed from Ruby (twas one of her extras), X headed out her door, and after locking it she made her way down the hall to Zael's, knocking lightly on it before waiting patiently. X had made sure to pack all the needed items, enough food for the three of them, a hammock, and the usual camping supplies. There wasn't anything that X forgot, she had checked and double checked her list, and was fairly confident in Zael to have done the same. Zael emerged from the room, tired, and a little under the weather still. He was breathing a little heavily, but his fever from last night had completely drained him of his usual get-up-and-go. It had, however, broken. There wasn't much he had - or so it seemed - his bag was packed and sealed. Arram was in his arms, and neighing happily, happy to have his daddy back and healthy. Or at least somewhat healthy.
"Are we ready to go then? I apologize that I wasn't able to return your letter. I was.. err.. predisposed."
He offers a weak smile, and adjusts the straps on his bag, looking over at Sanura and the other child whom he did not know."Tis okay, Sunny briefed me a bit, are you feeling up to this?" X reached out to gently rub behind the 'foal''s ears as she looked up at Zael before continuing, "Oh and you don't mind do you? I rarely get to speak it to anyone, and practice is always a good thing..."She grinned sheepishly before returning her attention to the two babies that she was carrying protectively. Aka reached out towards Arram, eyes wider than usual, babbling only softly, preferring to stay quiet most of the time, save the nightmares. That's when X realized that she had an extra body that Zael had no clue who it was, so she reached down to push some of Aka's hair out of the way before introducing her. "This is Akasma, Aka for short... She's another one of my adopted children, I couldn't leave her at home again, so I brought her along."Zael smiles and shakes his head slowly when asked if he minds the Polish.
"Not at all - It's good practice for the both of us."
Arram whinnies softly, and snuggles further into Zael's shirt. Zael smiles, and reaches up with the hand not holding Arram to stroke his ears. The horse-child shakes his head slightly, and closes his eyes. He enjoys that. Then, he turns his beautiful eyes to Akasma, blinking, and reaching out as if to touch her.
"Say "Hello" Arram. Can you say hello?"
Zael takes one of the child's hoof-hands, and waves it a little at the other baby. Arram whickers happily, and blinks at the other child. He sees Sanura, but she's asleep, and thus no fun.
"Well, shall we go?""Good, I think it's much more beautiful than English myself... strange. Let's go then..."X grinned down to Arram and Aka, who had successfully touched Arram's hand with a proud squeal before hiding herself back in the baby sling again, burrying herself in X's stomach with a soft giggle. After the babies seemed to have situated, X's smile seemed to melt away, replaced by a content look instead, as she made her way downstairs and out of the front door, waiting until the pair was outside with her to begin along the path to Adhimu. "So how have you been other than getting sick and passing out?"She gave Zael a smirking side glance as she walked, the staff seeming very comfortable and natural in her hand as she maneuvered. Aka continued to peer cautiously out of her sling, eyeing both the surroundings, the new man, as well as the two furry baby likes. So many new things at once! Zael shrugged, and Arram saw it fit to climb up onto his head, and perch there. Afterall, he WAS small enough at the moment. He draped over Zael's head, and blinked at Aka in an confused way. He accidently moved a little too far, forward, and fell, Zael catching him in the same instant, and holding him fast in his arms.
"Adventurous little one, isn't he? Fast, too. I suppose his intellect is something I need to work on."
He laughed, and ruffled the child's head and ears, softly, as to not hurt him."He is quite quick, I can't imagine giving him a bath... Rocket Arram... Just add shampoo..." X chuckled softly, watching the pair with great amusement, smiling enough so that her fangs were slightly visible. Sanura rustled in her sleep, making a soft mewing noise as she stretched her hands up in the air, bringing them down and curling into a new position. Aka blinked at the saber, wondering how this furry lump could sleep so well, she never slept well, and this thing looked younger, and made it look easy. "She sleeps a lot... but when she's awake she's crazy... Like a crazed kitten..." "Believe you me, I'm not going to doubt you."
Zael moves Arram into a more comfortable position, looking down at his son, and chuckling.
"And you're very right about the bath thing - I try to trickle water on him, and away he goes. It's a wonder I can ever keep up with him when it's not naptime." "Oy, like a wet bar of soap, maybe we could try coaxing the two into the water by taking a bath with them... She thought for a moment, stepping over a pile of organic droppings while she considered a solution, grinning and casting a glance to Zael wriggling her eyebrows slightly. Though I don't know about you but I'm going to wear a bathing suit, Sanura's got a set of teeth on her and is licensed to chew on everything..."Sanura poked an eye open, peering first at Aka, then X, and finally at Arram, popping the other eye open with an happy, but confused mrow, yawning impressively again. Aka just decided it was best to hide from the sun, yes, that was enough activity for the day, time to cling to mum, which she did. Zael laughed, and pictured that rather vividly in his mind - afterall, he WAS a full-blooded male. And that was a quite provacative scene in his mind. A blush creeps into his cheeks.
"Ahh... yes. That might be a good idea... someday..." X just chuckled, catching the blush and smirking to herself, she always loved a male's attention, regardles that she was married or not, allowing her hips to sway slightly when she walked. She raised her eyebrows innocently before turning up to the sun for a moment. "Do you want to stop for lunch now or later? It's about noon love... Sanura made a hungry mrow as she reached her hands up in the air towards her mother, X reached down and scruffed the saber's earfur for a moment while waiting for an answer. Zael paused in his walking, and sighed a little. He WAS a tad peckish, and it WAS noon. He turned to X, and nodded.
"Food sounds like a good idea. I brought some trail rations.. but I'm sure you have something better."
He smiled and walked off the path a little to a grassy, shady spot, setting Arram down on the ground. She grinned and followed him to the spot which he had chosen, taking her pack off before carefully sitting down, freeing the two babies from her 'baby slings'. "I have some strawberries for Sanura, she seems to like em... I figured it'd be okay to take some perishables for the first day. I brought some carrots for Arram too... some sandwiches and whatnot..."As she listed things off, she pulled them out of her pack, laying them in front of the five of them. Sanura immediately crawled over to Arram, pouncing him and purring, while Aka just sat close to X, chewing on her fingers absentmindedly as she watched everyone. "I packed enough for you if you want some..."Arram was pounced, and he could do nothing about it. It was hardly fair, as the sabertooth was bigger than him, and stronger. He was strong.. but... He whinnied in protest, and tried to roll out from under her.X waited for Zael to respond while Sanura, nuzzled her face into Arram's belly, purring softly as she pulled back and grinned a very toothy grin, mrowing curiously. "I think I'LL take some of those carrots too, if there are extras."
He smiled, and pointed to the children.
"Those two are going to be heartbreakers when they're grown, and you know it. Makes me wonder what's going through their minds.""They're going to be absolutely adorable when they're older, though I'm sure they'll hate us saying that about them 'course..."X grinned and tossed Zael a packaged of baby carrots as she broke open the tupperware of strawberries for Sanura whenever she was ready; while she herself busted out a sandwich, which she took a liberally bite of, only speaking after swallowing. "I think they'll grow to be close to eachother...""What they can't understand won't hurt them."
He grins, and sighs, watching the two while opening the carrots, and munching a few himself before he goes for a sandwhich or two. He leaves the rest of the carrots for Arram when he stops playing with Sanura."Sounds like a plan...and what about you... Are you a heartbreaker?"X raised her eyebrow at him while she took another bite of her sandwich murring happily as she waited for an answer. Sanura meanwhile continued to nuzzle Arram with her nose, pushing him over on his back before she plopped down and rested her head on his belly, purring softly as she watched his face, ears twitching for any noises he made. "Me? Break hearts? What makes you say that?"
He watched the "children" play on the grass. Arram was starting to get the better of Sanura, now on top, and chewing lightly on her ear. He made a small whinny noise as he smelled the strawberries suddenly, crawling over to the bowl to take one in his mouth, and crawl back to Sanura, dropping it in front of her, and sitting on his haunches.
Zael just about choked on the bottle of water he'd been drinking, he was laughing so hard."It was a random question, get used to them... I ask them a lot." X gave him a cheeky grin before turning to watch the two Boundless play in the grass, a rather large grin framing her lips before a light 'aw'ing sound slipped past them. Sanura blinked back surprise as the slick little devil called Arram somehow found a way on top of her, her ear twitching as he chewed on it, a light squeal coming from her. But as soon as he was on top of her, he seemed to be gone and back again with something. A strawberry! The saber cub pounced on the fruit and immediately took it into her mouth, giving Arram a thanking murr of approval, her eyes almost snickering at him. "Oh bloody hell they are so cute.""Well.. isn't HE the ladies man!"
Zael chuckled, and leaned back in the grass, chewing his sandwhich, and watching his son. Sleepily, his eyes close.
"Nice out here, isn't it? No traffic like in the city.""Suprised? You do know you avoided my question earlier... the heartbreaker one."X grabbed the staff that was propped up next to her and poked Zael in the side with it. "No sleeping..."The baby saber continued to purr as she munched on the strawberry, swallowing it before tackling Arram again, licking strawberry juice across his nuzzle. Arram rolled onto his back, and whinnied happily. He was enjoying this muchly! He nosed Sanura from his position on his back, and whickered. Zael laughed, and shrugged at X.
"Maybe a little. People seem to like me, then leave... Not sure it's any fault of my own, though."X chuckled softly but stopped and sat up rather quickly when she heard a rattling noise coming from somewhere near the two Boundless, and her eyes quickly scanned the area as she quickly, but quietly stood up, her staff in her hands. "Do you hear that...?"Sanura was oblivious to the noise around her, regardless of how dangerous it was, she was more interested in licking Arram's nuzzle and covering him with strawberry goodness. "I sure did..."
He stood as well, looking into the bushes. It had sounded like a rattlesnake.. but he didn't know if those were common here. Or even found here for that matter.
Arram happily played with Sanura, oblivious to all.X growled softly, staying still as her sharp eyes continued to scan for the offender, and a couple of minutes later she found it, a rattlesnake. "Zael grab the kids, I'll take care of this... "Sanura just continued to nuzzle and lick at Arram, ignoring her mother's tone. Zael darted forward, and scooped Arram and Sanura out of harm's way - and put himself in the snake's strike path. It drew back, and struck, latching fangs into Zael's arm before he could react enough to pull back. If it hadn't been Zael's arm, it would have been Sanura. He bit his lip to keep from screaming, and took the kids backwards in his arms quickly, looking at the angry-looking bite, and scenting poison. He covered up the bite with his other hand, knowing X hadn't seen the snake strike - it had been far too fast.X indeed hadn't seen the strike, but she did suddenly smell blood, considering it had been a while since she had had a fresh dose of it. However, now was not the time, she just hoped that neither of the kids had been bitten, they were far to small and would die quickly. She made a quick motion with the staff, almost as if it came natural to her, the end of it knocking the snake away from the other three before she ran after it. With one quick swing and strike of the staff to the snake's head, she killed it, but just to make sure X moved over it and while pinning it down with her staff, she pulled a knife out of her boot and quickly sliced off the creatures head. By the time she looked back her eyes where shining a primal obsidian. It was a bit primal, maybe a bit too much, but it all came from an instinct she didn't know she had. "Who was bit?" "Me - But I'm fine. Poisons don't affect me the same way they do full-blooded humans."
He smiles a little, and sits down with the babies in his arms. They're still oblivious as to what just went on, and are sleeping curled up on each other."Interesting... As long as everyone's okay I'm good..."X's eyes slowly began to slip back to her normal deep purple, licking the blood off of the knife before wiping it off on a rag and resheathing it in her boot before she stood up, supporting her weight on the staff. Sanura peeked open an eye, wondering why she had been so abruptly scooped up; why her play time had been interrupted. She yeowled softly reaching down towards the strawberries with one paw as she hugged Arram tighter. "And thank you for that..."A couple of days after deciding to forget her earlier idea of going with another guardian and baby, Neith was well on her way along to the town of Adhimu. She had Kiah held secure in a baby sling around her front, a heavy pack on her back, her long elvish sword tucked between it and her back, and a walking stick that Neith really didn't need... she just thought it looked good, and it was something to work on in the evenings. Neith still hoped to run into a guardian or two... she was really not finding much satisfying company in Kiah, as much as she loved the baby. The road was easy enough at this point, Neith could already tell that a number of people had followed this path. Some tracks Neith had discovered a few hours ago were quite recent, which had sparked Neith's desire for adult company. And although she wouldn't admit it... not that there was anyone to admit to... Neith had her keen elf ears already straining for any signs of voices. And at last, just after midday and Kiah's feeding as Neith walked, she did hear something. As she continued to walk in that direction, the voices became easier to recognize... a male and a female. And perhaps the sounds of a couple of babies? "Hear that Kiah? Life!" Kiah just yawned, and burrowed deeper into Neith's middle. SHe didn't seem to care too much right now. Neith stroked the lump in the fabric of the baby sling that was Kiah's back, and continued to walk in that direction. When she was close enough to be sure that the other two, who Neith had recognized as X and another man, she called out, "Hello!" as not to startle them. As Neith came out from behind the bushes, her eyes darted to the beheaded snake. "Dinner?" Kiah peered out from the top of the sling, her eyes still very tightly shut but her little nose wriggling around and her ears perking up and twitching in the direction of the others. Now that was new... but was it a good new, or a bad? Arram shook his head violently, and snorted. Not a meat-eater this one. Zael laughed, and bent to set Sanura down, hearing another voice a few minutes later. He went quiet. He'd always been a poor one for coversation. Instead, he set Arram down as well, and went about bandaging the harmless snake-bite with a bit of cloth torn from the hem of his shirt, leaving the talking up to X.X heard the voice too, recognizing it as Neith's after a moment or two, and while smiling to the woman, the young vampire reached down to scoop up the beheaded snake, dangling it in the air by its tail. "Hoy Neith! It is if you want it to be, we were just finishing up lunch when this unlucky fellow made himself known... Though I've never had snake meat before, the blood was pretty good, but if we do cook'er up then I want the rattle..." She grinned again and turned to Zael, noticing just now that he hadn't been talking, but bandaging his bite. Sanura was confused at what just happened, but hey, there's Arram! The young saber crawled after the horse Boundless and nosed him in the side with a soft mrow of happiness before she plopped down next to the bowl of strawberries and dug in face first. "Ah... my lack of manners, Neith this is Zael..." X motioned to the young man behind her and then to Neith as she spoke their names, "...and Zael this is Neith, a friend of mine." Zael nodded back at Neith. He didn't speak, lest she realize that the Guardian of Sire was his brother. Zael and Dragon sounded a LOT alike - a trait he tried to hide when he could. Arram nosed Sanura, and lay his head and one hoof over her. He eyed the headless thing on the other woman's foot with interest, but also a little fear. It was moving! gonk Seeing as no one was going to claim the snake, she pulled the knife out from her boot and quickly cut off the rattle, letting the rest of the snake drop to the ground as she returned to where she had been seated before and reclaimed her sandwich. Sanura purred with Arram's nosing and warmth, but didn't stop her eating for it, these were good strawberries! Her stubby tail swished lightly as her ears twitched to the sound of Kiah, but didn't move to investigate at the moment, maybe later. "She's adorable..." X spoke between bites of her almost finished sandwich, smiling fondly when the little tiger attempted to scooch up Neith's leg, somehow getting stuck on the way up, the sight amusing X greatly. Neith did notice the way Zael didn't speak. Odd. Maybe he was mute? Well, whatever he was, the little baby nearby was moer interesting. Neith could tell that these two were made the same way as Kiah was, and she wandered over to them both. "Ok, Kiah. Time to socialize!" She pried the baby out from her pants, and put a very confused Kiah on the ground next to Arram and Sanura. Kiah sniffed around, figuring out where she was now... was it safe? "Thankyou." Neith grinned up at X. "Just a bit too clingy when she's unsure." Zael plopped down on the grass, tying the ends of the "Bandage" tightly. He didn't care what the other person thought. He was HORRIBLE at conversing. Simply horrible. He'd surely say something to drive the woman and her baby in the other direction. He was suprised that hadn't happened with X yet, to tell the truth.
Arram nudged Sanura, and reached his head up to tug on her ear with an insistant whinny. Pretty much a "get your nose out of the strawberries, and look what I found!" He started to approach the creature that had been inside the other woman's pantleg, whickering softly in confusion."I guess I'm lucky that Sanura is explorative... I have a harder time relating to the quiet ones... Like Aka..." X motioned to the young girl who was sitting quietly and observing everyone, still exactly where she had been set down, her soft babbling noises were the only things that made notice that she was still awake. The young vampire finished her sandwich in a couple more bites, looking over at Zael curiously, why wasn't he talking anymore? "Shy suddenly?"Sanura would've continued eating, but Arram tugged her ear and her attention went there instead with a sad mrow, but that soon turned to a curious mew when she saw the new baby. Her tongue furiously worked to get the last bit of strawberry goodness off of her face, and she was failing miserably as she attempted to sniff out the new creature. Neith blinked a bit at the passing of a langeuge she couldn't quite understand, but she shrugged it off pretty quickly. It was probably how humans felt around elves, after all? "She's not so quiet at night, she keeps me awake half the night. Kiah doesn't seem to understand that night's for sleeping." Kiah opened one eye a tiny bit, to peer at what she could smell. It was coming closer too, and it looked funny. Like one of her toys! She wriggled a bit, sniffed a bit more... then jumped on Arram and started to gnaw on his hoof like he was one of her toys. He didn't taste like a toy? Arram just sat there looking incredibly confused. Why was newthing NOT-Sanura chewing on his hoof? He whinnied sharply, and whickered, trying to get the NOT-Sanura thing to back away from him. It was difficult. The NOT-Sanura thing was persistant.
Zael laughed softly, and shook his head, speaking to X in Polish again, not wanting to speak for fear of embarrassing himself over the top of what he could easily fix.
"Just tell her I'm a foreigner or something." X blinked at Zael for a second before nodding, "If you say so... though you can't hold this charade forever..." She usually didn't do this sort of thing, but maybe with Zael it'd be different, and so she turned to Neith and gave her a half smile. "He doesn't speak English, knows a few words here and there... He noticed me speaking Polish to Sanura the other day, and that's how we got to talking..." Sanura growled softly as this other thing attacked and began to chew on her Arram, she didn't mind sharing usually, but this thing didn't even ask nicely! How rude. Though she was still attempting to lick the strawberry juice off of her face, she attempted to hiss at the other thing before giving up and just pouncing on the girl herself. She was hurting Arram and that wasn't good, so Sanura must protect him! Or at least she tried. Neith blinked, they were now speaking a foreign language to each other? Well... there wasn't much she could do about that. Humans probably felt the same way when elves chatted away in front of them. Neith figured she probably had the same confusion destined for her as a form of odd punishment for doing it to others. Well, at least she could do something while they talked... SNAKE. Neith could clean the snake. So she kneeled and picked up the snake, and started fishing in her backpack for a knife. When X talked to her, Neith glanced up and nodded. "Understandable." Kiah let go of the hoof, disappointed that it wasn't soft and squishy like her plushie. That wasn't fun, she couldn't chew on a hard thing like this! It made her feel like she had weak teeth. And then she was pounced on. Kiah sank her soft baby teeth into the newcomer, but more playfully than aggressive. Maybe this was a rolling plushie! Arram snorted and stepped back a few, nursing his hoof more than was really nescessary. He whinnied for Sanura to stop fooling around and come cuddle him - cause... he wanted to be cuddled. And that was that.
Zael shook his head slightly, and nodded a bit. "I know - but I'll do what I can. Pretend to be teaching me English - it'll be a good transition, and give me time to get used to her." He looked over at Arram, and at Sanura rolling on the ground with Kiah. "Someone better seperate them.""But I don't teach..." X scoffed somewhat at Zael before reaching over and ruffing up his hair as a means of silent revenge of her having to do this for him, somewhat revenge at least. Looking over at the two rolling around and then to Arram sucking on his hoof, it was indeed an amusing picture. She was about to break up the tussle when Sanura pushed the biter off of her with a light shove, and then she plopped between the other two Boundless, as if to gaurd Arram from any further gnawings. Yawning slightly, the young saber layed down with her head on Arram's belly, purring softly while giving a look to Kiah as if to say 'see no biting gets me snug time.' "Looks like she's already protective of Arram..." With a chuckle X scooped up Kiah and scritched behind the young tiger's ears, holding the pup close to her so she wouldn't get scared. The witch woman had been watching the duo as they merged with another to create the travelling trio. She knew that they were on a little trip to the small town across the island.
Gripping her walking staff tighter, she peered through the thick groundbrush in order to get a better look at the three small Boundless the Guardians cared for. A smile broke the woman's age-weathered face, surprisingly bright teeth vivid against her dark complexion. Brushing aside an errant plant frond, she crept closer with surprising stealth and quickness, absently reaching for a small pouch that was tied to her belt.Zael stood, and brushed himself off. He looked over iin the direction he heard footsteps, senses high. He didn't think it was a threat, but then again... His eyes narrowed very slightly as he saw an old woman walking towards them with her hand on a bag on her person. Anything could be in the bag - he'd have to be wary. But the others didn't notice the woman - Zael was good at the sneaking tactics. Afterall... he had been both a spy for the military, and a private investigator in his time. He said nothing, but kept wary.X blinked as she heard something, but brushed it aside as the wind, her gaze returning to the Boundless playing on the ground before moving them upwards to Zael, smiling. She saw his glance and followed his eyes, noticing the woman. "Who do you think she is, and is she a danger to the little ones...?"Sanura was oblivious, she had begun to doze off atop of Arram, chewing softly on his ear as she purred. Arram was comfy and soft. Malkia grinned at the sudden tensing of the two, eyes bright and lacking fear. She moved closer, ignoring the strange language the woman spoke. A wrinkled hand rose in a dismissive gesture. She stopped a few feet from the group, leaning down to gaze upon the small Boundless. She spoke a few words of her own mysterious language, waving her hand over the treasured babes.
Abruptly she stood, narrowed gaze resting with astounding intensity on the two Guardians. She spoke, words heavily accented.
"You must be tired. It was unwise of Sunny to request that you leave on such a task.It is not easy to care for such creatures. They are babes." She nodded, hand resting once more on the small pouch that rested on her belt."I am aware of this."
He spoke not in Polish or English - but a garbled mix of English and Juridian [his native tongue]. He knew if the woman understood THAT - then there was something strange about hr. Something he'd have to be wary of."Guess not." X muttered to herself before standing up, leaning on her staff slightly, her gaze not faltering from the woman, but Zael's new, stranger language caused her to send him a confused glance. "A handful, but a blessing nonetheless... I'm X, and you are?" Her voice was polite, but still wary, though she didn't feel threatened by the woman. Sanura murred as best as a 'kitten' could, suckling on Arram's ear, it was comforting. Neith had gone behind bushes to do the cleaning, knowing that not everyone actully appricated it. She was fasinated by it though, the way the pink muscles of the snake continued to wriggle even as she pulled the scales off like they were only a sock. Soon, she had one long, pink snake shaped thing, with a hollow middle. She had heard footsteps just as they approched the group, Neith's blonde head darting up to peer through the leafy woods. She stared at the woman, but not for too long. Neith soon hurried back to the camp, pretending to be calm. She had gotten over her 'touch my baby and die' side, right? Neith hung the what was once a snake on a tree branch and peered at the woman. "Not so much a handful than a topfull..." Apparently, Neith still liked confusing people. Kiah grunted, and curled up so that she could stick ehr head underneath her belly where it was dark. If this Nefie person wouldn't let her sleep in a dark ... pouch thing... she could sleep anyway. Then her ears pricked, and her head peered out. A MOVING STICK. Well. Kiah wasn't going to let a moving stick distract her. She wriggled across the ground on her belly and started to gnaw on Malkia's stick. Take that! Malkia stood proudly, turning her fascinating gaze to the violet haired one. "I know who you three are." She pointed at Zael, X, and then Neith as she came into view, citing each of their names while doing so. "Zael, X, the Vampire daywalker, and Neith, the elven one." She nodded, repositioning her staff so that the little tiger wouldn't collect slivers in her mouth. She knelt, running digits over the soft striped coat of the small creature before rising proudly once more.
"I am Malkia Maha, and this is my island." She motioned to the small pouch kept close to her hip, "And what I have with me will allow you to return back to the estate." She grinned brightly while raising a dark brow. "Unless, of course, you would rather continue to the small speck of town clear on the other side of the island..? Only one of the Guardians' trip is nearing completion, and that is only because she travels alone.""What, no nickname for me? At least "the Juridian" would have sufficed."
He eyes the woman, and crosses his arms, eyes narrowing just a touch. Then they lighten, and he sighs, looking towards X and Neith, then towards the children. He nods.
"Agreed."Her hand reached out to rest on Zael's shoulder as she spoke lightly to him, "I think things are safe for now...""Beautiful island, but what's in the pouch?" X bowed slightly to Malkia, but returned to her standing position, waving to Neith as she returned eyeing up the the snake leftovers before moving her attention back to the proud woman in front of her. Sanura had long fallen asleep, but Aka hadn't, and she was curious about the pretty striped furball, so she crawled over to Kiah, reaching out to the young tiger as she made soft cooing noises. "Zael, the one who pretends to be unable to speak English." Neith answered him a little dryly, and leaned down to tug Kiah away from the wood. Kiah blinked at the lack of staff, sniffed in Neith's scent, and squeezed her eyes shut. She was caught! But she wriggled back over to the woman, who had stroked her so nicely. So when another thing came over, Kiah just rolled onto her back and exposed her tummy for rubbing. So this was why Neith kept trying to get her out! People liked to give rubs! "The island is the most beautiful place I've been for a very long time. And... well... I was thinking Kiah needed a toy. I like my feet." Neith replied, but only half-heartedly. She loved walking around this island. Zael's eyes flashed red the moment he rounded on Kia for that statement. His mouth had many sharp teeth.
"CAN IT. I didn't want to talk, because I'm not good at coversation. I didn't need someone to CALL me on it."
He breathes out through his mouth and nose hard, and then moves to pick up Arram. The horse-child squeaks, and buries his muzzle in Zael's collar. Malkia watched the interactions between the three, chuckling silently to herself. She was looking forward to meeting the others.
"The pouch..?" She nodded at X, unfastening the tanned leather pouch and pulling three smaller pouches from the depths of it. She tossed one to each of them. "They are your keys to returning back to the estate with a gift for your Boundless, much like you were told to do, yes?" Her blue eyes narrowed, "Unless, of course, you would rather continue to the town? It is your decision."X took the pouch and nodded in thanks before glancing to Zael, a slightly worried look on her features. "Leave it be..." Her hand gave his shoulder a light squeeze before lowering to scoop up the now awake and confused saber, who was mewing pathetically at the loss of her snuggle partner. The young saber's paws raised to the horse Boundless before erking in surprise as she was scooped up. Aka had seen the other woman scrub this furry thing, so maybe she'd try it too, and so she placed both of her hands on Kiah and rubbed happily, she liked how soft she was. Oh yes, now Kiah knew why going out to be around other loud tall Nefie like people was good. Now she knew... and riiiiight there... Kiah's pink little tongue flopped out of her mouth. Neith grinned at Zael, and then leaned down to reluctently pick Kiah up. "Come on, Kiah." Kiah wriggled around angrily. She was just getting used to this, now she had to hide again? That wasn't fair! Her mission complete, Malkia faded back into the brush, disappearing almost instantly. The Guardians could do as they wished, now: continue forth to the city or return back to the estate with gift in hand.
Sunny must be insane.Neith glanced at the snake, sighed and tossed it into the bush near where she'd buried the other parts. At least an animal would get a good meal. Neith hugged the baby close, not surprised when Kiah's energy melted away at the feeling of the snuggling. She had been up all night, after all. "I suppose it's time to go home again, Kiah." Kiah ducked into Neith's top and the babysling and curled up. Neith put the bag in with the baby, they could see what was inside that night. And she turned, and went back the way they went. Kiah was a bit little for a eight day hike... maybe when she was a child. "I'll see you both later then." Neith called as she left. Zael sighed, and turned, taking the bag with him with a bit of an attitude. This "adventure" had been a distaster, unfortunately. He didn't even look in the bag as he started on his way home, Arram in arms.X watched them all go, sighing softly before gatherinig the two children in her arms and teleporting them all back to the mansion, she was damn tired of walking.

12/03/04XBear X was tired, and for once Sanura wasn't sleeping, attempting to climb out of the baby sling as she sniffed and whimpered. Probably looking for Arram. This made X a little more than irritated, and Aka noticed this, staying quiet the entire way back up to their room for the night.
She had forgotten about the pouch that the strange lady had given her and Sanura until she plopped down on the bed, tossing her pack off and causing the pouch to fall onto the bed. Before the young vampire could capture her, Sanura had bolted out of the sling and pounced on the escaping bag, maneuvering so that her nose was stuffed into it.
Soon enough, the saber's entire head was lost in the tiny pouch by means X knew naught of, but she assumed it was some sort of pocket demension and/or a strange magic she had no knowledge about.
Sanura didn't care what was going on, there was something cool in the bag and she had to find it! It was a must do assignment! The little saber growled softly as she grasped her mouth around something solid, her haunches tightening as she attempted to pull herself with whatever it was she had captured out of the bag.
Suddenly, Sanura came flying back out of the bag, landing sprawled out on her back with a pair of gold and red, probably ruby or dark garnet, encrusted elaborate earrings. The saber blinked at her find and before she could begin to chew, X scooped them up and layed them on her hand for further inspection.
"Holy s**t... These are beautiful, and they'll match your fur when you can wear them..."
The Boundless wasn't happy about her new find being stolen from her and she mrowed angrily, pouting the best that she could with her sabers. X, if on cue, pulled out a new plushie and gave it to Sanura, who immediately seemed to forgive her as she began to happily gnaw on said plushie.
"Thank gods for kitten like attention spans..."
And with that she stood up, put the earrings away in the top drawer, and then shuffled Aka and Sanura to bed. Aka fell asleep immediately, but Sanura continued to play with the plushie for a good while longer till she finally fell into a deep kitty slumber, and X followed suit minutes after the saber.

12/24/04Aylee/X/Yasu/Sanura A darker figure made its way into HQ after being MIA for a good long time, her trench flowed behind her as her deep purple eyes scanned the once familiar surroundings. Her face was hidden from the scarf she wore, her tired and menacing eyes the only thing visable at the moment. She did however carry a bundle in her arms, which didn't seem to be moving until a lone ear appeared and flicked at the new noises she was introduced to. Giggling happily, the badger child continued to pet the deer. It was soft in a... coarse... kind of way. If that made any sense, which it didn't. "Mi!" Aylee rolled her eyes at Kunny and Pryderi and looked back down at Yasu and Midori. The little bundle of fur in her arms could be quite cute. He wasn't as docile as Solo had been, but then again, Yasushi was younger than Solo had been when she had been told to take care of the kitsune. Her eyes shifted again as the door opened, and she smiled, "Hoooiyo, X!" She nodded at the girl, "You feeling better? You still seemed to be a bit sick when I left the Boundless Estate..." Kunny sighed and rubbed his forhead, "Sheesh. I wouldn't have come tonight if I knew Aylee was going to make this bad a fool of me." Well, anyway. This boy, Pryderi, seemed mature enough. More mature than anyone else Kunny had been around the last few weeks. For some reason no-one his sister knew seemed to have their heads screwed on straight. Twisting his twin tails around his waist, Solo shrugged, "Yeah. I think it has something to do with her brother showing up. As soon as he came, she snapped out of it. Mostly." He looked at the little purple thing, "Uhm. It looks like a worm." The woman's eyes shifted to the sound of the familiar voice, the beginnings of an unseen smile quirking upwards, which quickly disappeared with the mention of her 'sickness.' "Ah yes... I'm feeling much better..." 'Now that I've lost the extra weight...' She thought bitterly to herself before casting her eyes down to the white thing in the young girl's arms. "Your fetus grew... He looks like Elvis..." Just as she mentioned the word 'fetus', a young saber shot her head out of the bundle in X's arms, ears flicking a bit before her emerald spackled eyes came to rest on 'Elvis.' It was then a curious mrow came from the saber as she attempted to squirm out of X's hold. Solo eyes the worm suspiciously, then forgot about it. Eh, well. "Yeah, I suppose. Mostly because Aylee's brother was looking after me for a while. He's not much of a people person, either..." He shrugged slightly, watching Ryu climb down. Perhaps he should have brought Albel, but the warrior had been extremely annoyed at everything recently, so much so that Solo had trouble approaching him without almost loosing a toe or something. Kunny sighed and threw himself onto the couch as the boy left. Well, that had been... interesting. In a disasterous sort of way. Dammit, why did Aylee have to be here? ...Then again, he would never have come had Aylee not dragged him. Meh. Perhaps some things you couldn't get away from. Aylee laughed, "I'm glad you're feeling better. But Elvis? Don't give him any ideas, please!" She held the badger child close, "I named him Yasushi. He turned out so incredibly cute!" Yasushi pouted unhappily when the deer left. His friend had gone! Now what was he to do? Then he spotted Sanura in the other woman's arms, and stared at her suspiciously. The he carefully reached an arm out towards her, trying to see if she was fluffy. The young vampire shifted her eyes to the couch when the body thump was heard, an eyebrow raising at the teen before she returned her eyes to the two Boundless in the room. "Well... he does look like Elvis..." Sanura leaned out towards the white animal with a black hat, sniffing vigorously as she continued to squirm in X's grasp, causing her to finally plop the ice cat atop of Yasu and into Aylee's lap with a cheeky grin. THe young saber widened her eyes before immediately attempting to nuzzle her head under the badger's belly, for reasons unknown. Aylee glared over at her brother from a moment, giving him a 'can't you be a TAD bit quieter?' look, the looked back up at X, "Heh. Perhaps. I just hope he doesn't grow up to be a singer like him, though." She looked down as Sanura was plopped into her lap, and grinned, "I can't wait to see what they look like as they're older." Yasushi blinked as Sanura landed on him, then started nuzzling him. Reaching out again carefully, he patted her atop her head, then smiled. She was fuzzy too! Finnaly finishing her project, she takes the bag, and quickly stuffs her 'thing' in it. Putting the needles and thread on a shelf where the saber-tooth or the badger couldn't get at, she walks over to Aylee. " this is for solo, don't let him open it till christmas..."she whispers, and puts the bag on the table. "Oh X, its so cute! May hold it?"she said, fidgeting around. Sanura didn't care about the pat, instead intent on burrowing herself under the snowy looking Boundless, somehow managing to roll onto her back underneath him. Yasu was now her new blanket, and she gave a proud mrowl of approval at her accomplishment. "Who is he?" X asked only because Aylee had glared at the semi cute boy on the couch, her eyebrow raising in question before nodding in agreement with her next statement. "Aye, should be beautiful..." EDIT: The vampire turned her eyes sharply to the new voice, from a girl who she had no clue who she was. "No... She seems comfortable, and I don't know you..." "thats fine, i wouldnt trust someone i didnt know eather"she said, as she smiled "oh uh... uh.." she searches around the room, then rummages in her bag behind the chair and pulls something out. she rushes back to X and Aylee with a pie tin covered in tinfoil. "cheesecake, anyone?" Aylee blinked as the bag was set down, then nodded slowly at the girl, "Ahhkay..." Hearing X's question, she looked back over at Kunny, who threw her a glare. He was obviously not happy with her at the moment, "Er... He's my brother. Don't pay him much attention. I kinda made a fool of him earlier, so he's a bit mad at me..." Yasushi blinked as Sanura wriggled her way beneath him. He didn't mind too much though, she was fuzzy! Fuzzyness was good! He grinned and snuggled up against her. X simply nodded in the scowling boy's direction, and was about to turn her attention back to Aylee when the irritating girl charged upon them. This was not what X needed after her 'sickness' and the multitude of hormones that had come with it. "Don't... give Aylee sugar... Take that as a no on my part as well... Oh and as far as trusting complete strangers goes..?" She scoffed in amusement before continuing, "I've sold my body and freedom to men I had never met in my life, and I trusted them... You. You I just don't like..." Sanura was oblivious to her mother's return to her 'old self' and was content on nuzzling the warm and fuzzy baby blanket atop of her, murring happily at the warmth and snuggling. She hadn't gotten much snuggle time while her mum had been 'sick.' Aylee pouted slightly, "What's wrong with sugar?" she asked. Sure, she became a bit hyper when she ate it, but was that anything to really get worked up about? Well, she wasn't the biggest fan of cheesecake, anyway. Though X was being a little rude. Of course, Aylee didn't know this person, either. She'd seen the girl around, but... Never really talked to her. Yasushi purred slightly at the snuggling Sanura. He liked fuzzy things, and she was the epitome of fuzzy things. ...Not that he knew what epitome meant, of course. Kunny watched the girl whom his sister was talking to. For once Channa seemed to know someone who wasn't absolutely insane. Uhm. Depending on your definition of insane, of course. From that point on, X just ignored the other girl, she just wasn't in the mood to put up with her, and since she was staying a while, the young vampire pulled back the hood on her trench, shaking her tresses free. "Nothing's wrong with sugar, but there's plenty wrong the the amount you consume from what Solo has told me..." She smirked lightly at Aylee and the two in her lap, tilting her head to the side as she watched Sanura milk this younger Boundless for his furry warmth and attention. Though, Yasu didn't really look like he minded too much either way. Therefore, the young saber leaned foreward and began to lick the badger's belly as if to 'comb' the young baby's fur, her tongue apparently moreso like a cat's than a human's. Aylee blushed heavily, "I don't eat that much... Er... Except for the last two weeks when at the Estate where that was just about ALL I ate... Uhm..." She gave X a sheepish grin and coughed slightly with embarrassment. It wasn't her fault the stuff tasted good! Yasu purred happily. The fuzzy thing underneath him was warm, and the touch of her tongue tickled slightly, but over all, felt good. He hadn't groomed himself at all since he had been 'born', so this worked well. And besides, she was fuzzy! "See... guilty as charged... 'Sides, tisn't good for you humans..." The vampire gave Aylee an evil smirk before plopping down on the nearest couch, stretching out somewhat as she watched the two in the young girl's lap. Suddenly, X turned her attention to the quiet boy on the other couch, raising an eyebrow at him, "I'm guess you're a 'silent but deadly' type...?" Sanura blinked. The white thing was vibrating from inside and she didn't know what was going on, though it seemed familiar and she was warm. Therefore, the strangeness didn't warrent a break away, so the saber continued to 'groom' the other Boundless in content. Aylee tilted her head to the side, "Really? Well, I'm only half human, though." Kunny rolled his eyes. Yeah, and it's probably even worse for our other half! Turning to X when she addressed him, he thought about what to say. Finally he smirked a bit, "I suppose. Though I'm not silent in the way that kitsune kid is," he said, pointing over at Solo, who glared at him. "The deadly part is perfectly accurate, though," he continued with a shrug. The badger continued to purr slightly until Sanura's tongue touched a rather ticklish spot and Yasu let out the baby badger equivalent to a laugh. "What's the other half... If you don't mind me asking?" The question was directed to both siblings, her eyebrow quirking with the male's response to her question. A light smirk crept on her lips. "Deadly you say? To what? You don't seem as such... Well, moreso than Aylee..." X gave the girl a cheeky grin, one which she had surely picked up from Jack and the two SkullMonkeys at home. More blinking came from Sanura, along with a confused mrow as soon as the badger made the weird noise, causing her to simply stop and stare at the white ball of floof atop of her. Kunny rested his elbow on the arm of the couch and put his chin in his hand. He'd let his sister answer this one, knowing that he could easily make a fool out of her over this, payback for earlier with Pryderi. "Haah? Oh. We're actually half mer.. person. Mermaid doesn't really fit too well," the girl said, shrugging slightly. Then she looked up at the ceiling for a second, "We used to live in the sea, when we were kids. Up till we were... About nine? Anyway, that was a long time ago, and now we live here." Kunny rolled his eyes, "And whose fault is it that we don't live back home anymore, eh, Channa?" Blushing again, Aylee mumbled, "Shuddup. It was an accident..." With a slight smirk on his face, Kunny turned to X to answer her other question, "Deadly because I'm an assassin." Yasu looked down at the little furry sabertooth beneath him when she stopped grooming him. He gave her a cute questioning look, obviously unaware that his laughter had bothered her so. "Well... that's honestly a new one... I just call myself a mutt, and leave it at that..." Brushing a lock of stray hair behind her ear, X's eyes shifted from one sibling to the other as each of them spoke, raising her eyebrow at Aylee when she spoke of living under the sea. "So you can breathe underwater I assume... Interesting..." She knew it was a redunant statement, but she said it anyways, tapping her labret as she stored the information away for later use before sitting up and grinning wide at Kunny. "Assassin huh? As long as you're not a vampire hunter I hold no grudge against you... We'll have to spar sometime when I'm back in shape..." Yes, sparring with him would be quite fun, X loved to beat confident, strong men on 'their' turf. Sanura blinked again before nosing Yasu's nose with her own, and then licking accross his face as if to be simply annoying, a happy mew following the action. Sire meandered into HQ after his long absence, bearing a new wardrobe given to him by his Juridian family, and a scarf that had been dropped off by Sati. He was in a cheery mood, and found a vacant seat, slipping into it, and humming soft X-mas carols to himself, watching what was going on.Aylee finally recovered from her embarrassment, extremely glad that X hadn't asked what had happened, "Yaah... Breathing under water is easy. We actually've got gills on our necks, but they're easy to hide if you learn how." She looked up as Sire entered, trying to remember his name, as she was sure she had learned it at some point. Kunny shook his head, "Would rather not. I'm not the biggest fan of fighting. Assassinating is something entirely different, because you usually don't go up against any opponents." He waved a hand vaguely in the air, "It's actually a policy of mine not to kill unless I'm being paid a pretty penny." Aylee blinked and tilted her head, forgetting about Sire for a moment, "Haaa? But didn't you agree to kill Dreas for me for only five dollars?" The assassin gave her an annoyed look, "That's different. And besides, I'd have agreed to kill Dreas for an actual penny, were that all you'd had at the time." Yasu purred slightly and licked Sanura back. He liked this fuzzy creature. It made cute sounds, was fuzzy, groomed him, was fuzzy, soft, and did he mention fuzzy? Solo flinched and woke up from his spot on his beanbag when he heard the door shut again. He'd dozed off, having had nothing better to do, and he really didn't want to go near X again. He eyed Sire for a moment, then gave the other fa'e a nod, "Merry Christmas, I suppose." "That's cool, I can swim pretty well... But my skills lie elsewhere..." She coughed lightly to hide her amused smirk from Aylee. X shrugged towards Kunny before chuckling and just shaking her head. "I just need to get back in shape after the... me getting sick, and I figured you'd be a... lively opponent..." She had caught herself just in time, almost revealing the truth behind her 'sickness'. Instead, she brought her eyes up to the Fa'e who had just entered, Sire. A light smile graced her lips for a moment before it faded. "Hey Sire... new clothes... Nathan's at home. M'sorry." Her eyes flicked to Kunny again, chuckling before responding. "But if I ever need your services, doubtful considering I'm highly able myself, I'll contact you..." Now her nose was extra wet! Sanura shook her head slightly before licking her muzzle herself and then returning to grooming his own face. Though when she came to the Elvis tuft, the saber blinked at it for a second, a light mrowl coming from her throat before she actually began to groom Elvis. For a moment Kunny watched X in silence. It dawned on him that he hadn't even really been introduced to her, "That's right, I haven't actually found out your name yet," he gave her a light smile, "Mine is... Er..." He blinked for a second, then decided against telling her his full name, "Kunny." Aylee smirked slightly in private amusement, then looked puzzledly at X, "Back in shape? But why would an illness make you that sick? I didn't know it was that bad, otherwise I would have come to visit." ...Of course, this was assuming she had not also been taken to bed with overwhelming depression. Yasu purred slightly as Sanura went back to rooming him, and he licked lightly at one of the sabertooth's ears. Despite her pulling at his hair slightly, Yasu was completely content. "Hmm... Call me X." She would have told him more, but frankly, only a select few were told her true name once she had found it out. Though it was easy to tell her European decent from her strong Polish accent as she drawled out her words in a lazy fashion. "Pleasure..." Her attention turned to Aylee with her question, and she coughed softly before going on. "Ah yes, bedrest remember... Don't worry about it, I was well taken care of..." The now wet ear flicked absently while the saber continued to lick the Elvis tuft to her heart's content, murring absently as she finally finished and nuzzled her face under Yasu's chin. Kunny nodded, "Interesting name, I must say." He grinned slightly at her, and ignored her comments to his sister. He was already pretty damn sure he knew what her 'sickness' was, but wasn't going to say anything, considering the lengths X was going to hide it. Aylee tilted her head to the side, "Ahh... Really? Perhaps I should do a little bit of working out then... I barely did anything for two and a half weeks." She grinned sheepishly, then glanced around. For some reason she really felt like drinking some soda. Yasu purred happily as the soft, furry saber nuzzled him. He licked at her ear again, in pleasure. Sanura was warm, even if he was the one supposedly the blanket in this case. It was definitely cold outside. Shivering, the deer boy made his way hastily through the snow, praying he'd make it to the HQ without getting frostbite on any part of his anatomy. With his teeth chattering, he wrenched open the door, skittering hastily inside. Brrr. It was way too cold to be outside. Pryderi stood in the doorway for a moment, surveying the situation. Or, more correctly, he was looking for the warmest spot where he could try and defrost his shivering body. He’d make a mental note to borrow his brother’s coat next time he decided to go for a visit to the head quarters. Golden eyes spotted the chair he had been sitting in in his last visit, and he made a beeline for it, Plopping down a little ungracefully, he curled up into a ball, blowing on his hands in an failed attempt to warm them up. He was so cold he could have sworm their were icicles hanging off his antlers. Jeeze. "It suits me... And how old are you?" X was curious, since you could never tell age with anyone who was more than 'just human', and since she never looked a day over 20, maybe younger, she never assumed. "And Aylee... you may not want to work out with me, I tend to get a bit... primal sometimes. It's best done alone or with someone who can fight damn well..." Her eyes darted to the door with the newfound blast of cold air hit her, causing the young vampire to hiss lightly, having gotten fairly warm and comfortable ever since she had plopped down on the couch. "In front of the fire may be warmer..." The voice she used wasn't cold, just a bit bland considering how obvious the solution seemed to be. Sanura murred with the ear licking, flicking the cat-like ear in reaction again, burrowing further under Elvis's chin. Though he wasn't like Arram, he was still snuggly and warm, so everything was okay. Plus, she hadn't seen Arram in a while. Kunny looked up as the door opened and shut again. s**t. It was that hot deer boy again. Perhaps this time he might be able to get by without making a complete and utter fool of himself. With a quick, "Uhm... See you," he excused himself from where Aylee, X, and the two boundless were, and moved over towards the chair, "Hey." He stared down at Pryderi for a moment, thinking. Finally he reached a decision and took of his scarf, "If you're cold, you can wear this..." His sister had also looked up as the door opened. She could see outside that it was starting to snow, and it seemed to have begun to fall heavily now, too, since Pry had entered the HQ. Eh, it'd be fine, she was sure. She turned back to X, "Since he seems to have deserted us, I'll answer for him. We turned seventeen, or something to the like, back in November." She grinned sheepishly, "Though I admit it wasn't the happiest of birthdays for me. To be honest, I can't remember exactly how old we are, I lost count. And Kunny refuses to tell me, saying I have to remember on my own..." Yasu purred happily and continued to lick Sanura's ear for a moment, then changed his attention to licking near her chin. He liked the furryness of her... uh... fur... ANYWAY, it was something that noone else he had met yet had, except for the orange one, who seemed to want nothing to do with him. Blinking at Kunny's reactions, it finally clicked in her mind, and she simply chuckled as she turned to Aylee. "I see... Is he bi or gay?" Blunt as she was, there was no distaste in her voice, only curiousity. "Ah I must have missed your birthday... happy belated, I do believe mine's coming up sometime in the near future as well..." The saber mewed softly as the licks continued, her eyes closing as she relaxed against him and in Aylee's lap, purring softly when the Elvis licked under her chin. She liked that, a lot apparently. Pryderi's eyes moved to X as she spoke, snorting softly and snuggling deeper into the chair. He hated fire with a passion, and no matter how warm it was there was no way he was going to go near it. He'd had quite a painful experiance with a certain forest fire that he didn't want to bring up, so he simply ignored X's supposed "obvious" solution to his problem. The soft purrs and mrrs caught his sensitive ears, and he looked curiously at the two boundless, not really being about to figure out what the mass of fur was. Must have been what Midori was snuffling their last visit. His musings were cut short when Kunny approached him, Pry's golden eyes watching the assassin carefully. What was he going to do? He hadn't said much the first time they met, so the deer boy considered his approach quite brave. Perhaps...whatever thought he had been about to finish was abruptly ended when Kunny took off his scarf and handed it to the deer-boy. Thoroughly surprised, he blinked a few times up at Kunny. What the? "S-sorry?" He asked, both his shivering and his surprise causing him to stutter over his words. Aylee blinked at X for a moment, then laughed, "Bi. We both are, actually, though he shows it more than I do." She grinned slightly and then moved her and to her lap and ran it quickly over Yasushi's back before letting it fall to her side again. "And don't worry about missing it. I sort of wasn't really up to meeting anyone anyway. I got a... er... rather disturbing gift from our elder sister." The girl looked over at Solo who was staring rather anxiously into the fire for some reason, "I worried the heck out of Solo, during those two weeks, it seemed." She shook her head and grinned at X, "Anyway, so what do you want for yer Birthday, eh?" Kunny thought for a moment or a decent responce, then shrugged, finding the effort not within himself, "Eh, you looked cold. Don't ask." He watched Pry for a moment, "Anyway, if you don't want to use it, it's fine." ...Alright, he was sounding really lame here. It was probably best he shut up. So much for not making a fool of himself this time around. Yasu happily licked Sanura under her chin some more, finding that the fuzzy furball seemed to like it. Her purring was comforting to him, if that made any sense. Over by the fire, Solo finally twitched, glancing at the clock. Wasn't it getting a bit late for them to be out? Eyes narrowing, the kitsune looked out the window, only to see snow falling extremely quickly. He stood and moved over closer so he could see better. ...."Hey Aylee... I think we have a bit of a problem..." X nodded and then turned her eyes to follow Kunny and his apparently bad attempts at flirting with the deer boy. "He's not too good with flirting is he...?" Her eyes stayed on the pair as she spoke to Aylee, a quick glance with her eyes the only thing that showed whom she was talking to. "Oy, Kunny... need some help with the... charm.." The young vampire smirked with amusement, an eyebrow raising as she crossed one leg over the other, her skirt hiking up a bit more. Not like she cared. Finally, she returned her eyes to the younger girl and chuckled. "It wasn't a vibrator was it? Like, one of the monster double ended ones?" The chuckling stopped when she spoke, a dead serious expression on her face, and she wasn't exactly acting. Sanura's purring didn't stop, only getting louder when the badger continued to lick under her chin, causing her to nuzzle against the other Boundless happily. This Elvis guy was nice. Pryderi swallowed, before carefully reaching out and taking the scarf. "Thank you." He hadn't expected anyone to do much of anything for him. After all, he hardly knew anyone. Smiling softly at Kunny, he wrapped the scarf around his heck, snuggling into the corner of the chair. "You can um...sit there if you want." The deer boy nodded to the space in the chair beside him. Pryderi had surprisingly picked a rather large chair, and there were definately enough room for the assassin beside him. Besides, he seemed interesting enough. "So you're Kunny, right?" *adds on after reading X post* X's comment made him jump slightly, golden eyes regarding the vampire suspiciously. Did Kunny need help with...charm? The deer boy blushed slightly, hiding his red face behind his knees. This was embarassing. Aylee blinked at X for a moment, then started to laugh, "No, no he's not!" She let her laughter fade, thinking back to all her times with Devon, "Then again, neither am I, so I shouldn't be talking." She sighed and considered going to the kitchen for a drink, but was immediately glad she wasn't holding one when X mentioned her thoughts on the 'gift', "A... a... NO!" Her cheeks were bright red, now. It was sad, but she was extremely naive when it came to these things, "No, it wasn't anything like that!" she said, and ran a hand through her short hair, "It was just a letter... Erm... I think only Kunny might understand." Kunny glared back at X for a moment, hoping Pry hadn't heard her say that, then turned his attention back to the deer boy. Pryderi had taken the scarf, but his offer made Kunny blush almost as bad as his twin had done at X's comment. Then again, he'd never get anywhere if he was this weak all the time, so he accepted the offer and sat down. "Er, yeah. My full name is actually Aylee Shayne Shiroko, but Kunny works best around here. It saves on confusion." ...He was so lame. Yasu liked the purring sound that was coming from the other boundless. It was pretty, in an odd way, and comforting. The purring that is. He continued to lick under her chin in an effort to make her purr louder. Solo narrowed his eyes at his guardian and X, then turned around and stalked back to his beanbag. Fine, see if he cared if they got stuck here. They wouldn't be able to put the blame on him, when they figured it out! X gave Kunny the cheekiest grin possible, followed by an innocent look and a light comment when he glared at her. "Are you sure you don't need help?" Again, she innocently trailed her tongue over her lips before smirking lightly and returning her attention back to Aylee. "Ah... I do need to go 'toy' shopping now that I mention it... Wanna come?" Once again, her face did not waver from complete seriousness as well as a bit of thoughtfullness thrown into the mix. Her eyes gave Aylee a questioning look, wondering what her reaction would be to her next statement. "We could pick Kunny up a little something while we're there as well..." Now the evil smirk emerged. In it's own timely fashion of course. Sanura nuzzled into Yasu as he continued to lick under her chin, the purring becoming lower as she seemed to be drifting off to sleep underneath the other Boundless.

2/02/05X's journal I'm sorry I haven't written in this in a while, things have been hectic and all. A baby appeared today out of nowhere, well not nowhere but a pile of feathers... but STILL. That and Jack's disappeared and I'm worried sick, not eating too well either. Slush and Isto have been watching the babies (all three of them) when Jack and I couldn't or didn't have the time to do it, and now I have another one. Sanura's been doing well and has taken a liking to the twins, though she sleeps a lot of the time, like any cat would, she gets these strange bursts of energy, like she's on bloody catnip. Quite amusing actually. I wonder if she'll grow soon, Kochi can baby sit Nao if needed... or one of the other babysitables in our family. Must go, there are boxes everywhere. -X

3/15/05XBear X sighed softly. She was too stressed, too tired, and there was too much to do. As much as she didn't want to admit, the vampire needed some help, and she couldn't keep looking to Slush and Isto for baby sitting.
Time to call Moo and ask for cheap labor.
Without a second thought, X picked up the phone and called her, and after mild discussion, they decided that Banda would be the best bet for Sanura since he was fifth now.
Hopefully this would help.

 "X?"
"Not now Nathan, my patience for you is very low. What do you want?" She was obviously irritated by the sudden interruption.
A stream of water went flying into the air and striped across the vampire's front. Her daughter simply giggled and feigned innocence.
"Well," Nathan began uneasily, he didn't like seeing X like this, especially directed towards him, "I went... She... Sanura grew."
This was the last thing that the daywalker was expecting to hear, and she simply stared at him, mouth agape. Not even another soaking attempt by Stazja knocked her from the disbelief.
"You're shitting me," she finally squeaked.
Nathan simply shook his head.
X stood, motioning for Nathan to finish up in here before giving the Jivvin a pleading look, "Be a good girl Anastazja."
The child nodded, but immediately disregarded said plea by flinging a bath toy at Nathan's head the moment her mother's back was to her.
Nathan sulked, but did as he was told, glaring at the giggling girl.
Once in the hall, the vampire broke into a light jog as she made her way to Sanura's room. She had thought the little saber was a lost cause. The little girl -had- been a baby for over a year after all.
But when X opened the door, she let out a small gasp.
Her baby was no longer a baby, and was absolutely a stunning child. A stunning child who had an afro. The first thing, after the massive amount of hair, she noticed was the girl's eyes, they were brighter than ever.
"Mother?" The girl questioned, lifting her head upwards to sniff the air before breaking into a toothy grin. "I grew," she explained in English.
"No s**t," X said with wide eyes, a smile creeping up on her lips as she fell to her knees and pulled the saber girl into a tight hug. Tears even threatened to spill from her eyes. "I didn't think... You were a baby for so long..."
"I know, but you still took care of me," Sanura said appreciatively, eyes positively glowing with the embrace.
"And you can... Really well," X stuttered, still in shock over the entire situation.
Another wide grin. "I just know... I think I picked it up from everyone always talking around me. Seems logical to me."
Well damn, this made things simpler. X was happy that not only was Sanura okay, but there were no obvious damage from the extended period of babyhood. They had gotten lucky.
The vampire nodded, glancing around the room before pulling away from the embrace and standing. "We should go shopping... You're obviously not a baby anymore."
Sanura nodded, eyes grazing her room absently before turning them back to X. They were positively beaming in excitement. "Let's go."
And so they went.

 Best Buy.
They were only there because Nathan mentioned that a computer for the main house and a laptop for Sanura may be a good idea, especially if she was going to be commuting back and forth to the Boundless estate.
Cell phones would also be a good idea for most of the kids as well, since they were getting older. The vampire idly wondered if Dari was responsible enough for a cell phone, but in the end, she was left with no other choice.
The cart had been loaded with the latest and best desktop and notebook, as well as all the trimmings, and while X was arguing with the salesperson over cell phone plans for a family her size, Sanura was wondering the store. The vampire had given her permission and would whistle her over whenever it was time to leave.
The saber was in paradise, green and amber eyes as wide as saucers. The video games interested her, but she felt bad when she was already getting a laptop AND a cell phone.
She browsed peacefully, ears flicking and folding back whenever there was a loud noise or a child began to scream. People were so loud and it irritated her sensitive ears.
Sanura noticed, but ignored the stares the other children were giving her, content to simply browse through the video games. Thumbing through the Gamecube games, she picked up one that interested her and flipped it over to read the back.
She heard giggling behind her, but she chose to ignore it. That is, until Sanura felt a particularly painful yank on her short tail.
Losing all composure, she whirled around with an irritated hiss. Her pupils were wide and her teeth visible with her snarl. The fur on the back of her neck even stood on end.
The boy who had been laughing the moment she turned around, looked pale, but still stood his ground. Or maybe he was too scared to move. Either way, his mother was nowhere in sight and Sanura knew that.
Her snarl turned into a sinister grin as she began to circle him, as a predator would circle their prey.
Closer and closer.
She could smell his fear, and it was so sweet to her.
Lunging at the child, Sanura was surprised to be scooped up and hefted over someone's shoulder. A quick sniff identified the someone as X, and the saber blinked, both shocked and miffed at the interruption.
"Don't eat little boys Sanura," X said plainly, "They're usually covered in germs."

XBear "Just... Go get him." X mumbled in defeat, eyes glaring at the various wires in the back of the computer. She had put them into the matching plugs, so why wasn't the monitor coming on? She debated kicking the machine, but after what she spent on it the idea was immediately squashed. Sanura nodded, carrying her own (shiny new) laptop in her arms as she carefully climbed the stairs to where all the bedrooms were. Stopping at the steps, she idly sniffed the air, ears tilting in attempts to hear someone else. Not that she remembered what he sounded like anyways. Her nose catching scent of something distinctly feline and male, Sanura padded over to that door, raising a paw to knock on his door lightly. Hopefully this was the right room. Kochikens Mortimer had just opened up his door when Sanura was just about to knock, her paw probably falling into his furry chest. Looking down at her, Morty wracked his memory. Small girl. Big teeth. Looked kinda like him, sans the wings. Oh, right, Sanura! He recalled her faintly, atleast her name, and especially cause felines were cool. Much cooler then dogs.
His spine quivered, raising a large orange eyebrow at her. "Yuh?" He questioned, wondering why she was at his door. It was an awfully strange coincidence, and he couldn't help but still feel slightly paranoid. Morty took the time inbetween speaking to scratch his stomach. XBear Sanura blinked as the door opened, immediately looking down to see if he was there, only to get an eyeful of Morty's crotch area. She had expected him to be small! It took her so long to grow, so why wasn't he still small? Not noticing that she had 'knocked' on his chest, Sanura quickly shot her eyes up, and up (and up) until she could see his face. He was bigger, and his wings were HUGE! Cue jealousy. "Um..." She began, trying to find her voice while she hugged her laptop to her chest, "X wants you to fix the new computer she got..." Pausing to step back a little, she gave him a bit of a hopeful smile, "And maybe... You could help me set up my notebook... I just got it and Mother says you're great with these kinds of things..." Kochikens He didn't recognize the look of jealousy in her eyes, and took it as she was pleased to see him. Oh, so, X wanted help with her computer? That was easy, and so was the request of Sanura, quickly visually examining what she held. "Sure, I know that model." Mortimer stepped out of his room, although he found difficulty in it. His wings were bigger then he expected, and he had to pull them close into his body to fit through the doorframe.
Mortimer couldn't help but question as to what she was staring at, atleast mentally, he was too pleased with his new form to be rude. The Fa'e turned the close the door, still edgy about people seeing into his mess. XBear Giving him a rather toothy grin, Sanura made her way past him to the stairs, short tail flicking behind her. A loud, crashing noise was heard from downstairs, followed by an angry string of curses. The saber pinned her ears back to her head at the noise as she hurried down to where the noise had come from. Upon entering the newly deemed 'computer room,' Sanura had to keep herself from laughing. There X was, sprawled across the floor like very ungraceful road kill. It looked as if she had tripped over something, probably the cords behind her on the floor. Kochikens He followed her, working his new awkward body the best he could. Everything seemed closer to him, and the ceiling was quite a bit lower. It was also hard to keep himself from knocking things over. But that didn't stop him from forcing back a laugh at X's own folly.
Slipping as gracefully as he could past Sanura, he offered a paw to help her up while holding a his amusement in. The computer of course was a mess, but that wouldn't take long to fix. Mortimer had also forgotten that X might be alarmed by a strange looking beast such as himself. XBear X took the hand without even looking at who it was. Needless to say she got a surprise when she stood up and was eye to eye with chest fur. Tensing, she slowly raised her eyes till the came across his face, just like Sanura had done just minutes ago. "What the ******** she realized that this furball smelled like Morty and that he was Fa'e. They were always prone to weird growth spurts. A wicked grin soon crossed her lips. He was now old enough to baby sit. Back to the subject at hand, "Fix the computer Morty... Please." The last word was added hastily at the end, just in case. Sanura simply watched the exchange in mild amusement, keen to keep her mouth shut for now. Kochikens He stared at X with mild confusion. If there was one thing he didn't understand, it was women, and he certaintly didn't understand the rather evil tone of her words or the grin. Raising a brow at her, and feeling a bit edgy, he kneeled down next to the computer.
This was easy for him. Deftly, it was just one cord here, one cord there. He could do this blindfolded easy, no problem. Using the swiss army knife that was attached to his inhaler along with his keys, hard drives were easily mastered under his will. The Fa'e pulled his wings down behind himself, noting that these feathery instruments were much harder to master then any motherboard. Locating the problem, and solving it then hooking up the rest of the parts X's computer was very quickly fixed. A claw reached out to tap the monitors on button, and it successfully booted up.
Mortimers whiskers bristled with pride. XBear Watching him like a hawk, she tried to remember what he did, but was soon at a loss and decided not to bother. If it broke again, she'd find Morty. "Thanks," she grunted, taking a seat at the computer and eyeing it blankly. Sanura chuckled at her mother before turning her eyes upwards to the Fa'e. She was immensely impressed at his computer skills, "Awesome. Now can you help me?" Glancing over at X, who didn't look too happy, Sanura motioned for him to follow her to the living room, which was surprisingly unoccupied. She sat on the couch, curling her legs under her and waiting for Morty. The notebook was carefully set on her lap. Kochikens Smiling at X the best he could, he stepped out of the room. "No problem." Morty said before taking the first ticket out of there, not liking the way she had looked at him. Or the way she looked at that poor computer. No wonder it hadn't worked.
Again, Mortimer followed Sanura, now into the living room. "Yeah, sure." It would seem that while his body may of grown, his vocabulary, did not. He kneeled down infront of her to examine the back of the Laptop. "Brand new? You got the box?" XBear "Yes to both questions." The box was procured after a bit of rummaging through the shopping bags. She set everything that had come with the laptop onto the coffee table. With her hands free, one paw reached up to try and tame her 'mane' of hair. X had braided it, but it still wasn't behaving as much as she wanted. Morty was lucky because he had straight hair. Not only that, but wings, a long tail, and he was big. He didn't have huge teeth hanging out of his mouth either. "How did you get so big?" She questioned. Maybe if he told her how, then she could grow too. Sanura already felt broken for staying a baby for so long, and she'd be much happier if she could fix whatever wasn't working. Kochikens He took the laptop from her and set it on the coffee table, sitting cross legged and getting to work. As to answer her question, though, he felt there was only one thing he could say. Mortimer turned around, grinning fiercly and pointing to the gem that hung around his chest with a claw.
"This. This, and a lot of hard work." Morty shrugged. "As well as a complicated story about the destruction of the universe." The Fa'e paused, his brows creasing. "Speaking of that... have you seen Nao anywhere?" XBear Sniffing lightly towards the gem, she gave it a strange look, "It's just a crystal..." At his next comment, Sanura's eyes widened and she gasped, "The destruction of the universe?!" Well damn, now she was never going to grow. Nao? The saber looked off as she thought, an expression of concentration playing across her features. She tried to remember this Nao person, but she had only heard his name spoken, never seen him. "I don't know... Him or where he is. Why?" Kochikens "It's actually the current embodiment of the gaurdian of my creator." He said this all very passively, turning back to the laptop and getting to work on it. "As for the universe, it's cool for now. But.." Eyebrows furrowed once more, "If anyone ever comes here looking for me and they're a stranger, don't let em in, okay?"
Directing his attention back, he made a note to find Naoilin and fill him in. And to fill in Arkie, and to apologize for running off. That... and to show off his sideburns. Surely he and everyone alive would agree his sideburns were badass. XBear This all was very confusing to Sanura, who had no knowledge of Fa'e at all, but his advice was heeded, "Okay, and I'll tell Mother too... She's scarier than I am because I'm just goofy looking." She offered a sage nod before scooching over to watch what he was doing, utterly fascinated. Oh she couldn't wait until she could use it. It was her new treasure. XBear "You built your own laptop?" Sanura was astonished, and very intrigued. Morty actually turned out to be cool. Hopefully he wouldn't get annoyed at her and stop helping her with her laptop. Frowning when it didn't work, she grew a little doubtful; maybe he wasn't god-like with computers after all. Oh well, "Do you play video games? I was looking at some in Best Buy before some little kid pulled on my tail." The tiger scowled, remembering how X wouldn't let her teach the snot a lesson. It was only going to be a friendly nibble or two. Never mind that her sabers looked nothing near friendly. Kochikens "Yeah, it was easy. Took apart the Tivo when I was just a baby." He scowled at the laptop. What was wrong? Checking it over, he laughed at himself. One of the cords was loose in the back. Turning it on, he cracked his knuckles and began to set it up internally. "Uh, yeah. Tons. My favourites are MMORPGS, although I like some FPS ones."
The Fa'e realized he was speaking in lingo. Scolding himself, he corrected. "You like any?" XBear Yep, right over her head. "I've never played one before actually... Been stuck as a baby for over a year, just grew recently." A slight crimson tint could be seen behind her fur. Sanura was embarassed to admit something had been that wrong with her. Kochikens "Hey, me and you both. I was a baby for a long time, toddler for longer. Been a kid for longer then most of my species or whatever. Seen the others shoot up around me like beanstalks." Mortimer's typing became quite loud, doing so at an amazing WPM. "You've never played a game? Remind me to remedy that..." He spoke idly, focusing mainly on installing the operating program. XBear His comments made her feel a little better, maybe she wasn't broken after all? "Is this Nao like you?" She asked, mind relaying back to the earlier comment about the boy. Her eyes watched him typing, continuing to be amazed, but she grinned wide with his 'offer'. "That sounds great... And thank you for helping me out." Motioning to the laptop with a paw, Sanura returned to absently trying to depoof her hair. Kochikens Mortimer stopped. Did he really want to compare him and Naoilin? Afterall. Nao was... Nao. It would be disrespecting himself to call himself anything remotely like Nao. He had an answer. "Naoilin is a Fa'e, I am a Fa'e, but I am NOTHING like Naoilin." Decided, he pressed the enter button and crossed his arms across his chest.
"Done." He announced, again, proud of himself. He hadn't lost the touch, or whatever stupid talent he possessed for these types of things. XBear Well she didn't mean to rub his fur the wrong way, and Sanura simply nodded, making a mental note not to compare him and this Naolin again. Seemed to be a sore subject for him, for whatever reason. When he announced that the laptop was done, the saber pushed herself towards him and the screen to take a look, paws clapping together happily. Ohthiswasgoingtobeawesome! Turning back to Morty, she leaned in and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek, "Oh thank you Morty!" And then another for good measure. She was so excited! Kochikens Mortimer grinned maniaclly as she was overjoyed, impressed with himself. But, when she kissed him, it wasn't the same feeling as he had gotten from previously being kissed on the cheek by girls. Why? Was it because she was now younger then him?
Puzzled with this new information, he stored it away for later use. "No problem. Ever have technology difficulties again, you know where to come." He stood up, dusting off his knees. "I gotta go to somewhere, see you later, Kay?" XBear The sabertooth tiger stifled a squeal, paws rubbing together as her bright green and amber eyes took in the sight of her working laptop. "Okay, I will!" Waving at his retreating form, she slid into where he had been sitting on the couch. Right in front of her new best friend. Sanura continued to beam long after he was gone, immediately latching onto her laptop.
