 Konaga SaiAkatsuki | Konaga Clan | Special JouninWith a gust of wind, Sai appeared in front of the entrance of the Akatsuki base, quickly walking up to the mountainside as he scanned his ring and the doors opened to allow him in, quickly closing behind him to seal the entrance once more as it returned to its previously innocuous look.

Konaga SaiAkatsuki | Konaga Clan | Special JouninSai kept up his pace for the entirety of the trip, which was considerable since they were on foot, but after a long span of travel, they came to a secluded forest with winding pathways and gnarled trees as Sai led akio through the landscape. After a while of travel with twists and turns, they finally came to a mountain pass, crossing a small creek, leaping over it as Sai noted Akio be careful not to touch the banks of the brook for about a foot on other side. this was a trap he had set up long ago with electrified trip wires spanning the bank... one of the many precautions they took to protect their base.
At last they arrived at the mountainside entrance of the Akatsuki base as Sai stopped and held up Blue's ring, which he still held in his pocket. "These rings signify our group and are the key to safe passageway into our base. We all wear one." Sai held up his right thumb to show Akio the ring he wore, though he was sure Akio might have noticed it earlier. "This ring actually belongs to a former member, who was killed due to his own stupidity. Rest assured that if you betray us, we will hunt you down to recover it. The rules are simple here...you are free to do as you please, so long as it serves the greater mission at hand. None of us are truly free yet, but we follow our goals for power that we might rise up above all others and finally dictate the order of this world. Do you understand what taking this first step means?"
Sai presented the case before Akio seriously, and this was not a decision to be made lightly. Joining the Akatsuki was a permanent position, and one they would be hunted down and killed mercilessly for leaving or betraying, not unlike any other village. It's members however lived by their own accord and would be allowed to do as they wished so long as they helped the cause. Sai knew that Selene would have to approve of this new member before he had a ring of his own, but he also knew that Selene would trust his judgment and would more then likely allow Sai's decision to pass for hers in this one case. "You can never know my pain..."

The journey wasn't exactly a breeze, while Akio had speed; maintaining stamina at those speeds was another matter, however, while it wasn't a breeze, it wasn't too hard either, and he would obviously have to keep getting stronger if he was to achieve and find true freedom.
Akio made sure to follow Sai's directions when it came to danger zones, he didn't want to end up in an early grave simply for being too pig-headed to take advice. They came to a stop at a mountainside as Sai explained to him about the rings of the Akatsuki; the worth they held and the uses they had.
"More than just a bauble I see... I think it's far too late for me to change my mind now, having seen this much, don't you agree? As I said before, my way is your way and therefore our way"
Akio turned away from Sai for a moment and took in the forest; breathing deeply, he focused his thoughts, solidifying his will as he turned back around to respond to Sai's final question:
"I understand what this means, what you're proposing, I do, and I understand commitment is no mere game" Akio responded, bringing his right hand up to his face and sinking his teeth into the base of what would be typically denoted as the ring finger. He was to become to a member of Akatsuki.

Konaga SaiAkatsuki | Konaga Clan | Special JouninSai made no response, either emotional or physical to respond to Akio's little plays on word, inferring that the ring was a form of marriage to the organization. Passing off the strangeness of the man for the satisfaction that he would help Akatsuki reach it's goal, Sai stood staring at the man with an emotionless stare as he moved his ring across a section of the mountainside as his ring was scanned. Not more then a second later, the mountainside began to slide open as if a crack were forming within it as it split open, revealing a path into the base.
"The door is only open for about 15 seconds, same goes for the traps being disabled...try not to linger after scanning the ring." well aware that his words took up a decent portion of the time they had to get through the entrance, Sai hurried into the base, figuring that Akio would follow close behind.

Sai was devoid of emotion as usual, that is, if you could consider the time they had spent together so far as enough to develop a sense for the norms of each other. Well, he had to learn to deal with it, and Sai would just have to put up with him, after all, a united future, a ring, working as partners; it all seemed like a euphemism for a relationship, and it was, at the very least; bad comedy.
Akio noted where and how the ring was used, the time, and what it affected. He mirrored Sai's movements and speed as they entered into the base of operations for the group known as Akatsuki. He wondered about what he would have seen had he done a reading today; maybe 'Death'? This did seem like a new stage of life after all. Regardless of what his cards may or may not have said; he knew what he was doing, what he wanted to do, and what he would do.{{Exit to the Meeting Room}}

Konaga SaiAkatsuki | Konaga Clan | Special JouninThe quiet solitude of the area surrounding the entrance to the Akatsuki base was disturbed rather suddenly as the mountainside rumbled, the front entrance opening up as Sai and Akio emerged out of the cracked entrance only to have it quickly close behind them. it was snowing, and the air was quite frigid, though Sai made no attempt to warm himself or showed a sign of even a single shiver. Sai closed his eyes for a second, trying to feel the wind which he could see was blowing, taking in a deep breath in an attempt to take in the smells of the mountain air around him. It was all drowned out of his senses however, the very wind and cold itself barely registering against his skin as the curse of his bloodline raged through his body, his skin and muscles screaming in pain from the pure chakra that was infused into every cell of his being, torturing him constantly.
Often in his dreams, Sai found himself in a place far away, sitting atop the bluff of a high waterfall, feeling the wind in his hair, absent of the pains of his life. Had life not been so cruel as to have dealt him the cards he had received, Sai might be a peaceful man... but as it was, the world had failed him, and only he was awakened to the sickness the world contained and he would expose it to everyone. What had begun as an attempt at a moment of peace quickly turned into a storm of anger which fueled Sai's inner rage as he looked up at the sky, watching the snowflakes fall as he saw the sun cast a red stripe across the slowly rising sun. "A crimson stripe... someone of great power has left this world." The words of the hermit from his childhood rang in his ears as he saw the stripe, but he quickly wiped the silly childish reading of the skies to turn to Akio with the same emotionless expression as was his custom..."I take it you know the Kaze Shunshin no Jutsu?" (Wind Instantaneous Body Skill) "You can never know my pain..."

Akio TakamiyaSpecial JouninOoooh, it's gotten chilly out here, this is all right, but I do prefer the falling leaves and smell of rain
Akio was definitely experiencing the cold more than Sai, but he decided it wasn't that bad, so he'd just have to man up and ride it through. Nothing ever came complaining, the world was all 'cause and effect'; you couldn't just whine and expect the best: you dealt with things and survived or you cowered in fear of life and met death. Sai had cast his gaze upwards and Akio followed with him, there was a strange redness shooting forth from the sun in a brilliant arc:
"The sun is life's zenith, before all returns to the world" he mumbled, but quickly tturned back to Sai as the man began to speak to him, obviously done with his sky watching.
"You should have more faith in me, Sai, it's a staple technique".

I guess I won't bother to ask you if you know where the leaf gates are..." Waiting for no response, Sai formed a few hand seals as the wind picked up around him, swirling around him in a miniature tornado. As the winds picked up the surrounding snow, forming it into a localized blizzard around Sai, obscuring any vision of him before the wind dissipated as quickly as it had come, once more dropping to snow flakes back to the ground to reveal Sai was gone.

Before Akio could say anything, Sai had already use the jutsu and vanished, and transported himself to the Leaf Gates, following suit, Akio also formed the necessary seals and as he did th wind began to stir. First at his feet, it began to rotate clockwise, and then ahove it rotated; anticlockwise.
The two rings of wind began to pick up speed, and erupted into two small twister, the one spinning clockwise rose up to meet the one spinning anti-clockwise, the two meeting head-on and exploding in a tower of writhing wind. Somehow, none of the snowflakes were drawn in like Sai's jutsu, instead they were inexplicably pushed away.
When the twister stilled and dissipated, Akio was gone; spirited away to the Gates of Konohagakure.

Konaga SaiAkatsuki | Konaga Clan | Special JouninIn a gust of wind, the snow picked up in the area, and after the miniature blizzard subsided, Sai steeped out into the snow covered mountain pass. Looking around at the familiar surroundings, Sai barely felt any change from the weather of extremely hot to extremely cold in the transition from the volcano to the snow covered forests, and then to the mountains, but he shrugged it off casually... half wishing he could in fact feel the difference rather then the constant numbness that dulled his sense, but quickly cast the self-pity off. Scanning his ring, the mountainside opened up before him and he made his way to the meeting room, watching as the doors closed with a slam behind him.

Akatsuki | Motarasu Hana Clan | Kai Akatsuki med! Kai exted the rock mountain as it slid closed behind her she then walked off to explore she never took her akatsuki cloak only her ring of haku as she headed to the rice country
