Zyane watched him as he worked on the spell an eyebrow lifting at the question of weither or not he should socialize.
"Locking yourself away in a room and studying wouldn't be advisary. Having magical skill is something that should be honed yes...but isolating yourself isn't the best method of working at it. It should be practiced a bit at a time. Besides...meeting people and discussing perhaps idea's you have can help you achieve things when you hit road blocks." He explained, not liking the idea of the boy learning for the sake of power. Course...he was one to talk. That was how he lost his wife and daughter...by focusing too much on work.
"You will end up only hurting others.." HE stated with a nod of his head.

There was a sound of relief from the owl, as though a bit of worry and guilt was alleviated, "That is good, I... enjoy taking care of my little sister, and being able to visit with friends, and going flying with Vorel." He said, eyes narrowing with concentration as he watched the way the snowflakes started to appear and knit together to make the snow ball. It almost seemed as if they were created one by one before they started slowly to appear at a quicker pace.
"Oh... this is kinda pretty." He murmured, leaning in closer to get a better look at what it looked like close up. He lifted his hands up to hold the snow ball out to the teacher to see if it were alright. It was a little lope sided and not as large as the ice ball he could summon but it was a first try.

He nodded his head in approval, glad that the boy enjoyed getting out and talking to others.
"It certianly is a good first attempt." He agreed as he chuckeled before shivering again.
"Perhaps I should lend you my cyrstal, the power in it will wane after a couple of days but if you wish to practice summoning the snow at home you are more than welcome to it." He offered as he reached out to take the crystal from the air.

"T-Thank you." He said, looking at the ball... and oddly he almost wished Chath were present, having the itch in his hands to throw it after the new. he gave a little smile before he gave it a toss to let it land among the rest of the snow that was laying about on the ground.
Ligeia gave a gasping sound, "Oh! No... no I couldn't take something so important." He said, looking over at the pretty yet powerful crystal that the teacher was holding. He didn't think he could accept something like that, even if he were just borrowing it the crystal seemed to be something special and he would worry about it getting broken while it was in his care even if he did his very best to take good care of it.

Thaddeus laughed, a reboust sound that ended up with his coughing due to the sudden intake of chilled air. After a bit of the hacking he composed himself and shook his head pressing the cyrstal into his hand.
"No no I insist. I can make others." He assured the boy as he withdrew his hand and then shivered again.
"Keep at it lad, you will get the hang of it, feel free to drop by my classroom anytime you have questions." He encouraged.

Ligeia looked a little worried as the teacher coughed and that led to him being a little distracted as the man put the crystal into his hand after he'd composed himself, "If... if your certain." He murmured, looking down at the pretty crystal and he held it to his chest in a protective manner, "I will be really careful with it. I promise."
He lowered his hands so that he could gaze at the sphere once more before he looked up at the teacher, "Ahh, yes. I will try to think ahead more the next time I come." He told the teacher, wanting to have a better plan when he next came to have another class with Zyane.

He only gave a chuckle as he dismissed his student with a wave.
"Live and learn yes?" He stated with a laugh before he rubbed his poor frozen hands together.
"Now I think I am going to get myself some hot chocolate. Unless you had any other questions?"

He gave a shake of his head, "I think I am alright for the moment, please go and warm up." He said, concern showing in his voice before he turned to motion to Vorel, "Come on Vorel, lets get going shall we?" He was all for a nap right now... so sleepy he thought to himself, giving a little yawn as he headed out of the classroom with Vorel at his side.
