Thanos thought it odd that she was so against her memories. Obviously something about them was upsetting to her and while he wanted to ask he just couldn't bring himself to do so for some reason. And surely such a mare did not belong in Hell. While he would have argued with her that Hell was no place to be, even if one deserved to go there, he didn't want to bring it up. No, but perhaps if she insisted he would tell her about the horrors of Hell...or at least what he remembered of them.
By now they had walked a good distance into the tree and the sun hung low in the sky. Slowly it began to dip under the horizon casting it's last rays of light on the world. Well there was no point in going on now, he glanced at Regret and while she didn't complain about anything she did look cold and tired. This was the perfect opportunity to rest. He walked a bit further to a place where the trees were thick to block out any wind. He pawed at some underbrush pushing it down to make a sort of bed to lay on. Then returned his gaze to Regret. "We are at the border of my herds lands. We will rest here for the night and finish the journey in the morning."
"Good, I think she could use the rest." Peace told the stallion, letting him know that he had done a good deed. "She will be dead by morning." War stated staring at the mare.
Thanos swished his tail up and hit War with it. "Quiet you." He said with a glance back at the rat. There was a stream nearby that they could drink at in the morning and while he could have mentioned it now he wasn't sure if Regret would make it there and back.

Regret had followed the stallion for several hours by the time he lead them into the thicker part of the forest and though she was used to hours of slow and methodical traveling she was also used to stopping from time to rest, something she hadn't done during this trip. She supposed she could have...but for some reason she hadn't and now it seemed like a pointless thought anyways since the beast obvously intended them to stay here for a time.
Eyeing the spot Regret decided the stallion had made a decent choice - which made sense if they were close to his land - clearly he would know the area surrounding his herd lands well. Most leaders did didn't they? She had, back when she was....Regret shook her head unwilling to continue that trail of thought.Any need for further dispelling of the memories was brought to an end when Thanos spoke and for that the mare was grateful - that memory in particular was a hard one to erase once it burrowed in. "It is a good spot" She told the stallion before shuffling over and lowering herself to the ground. She would probably be stiff in the morning...but then wasn't she always?
She ignored his last comment since it seemed directed at the rats rather then her - or at least thats what she assumed since she certainly hadn't said anything. Continuing this trend she let out a heavy sigh and took a mouthful of sparse vegetation - more because it was there then out of any desire to eat.

Thanos watched Regret lay down in the spot he indicated. Yes, it is a good spot, he thought. Why else would he have picked it. When she took a bit of nearby grass he wondered if she was hungry. She hadn't said anything about it, but then again if she had he might not have remembered. Oh well, if she was hungry she would tell him. Wouldn't she? Shaking his mane he just stood there. He could lay down but why, he wasn't tired. He was never tired. Not since...well not since he had died. Oh well, at least he didn't have to worry about finding a spot to rest every night.
It didn't take long before Regret was fast asleep. He took a few steps forward, standing close to her and watched her sleep. She looked even more fragile now. It was amazing...yes that's it, amazing that something so skinny could survive for so long.
"We should leave her now, let her find her own way. If she survives the night." "We can't just leave her here. That's not right."
"No, we are not leaving her. I told her I would take her to where the herd and that's what I intend to do." He told the rats. Even though he wasn't sure why he was doing so, he told himself that he would. A promise was a promise after all, even if it was to an outsider. Although he really didn't know why the mare would want to see his sorry excuse for a herd. Maybe he should have told her how useless they all were before they made it this far. They were useless after all, except Thorn, all wanting nothing to do with the plans for destruction now that they were given a...oh what was it called...a second chance? Yeah that was it...at least he thought it was. Stupid second chances.
