Penelope Faye slumped into school. Her eyes red and puffy from crying. She opened up her locker and pulled out her english books, then slumped off to class.
Penni opened up the door of the class room and spotted Adrian.
She quickly slid over to seat near him. "Apple." Penelope turned to him with a look of distraught across her face.

Jack looked past Adrian to see a girl who looked like she had been crying. "Apple.....?" She did her best to hide a grin even though she was worried on the inside. If this girl bothered talking to Adrian, then she had to be one of his friends. Had she been hurt??

"Yes. Apple!" She managed a slight smile and looked at a girl who questioned the name Apple. "H-hello I'm Penelope Faye. And you are?" She murmured wipeing away a stray tear from her eye.

Jack smiled and waved a little. "I'm Jack Thetanos. You can call me Jackie, though." She inclined her head slightly. "May I ask why you're crying??"

Penelope flushed red. "Sorry... I'm a mess lately. Apple..." She said looking at him and back at Jack. "Lucis missing. She went missing last night. Her parents are frantic. If you din't know you moved here at a bad time. Theres frequent kidnappings lately and me and a few of my friends pocked our noses alittle to far in to it. A-a-and now Lucis gone." Tears trailed farther down her face. "Crap... Right in the middle of class. I wasn't gonna come to school but I had to tell Apple. Mrs.Red phoned me last night to tell me and asked me to tell the rest of Lucis friends." Penni pulled out a tissue and wiped her tears away. "I'm sorry..." She flushed red again, embaressed for crying in class.

Jack was silent. Missing....Person....? She frowned a little. That's strange...If Dave's behind this, this is just too cruel for a joke.... She looked up. Luci Red?? Hey, I live next to that girl. She's gone?? "No, it's okay. It's alright to show emotions." She blushed as she remembered the incident before class.

Penni sighed as the teacher told her to be quiet. She murmured one second to Jack and then got up with a note in her hand and handed it to the teacher. She sat back down. "Thanks. So when did you move here?"

Jack ran a hand through her hair and sighed. "A while ago. Just at the start of the year." She paused. "I know that girl. Luci Red, right? She lives next door to me. Well, used to, if she really is missing."

"Oh, sorry I didn't notice you. I guess I had my head full of other things. Lucis your neighbor? Oh yeah. Mrs.Red reported her missing yesterday morning. And a witness says they saw her being pulled into a truck but couldn't rmeber anything else."

"That's alright. Today was my first day." Jack rearranged her own thoughts. That's right....Luci was still there a couple of days ago.... Jack leaned into her chin, brows furrowed in deep thought. "Who was the witness??"

A smile came across his face as he saw Penni eneter the room. Once she sat down and saw that she was crying he hugged her quickly then let go and settled in his seet. He sat back and listen to Penni and Jack talk and has he heard the bad new he tried holding back tears some sliped threw and he wiped them away quickly. " I can't beileve that. who would do such a thing?" Apple asked shaking his head side to side. " Well you guys are getting to know each other pretty well" he choke out a lagh.

Jack gave Adrian a weak smile. "....Yeah...." She looked away, lost in thought. Luci's disappeared....What happened around my place before that....? The dogs were walked.....Baking......A new neighbor moved in......Nothing else.....And most of my neighbors have trucks, so that's out....Unless...."Do you know what the truck looked like??"

Penelope looked up as Adrian spoke "I don't know but we have to find her. Luci would look for anyone of us!" She wiped another tear and her eyes trailed up to look at Jack. "I thing Red something about a murky red. But theres plenty of that color around the neighborhood."
