Kai listened with closed eyes to Blade's words.

It'd be so nice to just fall asleep right now...

But at the word assassination, one cold, grey-blue eye opened to look at him. "Assassination attempt? On who? By who?" His orginial vagueness left her little hope that he had an answer to those question, but with her long-standing loyalty to the Republic, despite time passed, she had to ask. She had been a first lieutenant.. until she'd gone missing. Though she still wasn't sure exactly how much time had passed. A year had gone by in her time, but what about here? Maybe it was the same.

She hoped not.

Being MIA for a year generally wasn't a good thing, not in the military, and definitly not for a ranking officer. She sighed, though to the others the sigh went more along with the thought of someone getting killed than with her mental dilemma.

"Yes.. it's my.. team-er- friend's zoid." Though he certainly looks different now, Kai noted as Marcia helped her to sit up. "A gunsniper, more or less.." She added belatedly at the rogue girl's question.

Meanwhile, Edge shifted his head to look upwards the the gunsniper, his head tilting in a most serpentine-like way. His hissing growls became more conversation-like, though they still seemed angry, no matter his intentions, to any listening in to the draconic noises.

His words, though, continued to Blaze. Jager was destroyed by what holds your human. Mine and myself tried to get to Nick, but it was.. unexpectedly undamagable. We managed to crack its armor once, but that is all. Your human saved us from being destroyed as Jager was. He kept his words carefully vague in caution to not betray the true danger of the situation to the zoids and organoid who may have methods of listening in, though he tried to keep the link as singularly as possible to Blaze.

I was called there. He said after a pause, looking down at Kai with a simple tilt of his head, then back to the gunsniper, Where is Kagi? And this other human your human called 'Titus'? Mine is not.. well.. but it is of urgency that we find them... His ancient, exhausted voice trailed off.

As Marcia seemed to suggest that he'd be bringing Kai back to the Republic territories, Blade raised an eyebrow but didn't object. If needed, he could provide a ride, though it wouldn't really be all that comfortable for himself or for the wounded pilot. That aside, he

Maelthra calmed down with his growling as the sniper reassured that he meant them no harm. For now, he didn't entirely care for the red zoid's presence.. most likely because it had seemingly snuck up on them and all. Jagati, on the other hand, nodded to the Beserk Sniper's words. What the Saix didn't like all too much was the whispering between him and the black organoid. What did they need to keep so secretive that the rest couldn't hear?

"It was either the President or the General. As for who did it... I don't know anything about that. I'm not really sure what groups out there are out for Republican blood," he told Kai before looking back up at the red Zoid. The sniper definitely did not seem all too happy right now, and the organoid's growls didn't seem to be much better in that regard.

"There wasn't much information released but since.." she paused "I;d heard the imperial general passed away at the exact same time as the assassination attempt on the general and the strange attack on the encampment of rogues...." her voice trailed off "I don't think it was perhaps someone from the unknown faction..." ever since the zombie attack she'd been trying to find information on who or what caused the attack.

Marcia nodded quietly "It has... a few qualities of a gun sniper still." Marcia noted. But it still looked entirely like something else. Her friend's zoid. Was her friend inside? If she was she'd have come out by now. The zoid was moving on it's own much like Catastrophe could.

It seemed as though the Organoid and the Gun sniper were having a conversation judging by the growls and hisses. Either way it didn't seem as though the Gunsniper meant any harm.

Catastrophe's growling quieted though a low growl still emanated from the zoid. Why where there so many zoids around?

Blaze's 'ears' perked forward. So they had already run into Nick? That would explain their ware and tear.

-Though it is important that you four meet, it is of more importance that you let your pilot rest. Humans are not as durable as we are. They need special care. This little one is worn.- He tilted his head toward Kai with a growl.

-I can carry you back to where you must go and we will talk than. But I will not linger long. I promised my human I would protect the other little one and the stupid one.- There were too many ZOIDs here for Blaze to explain the situation. It was... not something that should get around to those that are not trusted. Blaze kept his words between him and the organoid.

-When I was in the process of being revived her memories were revealed to me. Somethings you should know black one. Nick... Titus.. Riot... Kai... there is something going on that you can feel in your core black one. It is happening. - Since his change he was able to feel it as well.

Edge didn't have much patience- he never had. At Blaze's words, the black dragon-like organoid quieted for a long time. The sudden silence from him was a little unnerving, since he usually always had something to growl about in the presence of others.

Cold blue eyes stared at his human for a very long time- or at least what felt like a very long time. To him, time seemed to go by a little bit differently. The organoid was motionless, as if frozen in his own time.

... I have. The organoid stated very quietly, carefully. I kept taking her back to that place, but I could not recall for what reason. And I have felt the same about Nick. Everything just feels.. locked. It is like there is a compartment in my memory which I cannot access. It is so... frustrating. With his last word he erupted in a roar, snarling at the sky. But it was short-lived, as he turned his head back to Blaze, swiveling draconically. I have not met the other two humans you have mentioned. But.. as you say.. I am sure it will come.

Edge didn't want to have to wait, to let Kai recooperate. But she was becoming more necessary. Dragging her limp, exhaustion-drunken self around wasn't going to accomplish much.

I appreciate the offer. I see it taking a very extended amount of time to return to the proper political boarders walking. There was a sort of rare amusement in his mentally-projected voice as he scoffed at this.

Kai sat, now more than half-asleep, barely able to pay attention to either Marcia or Blade as they spoke to her. Blaze's arrival was like a light switch- all-is-good-mental-shutdown. At first her lips moved into the most awkward, goofy grin that by far didn't match the grumpy, stand-offish personality she displayed a few moments ago. Mumbling took place in heed of words for a good length of time until she partially realized her lack of words.

Last time she was awake, there were a few groups out for certain republican blood, which was enough concern to make her reply: "The imperial general died too? By natural causes or homicide?" The weirdly silly-sounding words inquired.

The black organoid reached down roughly and grabbed Kai by back of her collar and picked her up- looking more or less like a mother dog picking up a very listless puppy. He didn't really seem concerned about her injuries- he knew their significance was slim. They'd leave scars, but she'd be fine. And she was too exhausted to feel that much pain.

We appreciate your help. Edge spoke openly suddenly, speaking to the organoid within Catastrophe, and Blade's two companions. Appreciation didn't come lightly, one could note by his generally unfriendly and often wicked personality.

"Oh so that's what happened? That would explain some of the tension. Maybe they think one of us had to do with that..." he murmured before looking towards Marcia as she mentioned the attack on the camp, "Ah yeah, how could I forget... with all the freaky black fog and undead army coming down on everyone there."

Blade thought on the matter briefly, but the three incidents had to have been tied one way or another. Or else they would all be one heck of a coincidence. It might have to do with the group Marcia had mentioned, but he knew very little of what she was talking about. Considering what it was called, it probably wasn't likely anyone really knew much about it.

"The Unknown faction?"

Both Maelthra and Jagati looked towards the black organoid as the whispering stopped and he thanked them, more or less. The Lightning Saix gave a light nod of sorts, while the MRZ basically wagged his tail. Though, the former soon spoke up, having noticed that the Republican Pilot had been lifted up by the organoid.

Is there anything else we, or our humans, can do for you? Jagati asked.

Marcia gave a grave nod "The empire is being very close minded about this looking for someone to blame," Marcia glanced back down at Kai, she seemed to have started dozing off. Blaze's arrival seemed to have relaxed the girl immensely. Though a little too much, she wasn't sure if the girl was even aware of what she was really doing at least not completely.

Marcia let the organoid pick up it's partner as she finished tending to the burns. That black organoid seemed to be acting quite rough considering the state she was in. Marcia sighed before looking back to blade. "Yes, unfortunately, there have been rumors of another sect forming or having been formed and just coming to the surface now...." Marcia honestly hadn't been able to find much out about the new group.

You're welcome... Came Agumo's reply in Catastrophe's deep growling voice.

"Sitting here is most disadvantageous The bright light the comet would have create will continue drawing people to this spot. We should get moving..." Marcia sighed. The girl couldn't rest.. Quite yet.

Blaze lowered his head further to the ground. The canopy opened with a hiss revealing the empty cockpit and several wires, much like the ones edge or any ancient organoid used. The sight was unnatural... That function was something ZOIDs didn't have. The Jury was the only other ZOID with this odd ability. (and that is something that only Titus and Kai have seen and would know. )

The wires moved to wrap around the exhausted pilot gently than pull her into the dark cockpit.

-It locks it from everyone but that which she chose first after resurrection.- Blaze lowered his head further to lessen the need to lift Kai any higher. -You have my permission to fuse with my core black one... while your little one rests we will talk more. But I warn you, because of what those three have done my core is... greedy. Don't waist energy trying to control me, you will be absorbed. Kagi is the only one who knows how to tame it fully now.-

Blaze was obviously irritated by that statement. The three had done something when they fused together to transform him. He could feel it, the change, but did not know everything about it. Kagi had not told him what it was yet... Blaze had taken off too soon for him to explain in any case.

Blaze's invite to the black organoid was in hopes that what he felt Edge could read, and use the information to further aid his memory. Something was locked in his core. It was something she left. Nick's memories were there as well... but those were not as tightly locked away as the other.

"Enough..." Riot sighed let his eyes roll hearing Ebony's excessive nagging, as his blue gaze glanced to the screen that he had previously so closely watched.

-No this in not enough! I have every right to disown you as so called pilot!- Ebony's front hove rose and dropped with emotion. -Ungrateful.- She hissed and pounded her hove again. -disloyal.- Her hove rose and pounded the earth again. -Selfish king of desires! After everything I have done for you, you repay me with this insolence. -

Roit's eyes focused on the screen for the most part ignoring the banter that he was getting from his partner. though it was a little difficult to the intrepid hissing in the back of his mind. Every time....this happened every time.

"You know, their is no 'guideline' that says I have to stay to one zoid. Ebony-you know I am a busy man." Riot spoke looking up to the Zoid's cockpit canape
"ptth!" Came loudly from the horse like zoid.

-GUIDELINE?! GUIDELINE, Rudolf?! There shouldn't have to be one!- The black mare reminded him harshly. She let out a loud rear.

-Ivroy wouldn't put up with such nonsense.- The Zoid hissed in his mind.

"Oh bring up your brother..." Riot raised a hand in a shrug.

-I am a Thoroughbred, and deserve to be treated as such. Your Gallivanting must came to a end! do I make my self clear, Whitebane?!-
Ebony demanded.

As gun sniper's pit had opened, Riot's eyes widened-it was like no pit he had ever seen.

"Shuush-" Riot spoke throwing a hand to the side as if the woman was right beside him. He was taken by the sight and wanted to concentrate.

The gunsniper...it was so strange and it pit-it was taking the down pilot in. How could-

Ebony's head sharply tucked to it's self at the quick unexpected 'demand'. It was unexpected...and it was insulting to her. The quick movement could be felt in the pit where Riot sat. Her front hove rose.

-how dare, you...- Came darkly from the mare.

Edge visibly hesitated when he saw the wires within Blaze's cockpit. They bit at the fresh mental wounds their last battle had laid on his memory. His whirling blue-tinted eyes looked down at Kai, then back at Blaze. However, as the wires wrapped around the now-unconcious pilot, his wicked jaws released her into Blaze's grip. It bothered him- like it should.

I will remember that. He noted to the zoid lingering in the likeness of a GunSniper.

The black dragon dipped his head as if nodding. Marcia and Blade's words fell to sleeping ears, though Kai's sleep was more like a coma with its troubled depths. However, their words were retained by the organoid himself, his focus falling cooly- almost coldly- upon the pilots. He would need to remember those bits of information to tell Kai later.

Undead army? Black fog? That was far more significant than he believed these pilots knew.

There is nothing He replied to Jagati. There is much that we must attend to, and this zoid knows where we must go. Be cautious. Your destruction will come easily if you stray in the wrong direction. Was Edge's warning to not only Blade's group, but Agumo as well. There was a dire seriousness the he pressed on them, though he would release no further information.

A sudden blue light encapsulated the draconic organoid, and his broad dragon-like wings unfurled from the metallic bars of his back. He lept into the sky in the same rocket of blue-white light that he'd crashed in, and fell with the same mass of condensed power into the GunSniper to merge with its core.

The feeling of Blaze's core shocked Edge at first, as his initial reaction was to claim some hold on it. However, he withdrew immediately, sent into a spiral of a sudden memory....

....Binding with a zoid- a strange but familiar one. It locked him in, refused to let him release. The zoid core burned at his own core, stealing his energy, feeding from his strength. It weakened him, stole his individuality, silenced him. The wickedness laughed. It laughed at him. A haunting, savage laughter....

The memory was equally available to Blaze, though the visual image was heavily distorted. However, just as quickly as it began, a black door 'slammed' shut, re-guarding the memory as if it was forbidden.

He was about to comment on it, until a presence- suddenly noticable after his merge with the gunsniper- caught his attention. Ebony felt oddly familiar. So much so, that he couldn't simply overlook the zoid as he did most others. Who is that?

Seeing the cockpit of the gunsniper open, Blade's eyes widened as he noticed the wires pulling the fallen pilot in. That wasn't exactly a normal sight, and it was a little eerie in the way it all looked. If it weren't already established that the Gunsniper meant Kai no harm, he probably would have thought something bad was about to happen here.

Very well, thank you for the warning, replied the Saix. It made sense really. Whatever had caused the fallen pilot's zoid to be destroyed, it had to be somewhere in the uncharted lands. It wouldn't be good for their health to run into it most likely.

Once the organoid fuzed with the red zoid, Blade glanced momentarily to Marcia, then back. It seemed that the situation here was resolved, but he wasn't sure if it would be a good time to leave just yet.
PostPosted: Thu Jan 14, 2010 10:59 pm

Thank you came the little organoid's reply We will be careful, you too take care.

A low defensive growl came from Catastrophe as the other pilot was pulled away by the wires. He didn't like the looks of them but he couldn't quite figure out why. He lowered his head

"Something must be moving." Marcia muttered under her breath still watching the red zoid as the black one fused with it. But one thing was becoming very certain, they shouldn't stay here for too long. Whatever destroyed the girls zoid could very well be on it's way to finish what it started...

Marcia glanced back at Blade "We shouldn't stay here..." She just had to trust that red zoid to get the girl to safety along with her black companion. They most certainly did it seemed.

Catastrophe opening the cockpit for it's pilot, though reveling to blade there was no one piloting the massive zoid. Catastrophe wanted to find this dangerous zoid, it would be a challenge and something worth destroying.

But Agumo insisted he not and he would most likely be the one torn to pieces instead, constantly referring to Edge's warning and using pulses to keep the zoid from running off on it's own.

Marcia leaped into the cockpit tossing the bad she had beside her into a back corner as she landed in the chair. She didn't bother waiting for a reply from Blade before the cockpit started closing. He should get in his own zoid, at lest that thing had the advantage of speed to whatever it was that was out there. Marcia on the other hand did not she'd have to be much more careful the next time she ventured here...

Blaze roared once the Organoid was fused into his core. He could feel the core trying to completely absorb the power Edge had and change his appearance once more to reflect this power. It took a moment, but he was able to help repress this urge without a change in form.

Steam poured from his mouth as he looked up and deeper into the area. He knew where the Iron Judge was... He could feel it. Nick was far off and inactive at the moment. But the abomination, The Jury, was always active, always hunting and always alert.

Blaze's eyes glowed before his form vanished once more. The only clue the pilots had that he had speed off was a loud noise and the dust he kicked up as he speed off. He had no time to chat with anyone, he had a promise to keep to his pilot and he needed to get this pilot somewhere. Perhaps... yes, it would be better if they went back to Titus and Kagi. This matter was urgent.
PostPosted: Mon Feb 22, 2010 1:30 pm

Kai shifted uneasily as if rising from the unconciousness her exhaustion had finally put her into. But the semi-coma wasn't to end, not yet. And that was probably a good thing. The sight of the wires in Blaze's cockpit might have sent her into a sort of shell-shock, after having such a recent encounter with the Jury. The girl, garbed in bloodied and tattered clothing, groaned, and muttered something unintelligable, then fell limp and silent once more in Blaze's pilot seat.

She wouldn't move throughout the trip, and perhaps even awhile after.

Edge, melded to Blaze's core, remained just detached enough that he could recoil slightly from that feeling of absorbtion should it spike during the trip. However, he trusted the transformed GunSniper- a noticably rare occurance- and his active defenses were minimal compared to what they could be.

With a quick glance in Marcia's direction, the thief nodded and headed on into the Saix's cockpit. The organoid and the gunsniper like Zoid seemed to be in somewhat of an urgent state. In any case it probably wouldn't be good for them to stick around long anyway.

Once seated, he heard a low growl come from the outside and soon realized it belonged to Maelthra. It seemed that the MRZ didn't really want to run along side this time around.

"Alright.. hop on in. Just watch where you put your fee--gaack!"

Before he could finish, the little zoid had leaped into the cockpit. Unfortunately for the pilot, the part about minding where his feet went didn't quite catch on with the MRZ. Seeing the guy practically doubled over in the cockpit and groaning, Maelthra tilted his head and let out an apologetic whine of sorts.

"D-don't..worry a-about it..." he managed to wince out as the cockpit came to a close. It was fairly cramped in there... but he'll make due.
