Divone looked between the two youths as they spoke - in most ceremonies it as the males who took the initiative, but with the pairing ceremony it was the females. Mare's were the cornerstone of the family and she was pleased to see that these two had been well taught and were well versed in the the ways of the five herds.
After scrutinizing the couple for several long seconds the grey mare could find no lies within their words and no twinges from the spirits let her know there were lies in their hearts. Their deep looks then had not been the result of an unsuccessful journey..but of something else. Whatever it was it was none of the mares business and so she merely inclined her head slightly in accepting letting her previously stern look soften slightly. "Then as the spirits have decreed the five herds welcome you into their hearts as a mated pair" The Spirit Walker intoned before stepping sideways and motioning with her muzzle towards the grove through which they could now pass freely.

Shylah's heart soared as the Spirit Walker accepted their words with no further questioning, not that that she'd expected anything else - there was no reason to believe she and Maponous wouldn't be accepted, the spirits had clearly been speaking clearly to the elders when they assigned them each others name, why else would they have been shown what they were.
With a glance back at Maponous, Shylah inclined her own head in respect to the elder and walked into the grove.

Hearing Divone's acceptance of their journey was like music to his ears. His gave Divone a deep bow but spoke not another word to her. None were needed now. Maponus followed Shylah into the grove. These were the first official steps they were taking as their life as a new couple. And though the road ahead would prove challenging they knew that by being together they could overcome anything.
