Okay, in 8th grade, we had this Asian dude for a sub. One of the guys in choir said he looked like Jackie Chan, and said so aloud. Well, the sub got all pissed at him and started ranting about how we think that all Asians look the same and all that crap. Truth be told, he did sort of look like Jackie Chan.
Same year, same student, we were doing a Newsies Medley. In the song, "I'm the King of New York" this guy got the solo part where he says "A saturday night with the mayor's daughter." Our director said that was perfect, and said it sounded like a dirty old man.
Same year, again, this was a pretty fun year. We were doing moves for something, I can't remember what, may have been Newsies. Our director was suggesting moves, and one was putting your hands on your knees, and bouncing a bit. Somebody said it looked like a horny gopher, everybody laughed, including the director, and she used that as a threat from that point on.
10th grade, this one is a bit more... yeah. We were doing something, I can't remember what, but somehow we got around to Pop's last year and one of the guys that was a senior then. Apperently he had been giving our director a massage. One of the girl's said she heard her say "harder, harder, deeper, deeper". Everybody laughed, director and all. Then she said "that was when I still liked *dude's name*" That just made us laugh even harder.
Our high school director will tell us to squeeze either a dime in our butt and hold it there while we are singing, or to squeeze a chunk of coal into a diamond. eek

Ayamechan Pharaoh Ramases Ayamechan Choir bus, sophomore year. Two choirs were crammed on it: Bel Canto (which I was in) and A Capella. This one guy in A Cap randomly said "my tux smells like cat piss." And the director was like "well, why did you let your cat piss on it?" And the guy was like "...." Umm....I know of a Bel Canto choir in my area. Where're you from? Central Missouri. o.o; bel canto is what they have at my school too, and a cap.. and im in Northern Missouri.. maybe its a missouri thing..

Then in 10th, we were working on a song, and we heard the melody beeping. Turns out one of the girl's was playing it on her cell by turning the buttons into a keyboard. Our director didn't mind, she thought it was cool.

well once our choir director, mrs phillips, asked us to feel her neck to feel how her breath control affects it or something like that..and the class clown went up to her and felt her neck and said "hmm, the strength of a thousand suns" then sat down all serious-like, lol
another time it was realllly quiet, and my friend dylan got called and he jumped off the risers and all the sudden a little voice said "oh no you did-int" in that attitudy way. there was a silly slammer in his pocket and it went off when he landed on the floor lol

ThisIsJello This just happened this weekend during our concert. 3nodding So, next to the choir room there's a hallway with a bunch of practice rooms leading off of it. During the concert, we aren't allowed to go watch the solo acts ( stressed ) so I was in one of the practice rooms hanging out with some of my friends and the door was open. I look out and I see one of our resident gayboys skipping down the hall in a red dress and a wig singing 'Turnaround'. Later that night, I found out he was dressed that way for the senior skit, and was supposed to be dressed up as Mrs. Kalbach, one of our directors. But it was still pretty weird. xd OMG that is amazing i wish meh choir was more exciting.....actually come to think of it i wish i HAD a choir this city suxs with its none choirness except in elementry schools and the school upstairs and ya not going there scary edenites

AriaStarSong The naming of the fruit...quote] Yeah Steighner does go a little bonkers in the Winter.... remember what happened in band? He motioned for them to keep playing, he left the room, and then came back in witha powdered white wig and had a fixed expression on his face (like the faces of the old composers in the pictures)... coincidentally, the song didn't get finished.... I know it was band thing, but it was really funny and stuff like that happens alot in the winter....

When Steighner was posting possible musicals for next year on the wall outside the band room, he posted pros and cons for each show. I scanned down the list, just out of curiosity (I'm not going to be there next year, so...) and my eyes got caught on "'WarCraft: The musical.' Pros: Excellent story line, lots of action. Cons: Doesn't actually exist, but I do have an idea for a musical about a kid who gets stuck in an RPG"
They settled on Suessical, but I thought it was funny. My teacher and his obsessions with videogames...

mmm I just remembered another funny thing Steighner did..... He was playing a joke on one of the less bright choir members. His conductor's wand comes apart so he loosened it up and handed it to them. It "broke" and he adopted an "agahst" expression and was like, "Oh no, it'll take me several months to get a new one.I mean this one took long enough to get and it was made especially for me. I mean, they took the caste of my hand and I had to send that in and now I'll have to do it all over again." You should have seen the look on that poor person's face.
