"Well, they're having the dinner later, and i'm sure my best friend is probably going to try and show up with a date, so i hope i'm not too forward in asking you to come sit next to me when the dinner does come around, so he won't have any jokes to make later about me not meeting any pretty girls here."
Sukai listened to his request judging as to whether or not it was truly sincere. She couldn't be too sure, and then she saw that smile. The smile that he had been giving her the entire time, the one that genuinely always caught her by surprise. By then she knew it was sincere, whether or not cause she was taken by surprise by his smile or whatever, it didn't matter for the moment. She then thought the words over, was that...a compliment?
"If that's too much, that's ok with me, i'll manage, but i'd really like to show up with someone as pretty as you, just so i could rub his nose in it."
She laughed a little bit at the childishness of the matter. Sukai supposed that even the ones that give good advice, could also be just as childish as her sometimes. When her light laughter came down she noticed that he had reaffirmed her thoughts. He was complimenting her on her looks.
'He thinks I'm pretty....?'she thought looking at him. If she could blush she would have been blushing, bright hot red in fact. But obviously that wasn't going to happen anytime soon. But then again, she was a vampires, and vampires were always suppose to be alluring towards the human eye.
"Sure, I'd love to accompany you to the holiday dinner later on,"she said smiling gently, "I hope we give your best friend a run for his money, and I hope you'll get the 'results' that you wish for this evening."

Gabriel calmed down a bit after Aki practically stopped the elf from going bald. "Look Aki, I'm sorry for giving you an earful, but it's just... you need to be more careful. Think before you act, okay?" Gabriel smiled.
That same smile quickly turned into a frowm after the alien boy took a bite of the fruit and callapsed. Gabriel caught him in time, then went into yet another attack.
"Aki?...Aki?! AHHH! WAKE UP!!" Gabriel's eyes practically popped out of his head as he was struggling to bring Aki back to life by shaking the boy. "I knew that food was dangerous! Why'd you have to go and eat it, Aki?!" As Gabriel started shaking the boy, Zexon took a peek at the elf.
"Well, can't you do something besides staring at me?!" The elf shouted. "Wait I know! Can you get some water?" Then a thought occurred to Gabriel.
Wait, why am I talking to a small animal? I must really be desperate!

Aki's head bobbled weakly on his neck, like a doll lifelessly flopping around when shaken. He made no response. He just drooled out bits of fruit and juice and remained lost with only the whites of his eyes visible. Zexon stared, blinking up at Gabriel and then to Aki again, before the little rat huffed a soft little sigh-like noise.
He hooped forward on his kangaroo legs onto Aki's shoulder, then his head, and turned around. His tail wasted no time in swinging down and poking the girl-pretending-to-be-boy's wide open eye.
"Gyaah-!"
Aki let out a shriek, jerking upright and covering his eye with both hands, as the tiny animal fled to safety by hopping onto Gabriel's shoulder. "Z-Zexon, you jerk! It was only a joke! ..ah..." He blinked, with his good eye, and stared toward the elf he'd once again just terrorized. "Um, it was.. just a prank? Here, here, it's totally fine! I should be careful but.. you should have more fun!" Grinning once more, Aki held out an unbitten piece of fruit, as if it were a peace offering.

Gabriel just stood at the untouched pice of fruit with a blank expression on his face. With that same look, he stared at Aki. Gabe got quiet for a while, and within minutes that expression soon turned into one of full-blown rage.
"YOU IDIOT!!" Gabe said as he punched Aki right on his head. "I can take you joking around, but there is such a thing as playing too much. You almost gave me a damn heart attack! What have you got to say for yourself?!" The elf was once again letting the alien have it. Gabe was now having second thoughts of sticking around this kid any longer, for it just might be the death of him! This has been one of the few times he's shown his mean, angry side, and little Zexon was shaken by the frightful tone in the enraged elf's voice.

Akimi blinked, waiting expectantly with his fruit offering, fully expecting her new friend to take it. So when he shouted instead, he was caught off guard. The hit really got him. "A-ah-!" He jolted, eyes widening as his arms snapped back and covered his head, wrapping it up with his arms. The fruit was dropped, tumbling to the ground at their feet as he clutched at his vivid blue hair. "O-owie..." he sulked, whining as he squirmed in place, tears welling up in his eyes. He looked pitiful, like a little kid who'd just been scolded, which pretty much was the case.
Zexon jumped as well, skittering quickly from Gabriel's shoulder and leaping to Aki's, where he then scrambled right down his shirt to hide. "I thought it'd be funny..." Aki pouted, still squirming in place and rubbing his head. "I'm sorry..." Lower lip puffed out, he bent and picked up the fruit, carefully brushed it off, and held it up while keeping his head lowered to the ground. "Here... I got this for you."

Austin smiled just a bit wider, unintentionally giving away how happy he was that she said yes. He did a little arm pump as a joke, and went "Awesome." He looked into Sukai's eyes for a moment, mentally putting her on the spot for his next statement. "I've already gotten one of the 'results' I was looking for this evening." He put his hands down after doing air-quotes for the word 'results', and spoke calmly, pulling back his smile a bit. "I got you to come with me. As long as I've done that, I don't care who Ginseku brings." Austin added just a tiny bit more to the smile, then paused for just a second, before turning off to look at the wall for a moment. After a few seconds of thought, he turned back to Sukai. "What will you be wearing? Should i follow a color theme, or did you plan on just throwing something together?" It was a weird thing for Austin to ask about; after all, he rarely cared about clothes unless he was within the confines of PacSun, and he was very picky, at that. " Maybe I could just get a look at it? That'd probably give me a better idea." He continued with his genuine, warm smile; it seemed like that was what was closing the deal here, and he was glad that if he knew anything about flirting, he knew the best cues in conversation to throw one in. Ginseku had taught it to him, and though he hated having to rely on something he didn't learn himself, he felt it was he who should be getting credit here.

Usually when Gabriel is angry, his ears would point more upward. After a while he calmed down, which showed when his ears went back to normal.
"Fine. Lucky for you, I'm a nice person." Gabe sighed, trying to let Aki's antics go. The elf felt as if he was this kid's baby sitter, which, in some odd way was the case. "Just...don't play like that next time, okay? That's not funny," the taller and older of the two said in a stern voice, with his hands on his hips. "Got it?"
It was then that Gabriel went into deep thought. Sure the kid nearly got them in trouble, and caused the poor elf his health a little, but when you think about it, all of this was because the child wanted to do something nice for a friend.
"Even though in the little while since I met you, you drove me crazy, I know you're a good kid and just wanted to make a nice, friendly gesture." And with that, Gabriel smiled and took a bit off the fruit.

Lucien clapped his hands slowly, in an act of praise towards someone who wasn’t there, “Magnificent!” He said, his voice willed with wonder and surprise at the familiarity of these plants and the beautiful arrangement and variety, “Simply magnificent!” The placement of the flora was masterful at the very least and its care-taking had to be exquisite, for it can be easily seen that the plants are in an extraordinary state of health some sporting gorgeous flowers others growing to gargantuan heights.
He walked around, examining each new plant species, finding them to be remarkably similar to desert plants in the human home world. Before he knew it, Lucien had already begun to name the plants- some by their common names while others were referred to by their taxonomy. He’d stop for a moment with each, describing their physical attributes and how it affects them- like how those with ‘ribbed’ stems like an accordion were meant to expand and hold massive quantities of water and how the rounded shapes of barrel cacti held the most volume with the least surface area.
Since the gardens had many of the same species, Lucien moved forward, if only to let Evie walk a bit. He stopped mid-speech as he saw a cluster of barrel cacti bordering a gargantuan version of the same- reaching almost eight to nine feet in height while much smaller ones were scattered around it like the pumpkin patches of fairy tales. His eyes grew wide with astonishment and a hand was slowly raised to point it out, if Evie hadn’t noticed it already. His voice shook with astonished surprise as he admired the sight, “My goodness! Never have I seen a barrel cactus of that size. Back on earth they only rise up to five or six feet at the most!” He felt a tug at the corners of his mouth as he added in a reverential whisper, “Marvelous- simply marvelous.”

Akimi's downcast expression lingered as he stared down at the ground but kept the fruit raised, waiting. To him, if the fruit was taken it'd mean he was forgiven, so he was waiting for just that, and his arms would never waiver until it happened. Luckily, it didn't take all that long.
He peeked cautiously up again and watched his ears for a moment, his head cocked lightly to one side, and then lightly smiled when he spoke. "Got it!" Aki chimed happily. He hadn't been here for long, and he didn't really know how to react with people from Earth. It was all an experimental process. Still, he had known that the joke was a mean one. He just hadn't guessed how badly it would be taken. He should've, in afterthought, based upon the elf's tendency to panic. Oh well, what was done was done.
And, he'd taken the fruit!
Aki beamed, swaying in place as he clasped his hands behind himself, and Zexon slowly crawled from his shirt to perch on his shoulder again. So his head tilted, nuzzling the furry little creature as he watched Gabriel eat. "S'good, isn't it?" he grinned, and soon after took another bite of his own.
Evie trotted behind Lucien like a puppy anxious to please, watching his every move except for brief moments taken to look over the plants he seemed so excited over. It was pretty, and neat, but she thought he might be overreacting just a little. Then again, he was a scientist, so he would probably be more interested in things like this. She had to admit, it was pretty cool that the plants here were like those on earth. It made her feel a bit more at home and less like she was a million miles away.
When Lucien began to name and explain, Evie was right there to nod along, uttering little "wow"s and the like where she felt necessary. She was interested in it herself, but found herself more amused by his like of the area. She supposed picking a boring place like the gardens hadn't turned out to be very boring at all.
She jumped slightly when he paused, and followed his pointing hand, blinking at the sight. She wasn't aware of a normal cactus's height on her own, so she had to wait for him to explain before it began to impress her as well. "How do you think they do it..?" she asked curiously, edging a little closer to cautiously reach out. She paused for just a second, before continuing and letting her fingers brush tenderly along the plant, her eyes watching her fingers and then rising to stare toward the top of the cactus as it towered over her. "Get them so big, I mean..."

"Yeah. This is delicious!" said Gabriel through a muffled voice due to his chewing of the fruit. After he finished swallowing, he took a look at Aki.
"Like I said, you're a good kid," he said through a smile and ruffled the child's hair. "Is freaking people out like that you're way of trying to make friends?" Gabe said with a laugh. "'Cause if you keep it up, I'm not quite sure you'll have any." Gabriel stopped a bit to form a question in hes head. He laid down with his hands propped under his head.
"So, Aki, since we are friends, wanna tell me a bit about yourself, where you're from, any friends you might have, family...the whole thing. If I'm getting too personal here, feel free to stop me or not answer any of my questions if you're uncomfortable about them."

Aki's grin was again locked upon his face, stuck and unable to be swiped away. At least, until he got himself yelled at again. It was only a matter of time, but he'd try to behave. He just liked things fast paced and always interesting!
"What? No! I make friends," he cried, pouting from behind his fruit. "You're my friend, right? I'll try not to do it again..." He let out a small sigh and hung his head a little, then glanced at Zexon as the little kangaroo rat nuzzled his cheek. His smile returned and he nuzzled warmly back, until Gabriel's next questions distracted him again.
"What? Oh, yeah. I'm-" However, Zexon distracted him, hopping onto his head and nestling into his vibrant blue hair. It looked like that was all he'd done, but he was really pulling it as well with his tiny little paws. Aki winces lightly, closing one eye as he peeked upwards, then rolled his shoulders in a small shrug. A second later, the smile was back, but it looked a bit more mischievous, as he held up a finger as if making a point. "That's a secret. Never know who might be listening~" He grinned, casting a mock wary look side to side.

Gabriel looked at Aki's face and smiled.
"You know you have a cute smile," he said as he ruffled her hair again. "And yes, Aki we're friends. And don't just try, don't do it again."
"And who around here is listening? It's not like we're around everyone else. You could whisper to me, if you'd like." Gabriel was grinning. "But, at the same time if you don't want to tell me who you are, that's okay. I'll wait 'till you feel comfortable. Or...," His grin grew even wider. "I may find a way to find out for myself who I'm spending my time with." Gabe had a look on his face that was even more mischievous than Aki's.

“Well I’m glad you got at least one of your results, “she said happy for Austin nodding a little. It seemed that he was getting his way, which was cute in its own way. His reactions were just too fascinating to her. Sukai stared into his eyes, though they seemed empty there was life in there, unlike her.
"I got you to come with me. As long as I've done that, I don't care who Ginseku brings." she heard him say, telling her what exactly the result was.
Oh if only Sukai could blush, this entire time a blush had not appeared on her face no matter how flattering the things were that Austin was saying, but if she could, a red hue would have adorned her cheeks the entire time. She had never been flattered as much as she had now. The only thing that she had to show that she appreciated what he was saying to her was the small crinkle in her eye and the small smile that she was constantly keeping upon her lips. A thoughtful look appeared on Sukai’s face as she thought of what exactly she should wear to the dinner that evening. “I’m not sure, probably this skirt and shirt that I have, definitely going to be red and black,” she said softly trying to sort out what exactly she had brought to Treachu with her in her head. She had almost the perfect outfit in mind when she heard Austin’s voice interrupt her, " Maybe I could just get a look at it? That'd probably give me a better idea."
She turned her head to look at him, did that mean that she should probably bring him to her room in the girl’s quarter? ‘Well, how else is he going to get a look at what you plan to wear to this function…’she thought to herself. Sukai moved her head back and forth a little bit, almost as if she was having a conversation to herself. “I guess,” she mumbled more to herself than to him, “I mean, yes, sure, would you like to come to the girls’ quarters then?”she asked him. She would be find showing him what she would plan to wear anywhere, it was only a matter of pull the clothes out and laying it or holding it in front of him. Sukai would definitely keep how it would look on her a secret until the dinner.

Aki's head tilted as he peered up at the taller elf. One eye closed and his nose wrinkled as his hair was ruffled, but he laughed all the same, wiggling a little in place. No one had playfully ruffled his hair in so long that he'd forgotten what it felt like! "Cute?" he added with another laugh, half giggling and looking slightly disbelieving.
As he mentioned that they were alone, he paused and glanced around, peeking warily side to side. Were they really? He heard voices in the distance, but none were really close. So they were, sort of... Zexon must've sensed that he was breaking, because he scurried onto his shoulder this time, and yanked at a few strands of hair, causing Aki's head to jerk to the side. "O-ow! Zexon, stop it," he pouted, rubbing at his head.
Then he paused once more, glancing up at the largely grinning elf before him. "...oh, is that so?" He blinked, half grinning himself now. It seemed his new friend had a mischievous side of his own! "And how are you gonna do that?"

"Yes, I said cute," Gabriel said with his trademark smile. "And to answer your question about finding you out, well...I may have a strategy yet, or might not. Or...as you have quoted, my friend, it's a secret." The elf pulled out another sly grin on his face.
"But...as a head start, and 'cause I want to have some fun, I'll just do this!" Gabriel said as he started tickling Aki.
