I found out about MCR three months after I discovered Avenged Sevenfold. It was the summer of '07 and six months after my father passed away. I was a depressed mess that nobody noticed, even my friends at the time. I didn't really see the point in being happy with out my Dad, and then I saw the I'm Not Okay video on Youtube. That was the song that really made me think about a song's lyrical meaning, not just if it sounds good. A7X's and MCR's music helped through the toughest time in my life, and with out them, I don't even know what would have happened to me.

It's great that their music had such a positive effect on your life and helped you through that. You're a really strong person. <3

Long story short - when I was a kid I only listened to either a) my parents' music (mostly classic rock) or b) blink-182 and Less Than Jake. I used to go to my grandma's place after school and she had a music channel on tv, MusiquePlus. One time I was watching the music videos and found out about Green Day. I fell in love, and started religiously watching that channel from then on. At some point, the video for 'Helena' came up. I thought the visuals were GREAT (I'm a film geek, whatevs yo) so I checked out the band. And yeah, that's pretty much how it happened.

Helena was my first vid too. i was in this depreesed state, obsessed with pain and what not...i thought he wore the pain on his face well.(i know ive already said that beore, but oh well). I was thinking bout suicide and such... they saved my life. The lyrics taught me that even though life isnt great now, it still has potential... not only the lyrics showed that, but their lives showed that. Now my dream is to become a bassist in a band a bit like MCR... maybe i can help kids lke me, ya know?

I discovered MCR round the time I was learning how to play guitar hero. (Which was about when I was in 5th or 6th grade.) I played a song called Prayer of the Refugee by Rise Against and I fell in love with that song. I told my bro about that song. "If you like that song, here is a couple of other bands you might like." he said. Then he downloaded some songs onto my mp3 player. He download a lot of songs on my mp3; one of the bands was MCR. At first, I didn;t like it, but after awhile it grew on me. <3
I just love how I can relate to the songs. Whenever my life goes out of control, i listen to MCR and it feels like my problems go away.
Thank God for My Chemical Romance! whee

Well....I was on this site called Mibba, and I was looking at a bunch of different profiles. On more than half of them, I saw tons of MCR related things. Lists, pics, lyrics, ya know. Eventually, I just sort of snapped and looked them up on Youtube. I fell in love that day XD And then I listened to 'Teenagers' and I was hooked even more, because that song really brought back memories for me, and I didn't know it was by them. I was also sort of...how should I put this...'musically lost' because up until then, I had no favorite band. I tried to get myself hooked on Tokio Hotel (their fans are EVERYWHERE) but it just didn't work out. So...thats about it razz

Well, actually , a friend told me about MCR and there is something on Fuse called the Chronicles and I recorded and watched it. The first song I ever herd was Vampires Will Never Hurt You and I hated it, but then I herd I'm Not Okay I Promise and I loved it. Then I herd Helena, and then Welcome to the Black Parade, and then, last but not least, Famous Last Words.
