The Painter sighed and easily hefted the Delcatty up bridal style before walking out with the drunken cat.

  Zori & KaiZori and Kai padded inside the cool, sleek interior of the building. When the Mudkip had spotted the little Eevee curled up outside the palace walls, tears streaming down her face, he'd decided that enough was enough. And so, here they were. They sold ice cream here, didn't they? He hadn't spent long in the Guild of the Sun, but he'd been here long enough to come to the understanding that when women were upset, they were to be comforted, and that ice cream, a supposedly tasty frozen milk treat was ingested, it brought that comfort. And so, he slapped a few coins onto the counter, and ordered his teammate the first flavor of ice cream on the menu, not really knowing or caring what it meant. It was for Zori to eat, not him. Kai pointed to the ice cream. "Eat." He ordered. The little Eevee scrambled up onto a stool, and proceeded to silently and obediently lick the ice cream out of the bowl. She didn't speak or question the Mudkip's logic, tear-stains still drying on her face.

 SukiSuki led the way into the Frosty Diner, releasing Damon's hand as they entered the little shop. She floated easily over onto a stool, and spun around in a circle, just because she could. She smiled at Damon, glad he was willing to come with her.

The Umbreon braced his metallic limb against the door to hold it open for Opal.
Both golden eyes glanced around at the other Pokemon in the bar.
Just some guild kids it looked like. Some Misdreavus and Sableye.

 OpalOpal looked around as she stepped inside.
"I hope I don't melt everything..." She said softly, glancing up at her head, which was on fire in a diner called the "Frosty" Diner.

Huh, she had a point. Now that he thought about it, inviting a fire type to a ice themed restaurant was not the smartest thing he had ever done.
Way to go, X.
"I'm sure it'll be fine. Erm, but...if stuff does start to melt, I demand you carry me. I can not swim."
His tone was light and joking, but in all seriousness...no, he could not swim and this much ice was bound to make a river once melted.

OpalOpal giggled a little.
"That's fine. Not like I'm much a swimmer, anyway," She replied.
She walked over to a booth and sat down, waiting for Xavier to join her.

The Umbreon chuckled, following behind her and leaping up into the booth with a smile.
Huh, what'd they do next? Idle chat? Was he suppose to flirt or something? Xavier was reaaaalllly bad at flirting.
His panicked mind kicked into overdrive so when one of the Snorunt waiters scurried up, he nearly cat screeched to the ceiling in surprise.
"Ah...heh...uh..."

OpalOpal ordered some Frozen Shellder before she looked at Xavier with a look of worry.
She reached forward and put her hand on his paw.
"It's alright, Xavier, you don't need to exert yourself," She said softly.
"It's not like you need to win me over...~"

Xavier grinned, laughing nervously and rubbed the back of his neck with his free paw.
Good point.
According to the Infernape she already liked him a lot.
Well, he felt he didnt really deserve that sudden devotion. What had he done to make her feel that way anyways?
Aside from publically embarrass himself mutliple times.
He waved a paw and ordered something randomly, hell he didnt he even know what he pointed to on the menu. He'd eat it anyways.
"Sooo, ah...what do we do now? Talk?"
...he really was hopeless.
With Lilac it had been instant attraction. No need for dates or anything.

Xavier idly glance back and forth from the door to the window nearby as though tempted to run.
He wasnt going to, but it was tempting since he felt increasingly more awkward the longer they sat there in silence.
"Aaahhhhh, I guess we make something to talk about then! I figured...I figured you might wonder...about...some things...like...that kid and whatnot. Ask any questions you like, I mean...if we are dating you have a right to know."

She hoped her question wouldn't cause any unnecessary risings of emotions, but she had to know.

Xavier sat there, mouth open slightly.
Lilac was the most beautiful Pokemon he'd ever met. By telling Opal that she was prettier would be insulting Lilac's memory in his mind, but...he didnt want to hurt the Infernape's feelings. She was beautiful too.
NYYYAAHHH! HELP!
"S-sh-she was r-r-really nice..." Dont freak out man! Hold it together!
"Sh-she w-was..wuh....wah..." Cue the water works.
The Umbreon started wailing like a child, paws at his eyes.
"I-I'm s-s-sorreeehhhh..."

OpalOh Arceus, she knew something like this would happen!
Opal swooped around so she was sitting next to Xavier and embraced him.
"I'm sorry, X! I understand, you don't need to say anything more!" She cried and she hugged him close.
The Infernape herself sniffled a little.
It seemed she was just second best next to this Lilac...
