Digital Malevolence My Hollow Digital Malevolence Ireland is a great place to vist. talk2hand and I love lamb and potatoes. I really love potatoes.....and lamb is some of the most tender meats, and its really delicious, especially if its cooked with some garlic. You havent been to Ireland. I have. It is NOT a great place to visit. Go to Scotland, vastly superior in every way. I'd like to see both places, then we'll see. ninja And I blame the English for screwing up Ireland. mad Yeah, stupid English!

Ireland sucked before the English.
The people are unfriendly and unkind. The "Emerald Isle" is not very green. Scotland is WAYYYYYYYY more lush. The historical significance is meh at best. Food just sucks. I like potatoes as much as the next person, but everything comes out bland. It's not impressive. It's a waste of time. I am Irish and I was really excited to go, I was really expecting it to be a lot of fun. It wasn't. Nothing bad happens, just as a whole Ireland isn't that great.
Scotland is just vastly superior.

To be honest though. Ireland never was that great of place, its why(well, a small part of the reason) why everyone left for America and almost no one returned back when the s**t was over.
But Irish people are way more awesome than Scottish people. talk2hand

I've met a lot of Irish people that were visiting from Ireland, and they weren't unkind. I could see them being unkind if you are visiting, looking like a tourist with your pamphlet out and camera and such. I don't know, I seem to get a long with most people from everywhere. I can't agree or disagree with any of this yet though, until I experience it first hand.

You could just pay them in grass, which might decrease salary expenses enough to actually make Amtrak a profitable enterprise...
I think you may be on to something.

I think you may be on to something. In all seriousness though, the reason your train system and my train system sucks the ******** d**k, is that they ARE in fact enterprises privately owned. Well I don't know about yours, but it probably is since America is full of s**t as far as everything socioeconomic goes. smile
