"I think..." he said slowly, gathering his thoughts, "that I want to find some one," he finally said. "I want to find some one who needs me. Who I can help, who would appreciate me. Some one I can be with. Maybe some one I can love. I didn't like the parents telling me what to do thing, but loneliness does not appeal, maybe... partnership? Some one I can help...but who will also help me too sometimes? Or...is that wishing for too much?" he asked her.

"It is a place to start," Korina murmured, the wheels turning quickly. He wanted someone to help, huh? Well, she could give him that easily enough. And it would be a simple matter to pretend like she depended on him. But it would take careful planning, and a slow build up. Anything too quick and he might be suspicious.

"I..." he stopped. "Does that matter?" he asked, more of himself then of her. "Well, if it is some one to help, that I would come to love as a friend or a sibling it doesn't....but.... Well... Maybe..." he shook his head. This was about him making choices. Some one was finally letting him choose, he was going to choose. He was not going to be wishy washy. "Female," he said firmly. and then... "please." Hey, it was something!

"Female," she repeated with a pleased smile. "Alright. That narrows it down. And what you described sounded to me as though you were hoping for a mate. One to care for and to be loved by, not as a friend or sibling, but as a lover. Was I mistaken?"

He blinked rapidly. "That... was not what I had meant...but... that would be nice," he said, nodding. "Then they would always need me, and I them. An eternal partnership. We would grow stronger together. Yeah, I think I like that. You're brilliant."
