Tavian Looking over the books lined up on the shelf, Tavian paused and turned back to the Absol when he spoke, returning the smile. Well, at least someone around here wasn't crazy and/or a jerk. "And I'm Tavian." he said calmly, this time not turning back to the bookshelf.

AltaïrAltaïr's smile turned into a grin when Tavian answered him. It seemed Shadowmere wasn't the only personality this guild possessed. "I saw you today, during de' fight," He said, slipping off of the couch and stretching his legs. "Tell me, Tavian, do things like that happen often here? I am quite new to all of 'dis..." He asked.

Tavian As Altair spoke, Tavian leaned one shoulder against the bookshelf, listening and then chuckling a little at the Absol's question. Well, it did seem like the Guild was prone to some strange things, but that was sort of the nature of a place like this, attracting attention and getting involved in crazy business. "Well, a bit," he said, motioning off-handedly with one paw, "We tend to have some odd adventures, but I can't say I've ever seen anything quite like what happened today before... Though admittedly I'm not exactly an ancient veteran myself."

AltaïrThe Absol chuckled after Tavian spoke. "Well, at least you have some kind of experience," He said. "I only just recently broke out of my egg," He added, hiding a little blush. The fact that it took him so long to hatch was kind of embarrassing.

Tavian Tavian shrugged when Altair mentioned his experience, but then hesitated at his remark about his egg, frowning a little in confusion. "Really? But you're--" he began, but then trailed off, something suddenly occuring to him. This was kind of like Kadi, she had only just hatched but already seemed to be just a few years younger than him, apparently because she'd been stuck in her egg too long from being in the Reverse World. "Did you come from the Reverse World then?" he asked.

AltaïrAltaïr nodded at this question. "I don't know where I am originally from, but my egg was stuck in 'de Reverse World for many many years," He explained. "It was like a living hell in there, and now I can't stand being in any tight or crowded a'deas..." He let out a soft sigh. "Right now I'm just glad to be free," He said, cracking a smile.

Tavian Tavian frowned a little as Altair explained his origins, and he couldn't help but wonder about Kadi. She hadn't mentioned anything about the Reverse World or what it was like to them, though admittedly she hadn't been here that long, and she didn't seem like the type who would even recognize a hellish place when she saw one. But he supposed it was possible she just didn't want them to worry about her and so didn't say anything... "I see... Someone from my team had the same thing happen to her, but..." he trailed off, sighing, then smiled a little. "Must be nice to get to finally have some proper leg room." he chuckled.

AltaïrThe Absol nodded and stretched his legs a little more. "Indeed, it is," He said with a smile. He then decided to find out a little more about this interesting Riolu. "So, what about you, Tavian? From where do you hail?" He asked with a friendly tone. Although he had been alone for so long, Altaïr had well developed social skills.

Tavian Tavian blinked and hesitated when Altair asked him about his home, staring off into space for a moment before shrugging and doing his best to stay casual. "Me? Well, my family's estate is by a town a ways to the northwest of here, near the ocean." Thinking about it, it really was a fair ways away, by the time he found his way to the Guild he'd pretty much lost all sense of what direction he'd come in, and it wasn't until he looked at some maps they had in the library that he was able to figure out just where he had ended up. It's funny how far you can go when you don't know where you're going...

AltaïrThe Absol tilted his head. An estate north of here? "Ah, I see. I don't really know what is north of here quite yet. I have yet to study any maps," He explained. "But, my team's leader Vira said I am probably from de' east," He added with a nod. He then thought of another thing to ask. "An estate? I take it you come from a rich family then?" He asked.

Tavian Ah, the east, yeah that made sense, judging by Altair's accent. And then came the money question, literally. Tavian nodded and shrugged nonchalantly, finally pushing off from where he had been leaning against the bookshelf. "Well yeah, pretty rich I suppose. Not royalty or anything, but..." Unable to think of anything else to say, he trailed off and simply shrugged again.

AltaïrAltaïr listened as Tavian explained the economic status of his family. He notied that the Riolu didn't seem all that interested in the subject. "Well then it is good to see that 'dis money has not gone to your head, Tavian," He said with a chuckle. "In my travels in my egg, I have been given up by what seemed like good people just because they wanted lots of money," He explained. It was safe to say that Altaïr wasn't any sort of money lover. Keep what you need, but don't overdo it.

Tavian Tavian nodded to Altair's explanation of being passed around as an egg because of money; it made sense, an egg of a pokemon as rare as Absol was probably pretty valuble. He frowned a little though at the mentioning of his relationship with money, shrugging off-handedly and sighing. "Well, I haven't really been a part of all that money for a while, so I guess my opinions have probably been changed somewhat." he remarked.

AltaïrAltaïr nodded at Tavian's explanation. "Dat' is understandable. When you are separated from something, you tend to lose inte'dest in it," He remarked. At that point, he gave a grin, showing off his pearly white teeth. "You know, Tavian, I think I like you a lot. We should talk more often. It could do us some good, I think?" He suggested.

Tavian Tavian nodded agreement to Altair's first comment, but added, "Or gain interest." He motioned off-handedly with one paw. He then paused for a moment at the Absol's suggestion, but soon nodded, grinning a little. "Sure, the rest of my team aren't exactly the types to have calm conversations with anyway." he remarked, chuckling.
