Stargarden pulled his head out too fast and once against bumped it, flinched, stood up, bumped it again... like on repeat in went for a few more times until he paused, took a step back and finally lifted his head. He really didn't like this buck, it was too violent! Finally, he turned to Last Whisper. "Why wouldn't anyone like them? They're not scary at all."

A little shocked, Last Whisper just stood and stared as Stargarden bumped his head repeatedly, and just as she had snapped out of it and was about to step in to help him out, he removed himself from the pattern.
As for his question, the doe shrugged and said softly, "I don't know, and I don't understand, at that. But I guess it's for the better. It means that no one will try to take them from me!" A genuine smile of happiness spread across her features.

Stargarden didn't have any possessions, and didn't understand her fear of things being stolen but he nodded casually. "Yes, I suppose it is better," he stated before his eyes glared at the tree. "You should ask this buck to leave though. He's very violent. He might squish the foxbuns or attack you like he did me!"

She looked curiously from the buck, to around the area and didn't see a buck anywhere in sight, other than Stargarden of course, but when she looked back at Stargarden she remembered that he had muttered something similar earlier.
She glanced over at the tree that he was apparently glaring at and put tow and two together. "Oh no, he protects them, he does. He keeps them safe from the eyes of others."

"Oh, I see!" He stated as he stopped glaring at the tree as he turned his head to look bad at Last Whisper. That's when he caught sight of something in the distance and his ears perked up. He started moving towards the creature and he noticed a long scaly tail and jaws slowly opening. It was Bites For Fun! He turned his head back at Last Whisper.
"It was nice to meet you," he said as he spoke to Last Whisper, Quickfoot and Happyfoot, "but Bites For Fun wants to play," and with that, he hurried along into the water, chasing the crocodile once again.

A polite nod, and "It was nice to meet you, also, Stargarden." He had found Bites For Fun? She looked up to where the buck was running just then and caught sight of an impressive maw full of sharp teeth sink into the waters. her head tilted for the umpteenth time that day and she wondered for a moment if that was really safe, playing with a crocodile.... but she quickly dismissed the thought and called out after the running kimeti, "Goodbye! Nice meeting you, too, Bites For Fun!"
She shook her head just once and then turned back towards her den, giving her tree trunk a quick nuzzle before she ducked through the entrance. She circled on the spot, satisfied with the spot, she curled up around her newest Treasure and murmured to it as she fell into her mid-day nap.
