Well, if you're reading or watching yaoi/yuri, then, yes, I suppose it could be considered hentai.

O-oI dunno. I just assumed that Echi was another term for pervert, sort of like hentai. Of course, hentai can refer to porn, too, so maybe echi is the same way. Ahh, isn't that great? A term to refer to both porn, and the people who look at it... too bad we can't do that in English. I think I'm going to start calling perverts "porns" now. "Look at that guy! He's such a porn!" ...I need to go to bed.
