Jono snarled under his breath when he heard Seth's obnoxious voice demanding everything possible. Then he suddenly felt something cold and wet hit his head, followed by a clunk on the head from the cup. Jono instantly stood up and put his hands on his head. He cried out and whined.

Jono's mother instantly grabbed Jono and held him close, "Shhh Jono, don't pout." She grabbed him so he wouldn't make a fuss during their dinner. She prayed to the gods that her boy would cooperate like he should, but there was always complications with him doing so. She wiped his head quickly and then let go of him. "Jono, finish cleaning up here," she told him. She stood up and bowed to Seth, "A thousand apologies Seth, I'll be back immediately with your food." She then dismissed herself to retrieve his food. Seth may be a hell raiser but she was their servant, she had to do as they commanded no matter what.

Even the commentary from the other royalty angered him. Well, the Pharaoh told Seth to calm down, that wasn't too bad. But Seth's stupid father sat there calling his mother names! Sure, he didn't know what 'wench' meant, but the way he said it..... it had to be a bad name. Jono continued picking up all the vegetables that fell to the ground, keeping his intense scowl pointed at the ground. If nobody else was around he would have surely already thrown a punch at Seth. Jono watched as Akila left the table. She wasn't nearly as bad to him as Seth was, she was too busy picking on Atem all the time. She never really paid any mind to him, yet.

Amme looked up from her plate at the Pharaoh. Before she said anything she looked at her caregiver, as if looking to see if it was ok to speak. She then looked back at him and replied, "I don't like eating animals...." By this time she had already finished her vegetables and was working on her bread. Amme didn't notice the commotion between Seth and Jono, she was too focused on the squab. But she looked up to notice it now. She didn't quite understand what was happening, why wasn't Jono eating with them? Why weren't the people standing behind them eating?

"It's meat dear, it's good for you," the caregiver said trying to get her to eat it.

She looked back at her caregiver and replied quietly, "But it's a dead animal....."

The only thing that broke Atem's pouting was the sound of someone coming in from his balcony window. He practically jumped out of his skin from the suddenness. He jumped up on his feet and gritted his teeth, "Akila!!!" He then saw something wonderful, food. A plate of food, right there on his bed. His scowl went away as he looked at it. Atem walked over to the plate and continued looking at it. "This is for me?" he questioned. Why was Akila being nice to him now? Especially when she could have gotten in trouble. He looked over at her, she was looking around his room, playing with some of his toys. He then asked, "What did you do to the food?" Of course he was leery, she was always finding new and 'creative' ways to pick and torment him. He knelt down and looked at the food carefully, "Did you put a spell on it or something?" He then looked up and thought for a moment, where was his kitten? He was so angry and upset about what happened before he didn't notice if his kitten, Miu, was even in his room. He got up and rushed over to one of his dressers and got on the ground to look underneath. This was Miu's favorite spot. And there she was! She was just a ball of kitten fluff right now, orange and brown. She mewed at Atem as he took her gently from underneath the dresser. Miu was a terrific kitten, she was gentle, happy, and playful. He held the little kitten in his arms and snuggled her slightly. Atem loved his kitten, his father gave her to him. Atsu had a kitten too, a darker brown version of his kitty. He walked up behind Akila and put the kitten down beside her. Miu mewed a few times when he let go of her but then walked up to Akila rubbing against her as she purred. Atem took his plate and sat on the bed with the plate on his lap. He starting eating it, too hungry to even worry about it anymore.

Amme looked over at Atsu when he said he didn't want to eat it either. She didn't have anything against other people eating animals, she just didn't like to. She didn't know anybody else who was like her when it came to this. However, she didn't realize that he did it thinking she would get in trouble. She then smiled when she heard she was getting more food that wasn't meat. She looked over at Atsu who gave her a smile- she returned it. Soon after, the two children received plates with vegetable, rice, and fruit off to the side.

Jono's mother hurried back with Seth's food and drink. The boy took it and began to eat. Jono had just finished cleaning up after Seth. She took her sleeve and wiped the rest of the liquid that spilled on Jono off of him, to the best she could.

When Jono finished cleaning he rushed to his mother's side. He glared intensely at the back of Seth's head- practically trying to burn a hole in his skull. He held back his anger and held back his tears. Not only that, but his stomach growled, he was oh so hungry. But he had to wait until they were all done eating. All of them. Once they were done the servants can have the extra, if there is any. At least in the palace they didn't have to fear going hungry- but they didn't eat nearly as much or as well as royalty did.

It was actually a little funny to Atem to see Akila irritated. He was going to ask her why but she beat him to the punch. Yea, that sounded like Akila. "Hey wait.... how did you get in here?" he asked just realizing that. She came in threw his balcony door, but how did she get on the balcony? He was shocked that she wanted to eat his food too. "Didn't you already eat?" he asked her confused, "if you eat too much you'll get fat." He only said that because she called him a messy eater, he wasn't messy and he hated being messy. None-the-less, he still let her pick from his plate without resistance. Although probably saying she would get fat wasn't a very bright idea. [[charming little prince >.>]]

"I am not a novice at magic Akila. In fact, I'm much more advance then any other child here. Including you, Akila," he said acting prideful and slightly snobbish. He didn't really know if he was better then Akila, but by default he was better then most children his age right? "And you're still not supposed to be using magic," he said. Atem always had to be in the right, so he always had to tell her the things that she did were not allowed. Not because he was worried about her or the heir, at least not anymore. Now it was to try and get her to stop and listen to him. Atem stopped for a moment and looked at her with strange eyes. She got him in trouble before, now she was letting him eat her dinner? This was rather.... nice, which was weird for such a thing to come from Akila. Before he could say anything she punched him in the shoulder. "Ow!!!" he shouted as he held his should. "You know you're not the only one that shouldn't be touched or hit! Nobody is supposed to hit me like that! I'm a prince after all!" he shouted at her. He stayed silent for a few minutes, rubbing his shoulder and top of his arm. He hopped off the bed with the plate and sat next to Akila again. He held the plate next to her so they could both eat again. "Yes you are, go on have some...." he said trying to be nice to her.

Amme finished up and her caregiver made her bow before leaving the table. She was about to walk away when Atsu caught up to her. She smiled at him and nodded her head happily, "Uh huh!" She then put her finger on her lips to think for a moment. "I-I just wanna do something before we do. Can you wait for me?" she asked. She was getting better at talking to Atsu, although she still stuttered from time to time. She then turned around and rushed out of the dinning hall. She made her way outside to the courtyard. Since she couldn't say goodnight to her parent's normally, she would wish them goodnight outside. She also had that small hope that they would be there. She slowed down to a walk as she held her little hands together. She looked up at the moon, it was so big from where she stood! Suddenly, she felt something hard and small hit the back of her head. She instantly brought her hands to her head and winced out loud. She quickly turned around to see what hit her.

There were a few kids behind Amme, most were holding stones in their hands. They had followed her outside, seeing she was alone. The one kid in the front pointed at her and yelled, "We don't want you here. You're dirt blood, a peasant, a worthless rat. And yet here you are wearing our clothes and eating our food. Actually, you won't even eat our food! As if it was beneath you!

"But...... I ..... just wanna...help...." Amme stuttered trying not to cry from the pain.

One child from the group automatically threw the rock right at her face after she spoke. Some followed but most waited for the lead kid to give the command. "You can help by going away dirt blood," he replied to her.

Finally everyone finished. But Jono and his mother weren't done yet, they had to clean up before they could eat. Once the table was clean though Jono rushed into the kitchen to get something for him and his mom to eat. He came back with two plates. Luckily, the squabs Atsu and Amme didn't eat were up for grabs. "Here mom!" Jono said happily as he handed her the plate. The two of them then walked to their rooms. Once there Jono plopped down on the ground and practically inhaled his food. He was starving! He then looked over to his mom, she looked very sad. "What's wrong mom?" he asked. Although he figured it had to have been because of Seth.

Jono's mother looked over and smiled softly. "Nothing is wrong my love," she said rubbing his head. She was upset though, also very worried about Jono. He had such a strong spirit in him. Which was good but not when he had to serve others. She passed her plate to him and said, "If you are hungry Jono, you can have some of my food."

Jono paused for a moment. He was hungry still, but he knew his mom had to eat. Suddenly, his eyes started to water. Jono then lunge toward his mother and hugged her, burying his face into her chest crying. "Mom! Let's just run away from here! Let's just leave!" he sobbed helplessly.

"Baby don't cry," she said stroking his head gently as she held him. "We can't leave Jono. How will we live in the streets with no money or no food? No home or no bed to sleep in?" she tried to explain to him.

"I'll protect you mom! I'll make sure we have all of that!" Jono tried to promise. His mother held him close until he calmed down.

"Akila you're impossible!" Atem said unable to take insult after insult from her. "If I beat you in a game with our magic you would only go crying to my father and get me in trouble," he scowled at her. Atem then smirked a little, he would show her! When she went to go pick up a piece of food Atem mumbled a magic lyric and snapped his fingers. The piece of found turned into a frog and hopped out of Akila's hand. Once it hit the floor it changed back into a piece of food, it was only an illusion. Atem laughed a little at her shock.

The other kids froze when they saw the prince. Some dropped their stones and ran off in fear. All the other kids who stayed dropped their stones as well but fell silent. The lead kid spoke up, "She's going to bring down the wrath of the gods! She's not one of us!" The child who spoke was slightly older then the prince. After he spoke up to the prince most of the other kids ran off in fear.

All Amme could do is try and protect herself against the stones. She then heard a familiar voice call out something. She looked up to see the stones about to come down bounce off. Atsu came running up to her and asked if she was alright. She shook her head and fell to her knees sobbing lightly.

Once Jono quieted down he looked back down at the plate his mother passed over to him. He couldn't take from his mom so he grabbed it and handed it back to him mom, "Mom I'm full, you eat!" He smiled at her so she wouldn't second guess her. "Can I play some more before bed?" he asked her. She nodded her head giving him a yes. And with that Jono ran out of the room and towards Atsu's room. He usually played with him for a little before bed. As he walked down the halls he saw Seth coming his way. UGH! Again!? Why won't he just disappear? He pretended not to see him even though he was practically straight in front of him.

Atem continued laughing. How did she like it? "Aw come on, it was just a little frog. It wasn't going to hurt you," he said as he calmed down from laughing. He did it to get back at her, but in a way he just wanted to have fun with her. Maybe she would lighten up and pick on him less. Deep down he wanted her to treat him nicely and for them to be friends. And sometimes he felt that they were capable of doing that. And then other times he believe that it was impossible and that Akila was simply a little monster.

Atsu was lucky he was a prince, otherwise the other children would have never listened to him. The lead boy turned but pointed at them again, "Wrath of the gods, just remember that!" He turned around with the few that remained and walked away.

Amme kept her head down low as the two boys went back and forth. She thought she was a good person. She was brought here because she was a blessing right? That other kid made it sound like she was something bad and evil. Was she? Atsu didn't think so. The tears dripped down from her face.

Jono scowled at Seth even though he said hello to him. Jono then gritted his teeth and growled "Shut up Seth! I know that you did all of that on purpose tonight!" They were alone now, Jono wasn't responsible for anything Seth will say to set him off.

Atem raised an eyebrow at her. She always said he had better toys then her but he really didn't see a difference between them. In fact, she seemed to have better toys then him but he really didn't care all that much. He took the second part of her comment as an insult. It actually made him jealous. He was the prodigy child, he was going to be King- a god in some people's eyes. Atem wasn't as outwardly spoiled as Akila was, but he did love the attention and praise of others. Sharing it with Akila bugged him. He didn't mind sharing it with Atsu, that was his brother and he didn't act like Akila did. "I'm more important, you're just more fragile," Atem said trying to fix her statement. Now that he thought about it, he wondered how Atsu's day was. Even though he made his twin take his place from time to time, he still loved and cared about his brother. "I wonder what Atsu is doing....." he mumbled to himself as he pet Miu as she walked by.

Amme wrapped her arms around Atsu. "I want my mom....." she cried out lowly and right after Atsu had just wiped her tears away they were back. After a few moments Amme calmed down enough. She then said softly, "Thank you, Atsu." She didn't know what she would have done if he didn't help her out. She was really grateful that he was her friend.

"I don't want to be your servant! I'm going to run away before that ever happens. Then you'll just have to find someone else to do your stuff, or WORSE, do it yourself!" Jonouchi yelled back at Seth. Jono stomped his feet immaturely at the last part. Seth thinks he can control him, he's dead wrong.

[[GRRRR!!! My computer screen finally died on me today. I'm at my bf's house. I'm getting another one tomorrow or Tuesday. So yea, if I disappear you know why XD]]

"Why should I be grateful I serve you? You're nothing but a big brat!" Jono said with his fist in front of him. He then crossed his arms and added, "You depend on the grown ups, you couldn't beat me in a real fight!" He hated that Seth was right though, Jono wouldn't leave because of his mother. Unless he could convince her to leave with him- which seemed unlikely.

"Well fine then, have my brother or your own brother. I'll just marry a prettier and nicer wife," Atem said getting frustrated. There she went again, saying he wasn't anything special. Why couldn't she be like everyone else and realize his potential? He had to be special, everyone else said he was. He tried to play it off as if he didn't care, but at this age it was hard to do so. He then turned back at her and said, "But you'll still give me a child! After that I don't care!" Atem then spun around on his bottom and faced the other way. He curled up silently pouting- putting his head in his arms and knees. The one person he was supposed to be with had to be the person that did not respect him nor thought the world of him. Just the opposite, he was pretty sure she disliked him greatly. Or perhaps just enjoyed making his life miserable.

Amme pulled away gently to look at him. She wiped the tears away from her eyes and cheeks. "You think I'm amazing?" she questioned. She looked away for a moment taking notice of something, "What did you do before? How did you do it?" She was curious, she had never seen magic before other then her healing which she didn't know was magic until her parents and other adults said it was.

"Best at being a jerk!" Jono replied back immaturely. Jono took Seth's invitation to fight eagerly as he got into his own stance and growled at him. Stupid Seth, he didn't even want to be friend's with him, he just wanted to beat him up! The way he treated his mom and said those things were unforgivable! Jono rushed toward Seth and tried to punch him in the face.

Atem spun back around to look at Akila again. "Yes I am Akila! I'm going to be a great Pharaoh!" he shouted at her. He got up on his knees to meet her face to face. He hated when she said that! She had no confidence in him! He could have just blown it off but he couldn't. Deep down, he wanted Akila's awe for him. He wanted her approval and friendship. He was too young for love now. "Well I don't think you're going to be a good wife! And that's the only thing you ever have to do in your life!" he insulted her.

Amme smiled- it was like a big boost of confidence. She's recently been told that she possesses something great but those last insults from those kids really dropped her confidence. "You mean like magic? I've never seen magic before. That was amazing!" she said happily now. Atsu really did make her feel happy, she seemed to already forget about what happened. "What else can you do?" she asked him very interested now.
