Hitotsu, with new-found confidence, focused on the approach he had just used. He rotated his chakra on both sides of the leaf. He focused on making it thin. After a few minutes, he opened his eyes. Nothing had happened. (4/6)


He focused again after taking a small breather. It was harder work than he thought to focus his chakra in such a way, and right off the bat too. But, he was happy just to be training. He closed his eyes and manipulated his chakra flow. He rotated the two sides again, this time in a more controlled way. He could feel the clashing of the two sides become thinner. He knew it had cut a little further.(5/6)

Hitotsu focused more intently, clenching his eyelids in the process. Thin. . . think thin. Hitotsu chanted in his head like a mantra. He felt the chakra splitting the leaf as the two sides clashed. As he opened his eyes, he knew he felt right. "Hah. . .there. One leaf down." He winced a little, feeling a drain on his chakra.(6/6)

Tara bounded up the mountain, going to where the Hokage-Clone's told her to go. She spotted the actual Kage, and ran over to him, stopping before she crashed into him. "Alright, I'm here and ready to train."

"All right, we'll start you off with a basic jutsu, the Mizu Soujuu. Don't underestimate it though, if you soak your opponents, you can use this to freeze the water on them, halting them in their tracks. You can also boil it, and thus them." He showed her the hand seals for the technique.
With her set on her first technique, he turned to Diadem.
"Hmm. Ok, to get your chuunin vest. Normally I wouldn't suggest anything, but with war looming... Uchiha Diadem. Your mission is to scout the enemy, Kirigakure. If you can get intel on them, and return here without a fight, or if you do fight, a successful fight, and return home alive, you will be officially promoted to Chuunin of Konoha. For now, you are a Field Chuunin."

((B rank mission, just try not to get in a fight. Spend 5-10 posts in the area around Kirigakure, and get back here. You've got the stats of a chuunin, just not the title yet. That'll come when you get back here.))

"Ah, Hotaru. I take it you've learned all of the genin ranked Kaiton? If so, you're mission is to go along with Diadem here, as back up." Edward herked his head to the Uchiha.

Hitotsu nodded, taking the pill and putting it in his pocket. He mimicked his teacher's hand seals. He had studied hand seals a while ago, so it was simply a matter of applying them. Hitotsu performed the appropriate hand seals without adding chakra. He wanted to get the feel for the motions. Pretty similar to normal clones, I guess. He thought. He quickly performed his hand seals a second time. This time, they were much more fluid. Taking in the technique fully, Hitotsu performed the jutsu one last time, but this time applying chakra.(1/1)

In front of him, the wind circulated and shaped itself in his figure. After a few moments, there was a perfect copy of himself. It was hard to control, so the clone disappeared after Hitotsu broke the hand seal. "I think. . .I've got it."

Hitotsu had attempted to do the jutsu again as the Hokage spoke. He held it for a few moments after breaking the seal, but it didn't last very long. He looked to the Hokage with a smile. "Well, I have a staff. Haven't got much practice in it lately."
