his scout was moving the relatively easy trail of a somewhat unsettled or injured horse sized wolf, keeping up his treaty banner just in case she was an enemy. tracking this thing was easy it wasn't even really trying to hide itself, but boy was it moving along.

Randall looked at the elf with a raised eyebrow and made a face. "You be surprised at how many people would love peace right now, we are all tired from this war." He gave a small sigh as he sat down, flexing his hands to get use to the small stings that his wounds would make him feel, but the elf's saying caught his attention and he looked at her for a moment before smiling a little, that did seem like a good summary of the whole war in itself.
Her reaction to his hand made him raise an eyebrow again, it was odd but Randall thought that since she was an elf, they probably didn't have the simple custom of shaking hands. Still, he made some progress which was better than nothing. "Nice to meet you Key." Grinning to that as he fished around in his pocket for something to eat, he didn't want to dig into his bag yet for any food he had on himself. He did however see how the wolf and Key reacted together and that was when he picked up the noises of someone moving in the woods. "Well they don't want to be quiet..." He took out a knife just in case but relaxed when he saw a banner. "What the hell is a scouter with a treaty banner doing out here?"

"Same can be said for you." Giving her a smirk but watching the rather interesting things that had been going on that were all too quickly wrapping up. "It is never too late to forage the spoils of battle." Attention snapping to the woman between them "I'm sure we could find some sense if we turned over enough rocks and shooed away all the crawling things under them." He gave a stretch, working his muscles some before he started down the rocks. "I'm going shopping." Quoting the air on that last word.
Pulling on a thin spiraled silver chain around her neck she drew a palm sized rather ornate mirror up from under her cloak, giving herself a once over in the shiny surface, though in reality she was using it to look over her shoulder as well and catch the sight of what Randall was seeing. Though the surface gave off a shine for a split second before she dropped it to rest against her chest. "Treaty banner indeed..." And from the way she was dressed she could guess where he was from. Pulling out a throwing knife she flicked it in the scout's direction, having it land in the tree closest to him. "Halt there and speak soldier. What do you want?"

Hated elves. hate hate hate. why did he always get the s**t scout detail. of course the flitted through his head when a dagger got lodged in the tree near him, holding up his banner like it had a magic shield that would stop another one.
"Our Captain would know your name, and your allegiances if any to elf or man. He was grateful for your advice, and for your assistance. He's not the type to let such go unthanked, and would know whom he is thanking."

She glanced up and then gave a shriek and a laugh as the Elder had raised her walking stick and was shooing her on. Asanna knew what she wanted and the older elf was rolling her eyes. Shaeleon's natural need to outdo and outcompete emerged and she went skipping down the side of the mountain, bypassing Orresith with a breezy laugh. "Better move faster than that, Sithy or all the good stuff is going to be gone." Battles always left armor and weapons and all sorts of lovely things simply lying about. Foolish armies without enough sense to clean up after their own.

Randall looked over to the elf and made a note about the mirror she suddenly pulled out, it was totally offset of what she was wearing completely so it must hold some value to her. But what worried him was the human who came to find them, well at least Keyloriah. He did raise an eyebrow at her method to get the man to stop, but then again it was better than letting him even close.
After they were told of what was wanted of her Randall narrowed his eyes and sighed. "What am I then? At least they should of seen me during the fight..." Even though he didn't wanted to be noticed at least they could of mentioned him or something. But a look to Key, since the scout was talking to her.

It really disgusted her to see him cower the way he did. Honestly... "Your captain. Impassioned warrior whom sought battle with honor, awash in a sea of children of war whom sought to do whatever it was they could to go home alive. Him, yes?" Not that she really needed an answer because if it was someone else, this scout wouldn't be bearing a banner as he was. "My allegiance lies with myself, my mount, and the ailing Wind. My actions were not in aide of any others." Funny she seemed to be racking up a lot of thanks from humans lately. First the one following her about and now the honorable warrior. Amber eyes briefly looked to her temporary, as far as she was concerned, traveling companion. What was he fussing for, he should be happy this scout wasn't dragging him back to camp on treason charges. Everyone wanted her name today...admittedly she was a drop in an ocean of elven names. "Keyloriah...though I don't see why he would need my name to thank me. He doesn't even do so himself." He sent this cowering creature. If Rycek sneezed, he'd probably piss himself.
He blinked as she more or less froliced past him and his casual pace. "Hey!" Who did she think she was? This was his party! Thusly he put on some speed, easily vaulting down the rocks and past her. "You were saying what now?" Granted this site required a tad more care, considering the types of summonings and stuff that had been around.

"He would have come himself, but frankly he wasn't able due to circumstances beyond his control."
like an uppity noble brat, for instance.
"I was sent to find you, adn to offer you, should you not have allegiance with the elvish army, amnesty to come to our camp, where you will be his guest for an evening if you wished. Completely at your discretion."
looking over at the human with her.
"Honestly, I don't think anyone expected you to still be traveling with her. But I'm sure you could be welcomed as well if you wanted."

"You can't possibly go without me." And then he outdid her. Seething, she studied him closely and then vaulted over the rock near him, hurrying but with her shorter legs she simply wasn't fast enough. Thus, it was time for more interesting measure. Nocking an arrow in her bow, she took careful aim, making sure he was away from horribly sharp rocks and shot her arrow so that it landed in the perfect spot to pin his pantleg to the ground and embedded there fairly deeply. A giggle as she skipped past yet again. "That I'm going to take all the good stuff before you can get there."

Randall just stood by and watched the conversation between Key and the scout, and he noted that Key always liked to get straight to the point, she didn't beat around the bush so to speak. That was a good trait for an elf and since she was always by herself she needed to be like that. His eyes did meet hers briefly and he didn't smile nor anything else, this whole thing was about her so he let it be about her only. Though he raised and eyebrow at the so called 'offering' by the scout, that was a surprise but in the short moments he had met Key, Randall had a feeling she would refuse to join the human side, even though she already stated she didn't belong to any side. When the scout spoke to him Randall turned his gaze to the man. "Well I rather travel with someone who has helped me for a little while." If they happened to part ways he wasn't going to get upset over it. He then turned back to Key and said, "It's up to you, I don't care but if you go I will, I still owe you for what help you gave me at least."

And he came bearing a personal invite did he? Well well this just got more and more interesting. Granted there was advantage, assuming nothing was poisoned. Rycek couldn't hunt on her own and hunting for the both of them was often time consuming. That and she probably had to feed Randall as well. Besides...those soldiers of his owned her wolf an apology. "My mount comes with us." Pointing at Randall them, "You can continue to pay me back by carrying her saddle and tack. It won't trouble you, the wood is light." Thusly urging the wolf up who was clearly favoring her back leg with a whine or two. Maybe if he was reasonable enough she could convince him to just turn his whole army around now. This was useless and she didn't appreciate being pushed from her own home any farther than they all had pushed her already. Another look to the scout. "Get leading."
With a yelp, momentum flung him face first into the downward slop at a complete stop. He groaned as he lifted his scratched face from the pebbles and watched her skip by happy as a vulture on a carcass again. "You wouldn't know the good stuff if it jumped up and tore your arm off and started to gnaw at the stub left behind." Righting himself then and breaking her arrow to find his feet again.

the scout didn't need to be told twice, and started heading back the way he came, taking the quickest route possible to get this detail over with. after all it wasn't his neck on the line for inviting the 'enemy' that was teh captain's neck there. he was just the messenger boy.
Lucan had dinner prepared just in case for two. and he was wearing a finers shirt and pantes, a little bit of embrodiery, but nothing overly fancy and now all he coudl do was wait until either his messenger came back alone, the horse came back empty, or he had a guest arrive.

Randall just stood by as the decision was being made, he didn't care if she said yes or no, and he didn't care if he went, but by the Gods he was not going to rejoin the army just because he walked right back into camp. Randall would fight his way out if he had to and would run off again. "No problems Key." So Randall went over and grabbed the saddle and tack, lifting it up with no ease and holding it in such a way which was good for him, he was glad he had been worked out while being trained at least.
And so off they went, the scout leading Keyloriah, Key leading the wolf and Randall who walked by the wolf. As they walked Randall couldn't help but look at the big creature. "You're...big." He blinked as he looked over the wolf again. "And you smell of squirrels." Being down wind sucked.

She followed what she deemed a safe distance behind though she did have a chuckle as Rycek made an inquisitive noise at Randall's comments. "Squirrels are her favorite snack." The scout's eager nature to be rid of them found them entering the campquite quickly and she merely kept an eye out for her friend as the scout was pointing out where his captain was. "Randall...stay with Rycek. Don't wave your fingers about itn front of her, she may bite off your hand that way." Giving the wolf a few pats, words, and a point to Randall before looking back to the scout. "Get something for her and Randall to eat."
Thusly she made her way into the tent where this man was, sitting expectantly with food present. "I still don't understand why you go through such lengths to seek me out, Human."

She giggled as her arrow found it's mark, frowning when he managed to fall right on the pile of pebbles. Stupid man. Didn't he know better than to fall half cockeyed? Couldn't he just fall straight onto the nice, soft grass she'd picked out specifically? But that would teach him for next time, wouldn't it? "You're just mad because I'm going to beat you to the bottom." Skidding to a stop at the bottom of the hill and surveying the remnants of the battle. They'd used golems and such and therefore care was needed. Toeing a dead elf with her boot to make sure he truly was dead, she began to root through his pockets. Elves always had such shiny baubles and such.
