Aylana didn't understand what was happening, until he kissed her that it. Any normal person would have smacked Arkie for this, but then Fa'e weren't normal were they? Not to mention he was to close for her to push away at the moment.
Slipping her arms up around his neck, she pulls back from the kiss as she chuckles alittle "Not the answer I had in mind, but it works." running a finger carefully along his neck, she arches a brow.
"So what brought that about?"

At this, a brow arched "I gotta have a reason?" he asked, even as he leaned into the touch. Because he didn't. Hell, they barely knew each other, so it was hard to have a reason for why they were the way they were now.
....and it was equally hard, he found, to ignore the deep-seated stirring of unease in his stomach that had not been there a minute ago. Too much canned ravioli lately, he decided.
For the moment, however, it was little more than an irritating backdrop for other, more pressing demands.

With a light chuckle, her fingers still continue to run along his head. Shaking her head, Aylana smiles at him "No I suppose not, just that was kindof out of no where." leaning in she brush her lips against his again, before pulling back.
"And I would rather not walk down the path of sex for awhile. Its gotten me into alot of trouble. And thanks to sex, its hurt me alot to." was it sex, or love. To her, they pretty much were the same at the moment. Either way, she got hurt.
And she wouldn't allow it anymore. She couldn't.

It was just as well.
Even as her lips touched his again, the discomfort spiked itself suddenly into something that made him wince and cringe away. It was not just an uneasy roil in his stomach as it felt like...
Well, it reminded him of being bitten in half.
.....by something with a long neck and a maw of sharp teeth.
As any warm, excited, thoughts of trying to sway Lana's decision in his favor abruptly deflated from his mind, there was the undeniable feeling that someone was watching the outcome of this situation with satisfaction.
"Yeah." he muttered, rubbing at the already-diminishing phantom pains in his midsection distractedly. "Yeah, okay."

Pulling away from Arkie, Aylana brush her hands over the back of her jeans as she turns away from him. Reaching for another beer, she close the fridge as she nods "So are you still interested in working at the bar? Once its open that is?" change the subject, that is what this moment needed.
Popping her beer open, she takes a quick sip from it before licking her bottom lip "I'll be the one training you. Nyoka does know alot, but I think she will be busy handling the money issues. And I promise to make it fun." with a smile, she once again leans against the counter.
Her side brushing against his for a brief moment.

It took a minute for him to get his bearings back from the discomfort in his body and mind, before he jumped, perhaps too eagerly, on the presented topic of conversation.
"Sure, I'm still interested!" he assured. Right now, in light of everything else, the idea of working with booze and being somewhere too loud and raucous to pay attention to what was going on in his head seemed more appealing than ever.
Also, it meant Ma wouldn't be able to make him do chores anymore. He'd have a JOB.
