"I could've gotten into Crystal on merit if it hadn't been for my parents anyways." She huffed, her own hurt showing just a bit (but only for the briefest of seconds). There was always her piano lessons, right? She was a good enough player that she could've gotten into Crystal on scholarship even if her father hadn't been determined to send her there no matter what it took. So what if he'd bought her way in and her mother had agreed to it? It didn't make her any less talented, did it?
"Everyone knows that Hillworth boys are nothing but trouble. Do you have any idea what it could do for my reputation to be seen anywhere near yo--" The tirade would have continued were it not for the 'kicked puppy' look on 'Demy's' face. Something about it just pulled at her heart, making her feel almost bad for giving him crap.
"Hey... Are you hungry or anything? I was going to go find something to eat after I finished shopping. Maybe if we go somewhere that no one in Crystal would be caught dead in? Greasy pizza sound good to you?"

"Oh fine. Hillworth boys are nothing but trouble -unless- you want someone to eat pizza with hrm?" Though, the frown was turning into a smile. Pizza huh? Eh, it was better than moping about what school he had found himself shoved into.
"Pizza, right. I'd love to go have lunch with you. You know what? I'll even carry your bags around. Then you can convince all your little friends that the poor little Hillworth boy was just trying to redeem himself by being a bagboy, kay?" Still smiling! Really he wouldn't have a problem with it if she really did want him to carry her bags. He was getting pizza afterall.

"Bags?" It was her turn to have eyes light up and Demy's turn to wonder whether or not that was a good thing. 'Bags' meant that there would be more shopping. Lots more shopping.
"Alright. We'll call it community service or something if anyone asks." She smirked, giving him a light nudge. "Just let me go try these things on and then we'll do some more shopping and then we'll go get pizza. Maybe if you're lucky the jeans won't fit me and you can take them home with you anyways." Her smirk turned into an obviously delighted grin as she turned towards the dressing room with a spring in her step. Maybe today would wind up being better than she'd thought.

...Oh boy, maybe that -was- the wrong thing to say. But it had definitely turned the mood a lot lighter, and he was pretty sure he could put up with whatever amount of bags this woman could come up with. Clearly he hadn't been shopping with Cordelia before.
He had smirked at the nudge, resisting the urge to quickly return it with one of his own. Right, accidentally knocking Cordelia over or something was not the way to keep the mood friendly. "Alright, I'll be out here..as long as you don't try to ditch me." Because so help him god he'd chase her through this entire mall just to spite her.
As Cordelia ran off to the dressing room, he simple milled around nearby to wait for her. Right, obedient 'bag-boy' waiting for his shopper to return. And pizza later. Today wouldn't be bad at all.
