I'm second chair clarinet. Funny story about that... I have a friend who's a year younger than me and plays trombone. He asked what chair I was in, and I told him. He started makin fun of me, so I asked what chair he was in, and he said first chair. Even though we only have about 4 trombone players and a bunch of clarinet players, it was still awkward. sweatdrop Bow down to Daddy Clarwood. for he is my bass clarinet. And do not forget Clarwood, for he is my clarinet.

I'm first chair drummer in middle school band. There are only two really serious drummers in our section, my ultimate drumming buddy, the second chair, and me. There is one more that is kinda good but most of the time he doesn't take it seriously, he's third chair. He's challenged me twice. The first time he brought in ten measures of RESTS, and the other, he chose he music from the book we used when we started band, WHEN WE WERE STARTING THE CHALLENGE! I swear, he is a idiot.

I don't! I'm a percussionist. That reminds me...
One day, the tubas and other horns were begging to stand up while we played Mount Royal March (A song I play snare on) Mr. Varpness gave the consent, and the band stood up. Two of the three percussionist (I was one of them.) grabbed a chair and sat down, because we stand up the rest of the time. Go ahead and cry, tubas, we only got to sit for three minutes...

1st chair out of 8 in top band. In 2nd band there are 8 or 9, in 3rd there are only about 4.
I also made 1st chair MS region orchestra : D
Let me gloat while I have my chance, I won't be able to for much longer. Next year I'm up against 2 of the best HS flutists in the entire region! We're buddies though!

I'm third chair clarinet out of ten chairs. I wish I could have gotten a higher chair, but I think I did pretty well considering the circumstances: I'm a sophomore and the first two chair players are seniors, and one's the section leader and the other's the drum major.

I'm usually about 3rd or 4th chair clarinet. I can't play the notes above high G :< I can never remember the fingerings. It's okay though... in marching band I can't play and march extremely well most of the time, and as long as you march well, no one will notice if you simply finger the notes xD
