I really wouldn't recommend using two hormonal birth controls at once. I've heard its really bad, maybe it cancels itself out? But i think ( this is by word of mouth, i dont know how good the dependability is) that is somehow heightens your chance of it or it just isnt nearly as effective as it should be...so yeah...if you want extra protection or something..
Then try the patch ( or pill ect) and use a spermicide (A.K.A vaginal foam)
AND use a condom mrgreen Haha, talk about the kid being a mistake after all that....he's got some pretty strong swimmer though, in that case...

My first form of BC (other than condoms) is Evra. This is my second day on the patch.. and it's alright so far. But I do have a lot of questions. Like, would it be okay to have a shower once a day or something and not have it fall off?
And when EXACTLY do you start it? My doctor said pretty close to the very end of the period but in the instructions it says at the beginning...
Also, when I was peeling off the back, I kept having troubles getting it off. I did manage to get all of it off but some of it is ripped in some places. Did anyone else have trouble with that?

Mine's never ripped before. I just try to start peeling it off in one corner, and then because it hurts, I rip it off all at once and it's always come off in one piece.

As for it coming off during a shower, it shouldn't. When you put a new one on, press your hand over it for something like 20 seconds, and make sure all the edges are flat against your skin. I've only had one come off a couple of times, and even then I taped it to my body for the rest of the week so I didn't to start a new one.

I also try to position it where it won't get a lot of wear. I usually put it on my hip or towards my butt, but for example I'll try to put it where it'll be covered by underwear, instead of a little high/low where the elastic would rub more.
