The safe!
Of course, why hadn't she thought of that?!
Nervously, Felincia nodded. "I think I can manage without friends, thank you. If you'll... if you'll just let me in... I'll take out the binder myself. And... and then..." She took a deep breath. "I'll give it to you. But you have to let me go."
Not waiting for an answer, she slipped through the window, slid to the floor, and walked shakily over to the wall. On the shelf was a safe, where she kept completed "Final Documents". She slowly worked through the combo, trying hard to ignore the werewolves around her. Opening the safe, she flicked through the files, her mind racing.
'Weapons, weapons, weaponry, use of weapons... why did I invent so many weapons?... Here we are, genetics. No, these are all for health. Wait, here it is.'
She pulled out a binder labeled "Xedod" and flipped through its contents. " 'Mini spies with dogs, failure'," she read aloud. " 'Mini spies with fish, failure. Birds, failure. Cats, success. How to create cat spies. How to use cat spies.' It's all here," she said quietly, placing it on the lab table. And she wasn't really lying. Everything she had done for the first four binders, in a complete explanatory essay, was in that one black binder.
"Escort me outside if you have to," she said. "I just want to go home."

Abby gave a little jerk with her head and the burly red-haired man stepped forward. "Skim through it," she ordered. After a few seconds of looking around the room her eyes fell on the large metal cabinet. "Before you leave, please open that one," Abby requested. The woman had seemed all too willing to simply open that little safe and she was far too skeptical ononly using this formula to make spies.

Abby saw people's heads flick towards the door. She could hear nothing, but the thuds that reverberated through the floor gave her an idea. 'They're attacking back,' she thought quickly.

Felincia looked briefly at the large metal cabinet. "Sure." Stepping toward it, she revealed her extra lab coats, goggles, and gloves. Safety equipment.
"May I go home now?" she asked politely, wondering if it was only her imagination that someone was running down the stairs from the labs above.

Abby saw one of her wolves get thrown so hard he knocked the doors open. There was much blood on the floor and Abby's stomach clenched as she saw the wolf bleed out from his cracked head. The wolves inside the room ran to try and fight. Abby went over to the dead wolf and nudged him. His head lolled lazily and his eyes remained closed. She gave a little whimper and then looked at the keeper nearest her. She leaped at him and managed to bite his throat. She snarled viciously.

This was the last thing Felincia had been expecting. Shooting all of her weapons into the werewolves, she dashed around the panic and fled out the doors. She was only a hinderance in a fight, and she knew it.
On her way out the lab doors she saw the body of the secretary. She slowed to a halt. The bite on his neck was ghastly, but it was his pale face that stopped her.
He would never be nervous around her again. Suddenly, it seemed like such a loss.
Realizing she didn't even know his name, she bent to read his name tag. 'Axel.'
Vowing to be at his funeral, Felincia clutched the key she still wore around her neck. At least she still had the formula safe. They couldn't break those locks off, not even in a fight.
She turned and sprinted away from the labs.
When she reached home, panting heavily, she locked the front door behind her and ran upstairs. Her mom looked at her with raised eyebrows. "Dear, there are weapons on your arms. Were you practicing?"
"With real werewolves? Yeah," Felincia replied sarcastically. "Where's Dad? I need a computer."
"Dear, what has been going on? What were you thinking, staying in that lab all night?" her Mom asked with that annoyingly cool voice.
Of course, if it's annoying you now, you should try listening to it while she's killing you. Those poor vampires.
Felincia ignored her. "I shot a tracing device onto one of the werewolves. I need to find out where it goes. If the wolf dies in the fight, of if it falls off, it'll at least have some DNA attached and may even contain some scent of where their hideout is. Where is Dad?"
"Upstairs, sweetie."
Felincia was already there. She grabbed the computer her father wasn't using and quickly attached a cord to it and the tracing device still on her wrist. Her father watched silently as she activated the tracing program.
"Did something happen?" he finally asked.
"The lab was attacked. They want my formula."
"Werewolves?"
"Yeah."
"Did they get it?"
"No. The Keepers are fighting them now. I shot one of the werewolves with a tracing bug." She pointed suddenly to the screen. "There it is!"

Who remained of the wolves were heading all through the town, splitting up and hiding all over the place. Abby was headed to the school's playground. She could hide in one of the little tubes that children often hid in for a few hours.

When she arrived her heart was pounding and she changed into her human form. She had a large scratch on her shoulder where one of the weapons had grazed her. It stung painfully, the weapon was probably dipped in some concoction meant to do just this.

She hid the folder she had in a bag she had the sense to wear just before transforming. Some of the others were hiding with bums in alleyways and others were on roof tops. She knew one thing for sure though, no one was heading right back to the mansion.

She could not hear the Keepers running past her, but knew that some must be close. They smelled strongly of blood and sweat. The night was cold and she would have welcomed a blanket, but she had none and she could not afford to sit there as a wolf. As it was she was fairly well hidden from sight as the tube she was in was a U shape and she was hiding in the little part that kept her out of sight.

A tiny blue dot on the screen marked where the tracing device was. Satellites provided a map, showing Felincia the exact location.
"He's hiding in an alley," her father muttered. He was a werewolf-hunter, and wasted little time asking questions. "Probably transformed into a human form and is waiting for the Keepers to give up. The device will have fallen off him without fur to cling to... unless, of course," he said thoughtfully, "it got stuck in his clothing. It could happen."
"Either way, it will have DNA and scent attached," Felincia spoke her thoughts aloud. Pointing her cursor to the upper-left-hand of the screen, she clicked on the camera icon.
She saw the face of a cold man, but from the angle, she couldn't tell if it was still attached or not. And even if it was still on him, it would likely fall off as he moved.
Still, she pressed the record button and let the device do its work.
The next morning, several welcome sights greeted her eyes. The first was the new secretary: the brother of Axel. This time, she purposely asked for his name. Jesute was not as awkward as his brother, but he was a comfort all the same.
The second was the hand-scanner lab heads had installed on her lab door. Her mentor had designed it for the top-security Keeper vaults, and it was an honor that her projects were valued so highly.
It read her handprint perfectly and allowed her into Lab F, to see the third welcome sight. Five rabbits sat in five cages, one of which had a permission slip taped to the bars.
Glowing with excitement, Felincia locked her lab door - activating the hand-scanner - and whipped through her fifteen locks. She took out the sixth binder and filed the permission slip in it, then wrote in her notebook.
The mouse whose leg kept changing shape had not died in vain... and neither had Axel.

What was left or the werewolves finally returned to the mansion after an agonizing night of hiding. Abby crawled out of the little pipe to give the signal. She stretched out and looked up at the sky. Abby was stiff from sitting in the tube for so long and her hair must have looked like she rubbed a balloon all over her head. The sky was cloudy and it would start to rain soon. She quickly gave a short little whistle. The only ones who would hear it would be the wolves and they would know to go back to the mansion.

When they all arrived she took count of them. Seven wolves were missing. They had gone in with sixteen total. "We'll hold funerals when the next full moon comes. We have no bodies to bury, but I will get them all headstones," she said hanging her head low. If she had stayed here they would have left sooner, not needed to stay and try and protect her. She had also picked specific people to come on the mission. It was she who hand picked them for death.

Abby walked up the stairs and into the study. She had tombstones to get. She looked out the window to the graveyard behind the mansion where hundreds of other werewolves had been buried and looked at a large black tombstone with the head of a wolf carved into the top. 'Dad, it's all my fault,' she thought to him.

Felincia looked over the permission slip to see which rabbit had not eaten in the longest time. She selected the fourth-hungriest and fed the rest. Against her better judgement, she named the fourth-hungriest "Hambre". She didn't like writing "Rabbit #4" in her notebook.
She quickly - but carefully and precisely - put together a formula. Not her most recent one, but the one before. Her most recent one had shown signs of switching back and forth from cat to mouse - the mouse leg that kept changing shape. After dissection, Felincia decided that her formula must have re-engineered the mouse's brain, confusing voluntary with involuntary functions. The brain had involuntarily switched the leg between forms periodically, but had accidentally made the beating of the heart a voluntary function. The poor mouse, not realizing that it was supposed to think about its heart beating, died.
She had placed the mouse in a matchbox and buried him in the flower box outside one of her windows, which she kept for that sad purpose. Then she had pulled out her ingredient lists and compared them. The one difference was a single protein - which, come to think of it, explained perfectly the confusion in voluntary vrs. involuntary.
Therefore, the only difference between the two formulas was that the later one made changing shape an involuntary function.
'Could it be...?'
Having completed creating the formula a few hours later, Felincia injected it into Hambre and waited. Hambre immediately keeled over, but after a quick check on his pulse she knew he was still alive and only undergoing the effects of the formula. After an hour and a half, he had successfully turned into a cat.
This cat was larger than the mice-cats. This one was about the size of a kitten, actually. Felincia had already deduced that size depended on how big the animal was to start with.
With pride, Felincia stroked her rabbit-cat and praised it. Then she stuck a piece of lettuce through the bars.
The very hungry Hambre looked at her, confused.
"Go on," Felincia said. "It's just lettuce. You ate it when you were a rabbit. Go on."
The cat sniffed the leaf and tried to bite it. Its fangs pierced the leaf, and the green was stuck. After a few minutes of furious shaking and paw-swiping, the leaf came off, but it was no closer to being eaten. Felincia dragged over a chair and waited.
Finally, after four and a half hours, the rabbit-cat figured something out. Slowly, it changed back into a rabbit. With little grinding teeth it chewed the lettuce leaf happily.
Felincia leapt into the air with a whoop!

[[There is little for me to do until characters can interact with each other again. To successfully roleplay, you need to have characters interact with each other. Think about it. Would you rather say in a room full of other kids, or stay in a room completely alone without any other contact...ever. Unless you have issues, most people would pick the room full of others, simply for company.]]

When Jesute knocked on the door to Lab F, there was no response.
"Felincia? Your parents called. They want you 'home now, not tomorrow in a dozen pieces'," the secretary quoted.
Still no response.
With a sigh, the boy put his hand to the hand-scanner and swiped his DNA card, an extra precaution against everyone who was not Felincia. The door clicked open, and he entered.
He wasn't surprised to see four rabbits and a cat in cages, but he was surprised to see a cat roaming about on the floor.
"Hey, you, get out..." he began to chase the cat.
Then he noticed Felincia's clothes and lab coat on the floor.
The cat sat on the clothes and meowed loudly.
"Felincia? Did you... self-experiment?"
Felincia nodded - awkwardly, because cats aren't supposed to do that. "Yes, I did. I know I should have applied for a permission slip, but I couldn't contain my excitement. Isn't this great? I have the natural instincts of a cat - the equivalent of a vampire's - and the bloodthirst of a werewolf. But twice the cleverness of both, I must say, though that may be the cat talking. Cats are always conceited, but I think they have a reason to be. I mean, look at me! I can kill with a calculated swipe of my paw, now! This is amazing! I'm going to file to be a werewolf hunter. Won't Dad be thrilled!"
This was all that Felincia said, but Jesute couldn't understand her because it all sounded like "Mrrrrrrrooooooowwwwwwwwrrrrrrrrrr..."

[[Here is where I update Felincia's profile.]]

She walked through town, hands lazily over her head. She finally had a day off and nothing to do.
'Wonder what I could do today....'

Rustle, Rustle

She looked over to the bushes, and there she saw a figure. The figure was hunched over and limping.

"Hello?" She asked quietly.
A grunt was her only reply.

And the seasons, they go round and round

Silas was walking through a little park area on his way home from the cafe. He saw a little snack scurry down a tree. 'Mmm. I could use something to tide me over until tomorrow when I get to hunt,' he thought to himself. He looked closely at the bush where the squirrel had just ran into. He spotted it with the help of his heightened senses.

He darted after it and hid in the large bush. Silas grabbed the little rodent and sunk his fangs deep into it's gut. "Hello?" he heard someone ask. He must have rustled the bush in his eating.

He replied with his mouth still on the rodent which resulted in a grunting sound.. He was not fond of being disturbed in the middle of a meal, no matter how small. he peeked through the leaves of the bushes to see Kyla.

He finished his snack and got out of the bush. Luckily there were few people around and nobody would really care about a squirrel with little puncture marks on it. "Hi Kyla," he said.
