The thief leader; feeling his strength being sapped by divine intervention, rushes forwards to attack as quick as possible. However, he wobbles slightly and instead of smashing into the paladin with full force, only manages to scrape the side of Poa's defensive barrier... He is repeled straight into the waiting jaws of Vincent. Thrashed and bashed, he stumbles a way. Luckily for him, the third strike just grazes his overcoat. Cutting a large swath of cloth off. He mumbles about something but before he could react Bellamin swings in. Dodging left and right, the thief leader barely manages to get away from Bellamin. However a quick trip from Solstice sends the nimble man to the ground. Verandi smiles and casts a spell. In an instant, one of the large stone tiles is lifted off the ground by a growing stalagmite with unatural speed. He hits flies into the air and smashes into the earth with a bone shattering thud. But he manages to get up... And smile as his men are ripped apart.
The nearest thief gets a large spinning drill to the chest from 4 Co. With a harsh scream, the drill rips into the poor fellow sending him for a spin. The oddest thing is... While stuck ontop of a rapidly rotating rotor of death, he still seemed to hold onto a human form... Although his fine clothing seems to be in shambles. Black goo drips from 4 Co.'s arm like blood. When it hits the floor, it evaporates in an instant; like a shadow being vanquished by a light.
The second thief takes the purifitcation dart right to the chest. Looking down at the odd artefact in doesn't notice the duo rushing towards it. Taking twin daggers to the chest and a heap of venom to the blood stream, the thief staggers back only to stumble into the mauling ball of fur known as Misery. With one swift motion, the thief throws Misery off of him hard into the pavement and promply seems to spazm. The black evaporating blood which poured down his neck and chest seems to stop flowing and the thief stands errect. The shade of the buildings hide his eyes.
The third thief takes a whole harbriner's serenade in painfilled screams. He stops attacking Lujeta and prompty starts stumbling away. Black ooze creeps out of his ears, nose, and eye-sockets.
With a crash and a flash of light, the fourth thief takes a blast of energy in the back while missing a good opportunity to deal damage to Firu. The flames quickly extinguish as he stands up; royally pissed.
The sixth thief punts Misery away. It doesn't do anything else before the gravity swords swings upward in a rage of molten ore however. Sliced in twain, the two sides of the thief manages to stumble away before reconecting with a sickening slurping noise. The massive ammounts of black goo evaporate before they even hit the floor.
Aroused by the tectonic action, a large ammount of copy-cat thiefs spy thier bretherin in need. Once again looking like copy cats; they all start to converge on you. These thief seem to pour out of every shadowy corner of the plaza. Both guards and adventuer's alike seem to be losing the fight due to sheer numbers.
Being near these beings, you all feel slightly sick. And with 4 Co's case, you detect a large ammount of radiation and electromagnetic energy radiating of of the thieves.

Thieves will attack everyone. They all will drain either defense or attack
Thief leader with grieve the loss of his attack power. Thief Lieutenant will be running in from the fountain side and promptly beat on whatever happens to be the closest.
Bellamin and Solstice will spend AP to get their weapons, while Verandi will help clear the dance floor.

[[Solstice picks up his wolf-charm first... As that only requires 1 AP and Bellamin spends 1 AP to pick up his b*****d sword... Course not that this matters due to the fact that none of you need to pick anything up ^.^]]
With marathon speed, Solstice picks up Bellamin's sword and hurls it at him. Without further hesitation, the Spellsword grabs his blade and spins it around in his hand. They both grin and continue their dash to their weaponry which lie not so far away. Seeing one thief taking the lead when leading in some others, Bellamin and Solstice both hurled themselves onto their target.
Verandi let out a sigh and spoke a few verses of magic. This was a big one.

(Roll is for Refuge. It has a chance of failure of 25% vs Normal Monsters, 50% chance vs Lieutenant or Player Characters, and 75% vs Bosses. Though...I'm not sure how we'll be able to tell if it fails or succeeds. O_O;; Bellamin, this is up to you or we can try to come up with a method and I'll re-roll the die to make it fair if needed. This is the first time refuge has been used in the guild so I am unsure about how it would react. I know it failed the 50% for lieutenants so all of those type of creatures may damage Perrian, but I am unsure if it failed for bosses and normal monsters. Shall we make it be that a 2 be fail for normal monsters, and 2-4 be fail for bosses?)
Perrian smirked at the results of the battle so far, but the smirk was wiped right off his face when more people came into the fray. "Shoot..." He whispered under his breath and shot a blast at the thief leader to keep his attack at 0 and keep his attacks away. He, then, shot out his heals to keep the party, hopefully alive. Though, he'd also need to keep himself alive. He picked up his cross necklace that was underneath his robe and took it out so it was on top of his robe. He'd use it soon, if needed, but decided to try out a new spell first: refuge. A small barrier, that if you ran into it you'd just bounce right back the direction you ran from, came around him and he smirked, drinking a red potion while he tested this spell. Hopefully, he hoped, this spell would keep him alive and his holy symbol could be given a rest.

[[Hrrrm. Something about refuge should be added to the FAQ. Personally, I was thinking of something along the lines of a chart depending on what you rolled... So for a regular refuge:
1d4 1- Everything failed 2- Normal monsters blocked 3- Lieutenant and normals blocked 4- All enemies blocked
This way the chances are still 25% 50% and 75%... And we don't need to roll a die for EVERY monster who could potentially attack you ^.~]]
Perrian: Sounds good to me, adding that to the FAQ now. ^_^ For the more advanced refuge, I'll just move the everything failed away and move everything up to make another all enemies blocked number.

"Hey!" Poa exclaimed angrily. "I'm suppose to do a show today! You guys are messing it all up." Two rather large balls of crackling arcane power begin to form in Poa's hands. "I guess I'll have to begin the show right here. Ignoring the mass of assailants gathering around them. Mitzka lunges forward launching the two spheres of potent magical energy at the leader of the thief brigade and the one responsible for disrupting what was suppose to be her big evening.

Suddenly all of the lights in the circus tent went out and focused a single spotlight on 4 Co. who was dressed as a ringmaster. "Ladies, gentlemen friends of all ages, I'd like to welcome you to the greatest show on earth." Suddenly all of the lights come back on and start showing each of the combatants in turn. before coming to rest back on him again. "Aren't they something? Now for our first display of daring do, we have nameless thief "A" on the tightrope. Don't worry folks its his first time so we made sure to blindfold him for safety. We also greased the rope and removed the net, so the spectacle can overwhelm you." For a moment the whole circus tent went silent as a slow drum roll could be heard. Without turning around to witness the thief fall off the tightrope 4 Co. smiled and bowed to the audience. "Wasn't he great folks? Next up is nameless thief "B" Who will, like his friend, be blindfolded and tied to this rotating circular panel. Now I'll need some help from the audience..." Suddenly the spotlights shown on the gravity sword sitting out in the stands. "Me, you chose me? OhHHH YEAHHH!" Flying down to the stage it came to a stop beside 4 Co. as he continued his speech. "Once I spin this wheel I want you to find the biggest and sharpest of these knives and I will throw it at "B" and see if I miss." 4 Co. Gestured at what appeared to be an empty bucket next to him with a flourish of his arm. Then spun the wheel as hard as he could. Meanwhile the gravity sword was half inside the bucket looking for any sharp objects. "I don't see any cupcakes Mr. clown..." 4 Co. grabbed the gravity sword and tossed it effortlessly into the spinning thief with a sickening squish. A small clown car came from behind the curtain and bumped into 4 Co's metal leg with a thud as another nameless thief "c" stepped out from it. A spring loaded pie automatically hitting 4 Co. in the face. "Slappy the clown everybody!Trying to upstage me kid? I'll show you." Suddenly the room goes dark as a brilliant white beam lances from 4 Co's chest cavity. The light returning to the scene of 4 Co. Standing alone in the center square bowing. "Thank you, Thank you"

Seeing the sheer number of new combatants was daunting, to say the least. Vincent steeled himself quickly, though. He'd been through war, and this was nothing compared to war. Vincent took off from the leader, grabbing a downed thief's sword as he waded into the group of thieves, slashing anyone and everyone he could reach in an attempt to fell as many as possible.

Removing a mask and throwing off his cloak Talos revealed himself to have hidden amongst the thieves. "When it comes to tracking down robbers, your all not too subtle are you?" Talos put both his hands behind his back drawing a pair of old daggers. "Guess that's the ropes though..." Without increasing his pace he walked past a thief and stabbed him in the torso and as the man fell it was sliced in half by a force unseen. Slipping under the curtain to the circus a young girl gazed at the combatants in shock. "This isn't elephants and zebras!" Her flowing white cape with green insignia marked her a member of the beast masters and sure enough a small blue cat poked its head out from under her hood clinching it. "Stay in there, its dangerous out here..." Eulalie said without realizing the danger she had put herself into. Running through the chaos of thrown blades shadow monsters and explosions she dove next to the aid of a hurt combatant. "May the mother protect you in her warm light." Placing her hands on the combatant she watched the wounds close slightly.
