xxxxBut still, my will is to [ F I G H T ] to defend everything at this ʀ ɛ a ʟ ɪ т ʏ Elisia watched both of them carefully. This was annoying as hell. She closed her eyes. Muttering something much like an incantation under her breath, she held her hand out towards Kagayaki. Immediately her zanpaktou's spirit appeared again. Huang appeared in front of her, looking a little disgruntled and bothered by this sudden request.
"What should I do?" Elisia asked quietly, without any sort of demand in her voice.
"What's the problem? Just kill her." Huang answered in the most cocky and infuriating voice.
Elisia stood still, trying to decide what to actually do. Fight the girl in front of her? That would be a waste of time and energy, not to mention the fact that these were most likely very powerful spirits. Kato was already battling the other spirit - the guy. Her eyes tried to analyse the long golden-haired girl before her but she gave up after a while. One could never know what people were like until they battled. A battle was the last thing that she really wanted to do.
Elisia sighed and looked back at Huang with an irritated look in her eyes.
"Thanks for the help." Elisia said in a monotonous voice.
Huang disappeared again. Elisia stood there and sheathed her zanpaktou. She really did not feel like fighting. This was meant to be a trip to catch up with an old friend and it turned out to be a fighting trip. If this was what it was like as a Captain, it was different to what she thought it would have been. Then again, this only happened when Hei was around. After this, she would be just content to sit down and have a relaxing day. Her eyes trained herself on Kagayaki.
"Seriously. I don't want to fight. Can I just go over there?" Elisia asked, her voice coming out tired as if she had dramatically aged in the past moments.

{Oops, i missed alot.}
Hiro felt the hollow change somehow, he knew something was not right. By now he had regained his sight and was peering towards the direction of the oncoming hollow, as it cut its way through the woods disregarding it earlier stealth. Whats it doing? Crap, its after me again! Hiro Quickly sidestepped the predictable lunge, and only barely missed the cero because it was such close range. I wasn't expecting that... and i guess it can sense me. he thought dryly. Seeing his shikai would be useless here, and actually more of a burden he released it. He started to move for the closest tree as a second blade slid through his right arm sleeve. It must be weakened by light, how else could it see so well down here? I should make the playing field alittle more even. Hiro took out a jelly jar he had previously stolen from the kitchen only now it was rigged with something, it had a ripcord attached to it as well as a layer of liquid between the glass and a solid core, he pulled the ripcord and dropped it as he fled up the trees. He quickly made his way up to the treetops jumping up between the trees, as the jar exploded, sending shrapnel and a flaming liquid much like Greek fire everywhere, as well as covering his escape with smoke.

Light gives of itself freely, filling all available space. It does not seek anything in return; it asks not whether you are friend or foe. It gives of itself and is not thereby diminished.   The feathers shot at the man got an inch away from him before vanishing into wisps of darkness. The man sneered again, chuckling wickedly along with the facial expression. "Ne, birdie, I don't have time to play with you. Run along." Kagezume appeared behind the barrier and pulled his weapon from his shoulder. He aimed one strike at it, and with his scythe it only needed one before it began to break the barrier down with it's suppression powers. Kagezume shouldered the scythe once more when he was done with the barrier. He pulled his feet from the ground and floated in mid-air with his legs crossed. He seemed to be giving Kato time to regroup anyway. "I know I'm supposed to be a distraction, but who cares? Fight me, young one, and lets see who dies first." Kagezume chuckled again and threw back his head.
Kagayaki could only watch Elisia and the newcomer, but was thoroughly unamused by the fact that she was speaking to her. Kagayaki's gaze shifted to Kagezume and she spoke to him via their telepathic link. "She's talking to me." "Who the hell cares? Kill her already." "No one said she was going to talk to me." "and no one said you had to talk to her either." "Then how do I respond?" "I don't know, use your damn brain." With Kagezume's last words, she looked at Elisia again and shook her head. Within a matter of seconds, light took shape around her hands and Kagayaki drew herself into a fighting stance right before pulling her arm back, punching forward, and released what seemed to have been a mini cero from her fist.
The hollow continued to bound after Lee, getting out of his explosion with only minor burns and the tiniest scratch in his scales. Apparently Hiro had yet to figure out that shrouding it's sight was at the very least, only a method to buy a short amount of time. If sniffed Hiro out and quickly began following suit, only to disappear with Sonido and intercept him before he could make it out to the canopy. The hollow grinned devilishly at Hiro and lunged for it again, this time aiming to snare the shinigami with it's tentacles. It doesn't matter who they are, I'll ********' break em'.

As the hollow appeared in front of Hiro, a slight smile appeared on his face. Its getting very predictable. Time to change tactics. He thought. Shouting "Ryu Raikou, Grant me your power!" His second zanpakuto started glowing and electricity started emitting from the blade, as he charged straight toward the hollow attempting to hit it anywhere he could.

Kanpata winced as the shield took the hit. He did not recognize this ability either. He could not hold this much longer. "Kato, are you ready?" he asked, with barely a hint of nervousness. Years of experience with a person and zanpaktou tend to erase most doubts like that. An evil smile, uncharacteristically spread across Kato's face. "More than ready...In fact, I have a plan...Break!" As if on cue, the shield shattered, as Kanpata dematerialized, throwing up a cloud of dust and sending a body flying backwards into a tree. He got up and smiled. "Distraction? From what? No matter...because I will destroy you. You are like all the other enemies I have faced, arrogant and full of hate, and one by one all of them have bowed before me. You are no different..." He removed Kanpata from his sheath, and twirled it in complex patterns, as if warming up. Kanpata noticed Huang's disappearance and thought, "Only you....I thought you would be in the mood to fight though...To each his own..." As he was warming up, no one noticed that faint glow in his eye. He blinked, and just like that, it disappeared. His face grew serious. "Just one question before we start. What is your name?" He crouched into his signature fighting stance. He spent his whole life training his hand-to-hand combat. "Let's see if he was smart enough to notice the scars on my hands; my arms..."
Kanpata began to glow, as he snarled at the enemy. His last words to him was: "Let us fight, as never happened in all of recorded history." Kato replied, "Let us win."

xxxxBut still, my will is to [ F I G H T ] to defend everything at this ʀ ɛ a ʟ ɪ т ʏ Elisia had been waiting quite patiently for Kagayaki to respond although the most likely answer was no. When Kagayaki was seemingly doing nothing, she had muttered "Take flight, Huang" and then "Rukki Huang" under her breath very quietly, so that no-one near her would be able to hear her words clearly. There was no point in dallying about when your enemy was apparently very strong. She could tell that this girl had no ordinary strength. It was no surprise at all when Kagayaki had finally formed into a fighting stance and released what seemed like a mini cero from her fist. Lifting her hand, she directed the papers to form a massive barrier around her and made the particles clump together. After all, being the expert on her zanpaktou, changing the density or moving the papers were an effortless job. The papers cleared around her and settled around her. Hearing Kato's and Kagezume's words, she shook her head in irritation. A distraction? Was this a part of Hei's extremely intelligent idea to test the hollow's power on a Shinigami?
"Don't underestimate him." Elisia told Kato.
Kagezume seemed to be treating this as a sort of game. Stupid. Young one? How old was Kagezume and Kato anyway? Then again, people rarely liked to tell other people their age.
Staring at Kagayaki intently, her mind played with the papers around her, making them flutter one way and then the next. Opening her left hand, she whispered "Gather". As all the papers gathered in her hand, they formed a paper rose, the papers making each petal. Some sheets of paper were still left floating around her, just in case. An expressionless mask replaced her face. Lifting her hand up, she faced Kagayaki and said, "Disperse". Immediately, the papers broke away from the petals at an extremely fast rate, each like a needle, aiming for Kagayaki. Kagezume blinked then smirked. "Some Captain you are; can't even properly break a situation down when it is presented black and white to you." He jabbed his thumb in the direction of Hiro and the hollow. "Distraction from that, you idiot." Kagezume watched Kato play with his blade, as if it were supposed to impress and shook his head. "My name..." Kagezume turned into a mist-like substance, and took a swing at Kato's neck with his scythe, solidifying only the blade as he did so. It was a ridiculously fast swing, showing his prowess at using the weapon. "Is no concern of yours!" He cracked a smile then threw back his head and laughed.
Kagayaki cocked her head to the side as Elisia made her movements, she was feeling quite bored with waiting, yet was under orders to not do anything unnecessary. As Elisia's attack came towards her, she flicked her wrist, and several light beams, equal in number to the amount of projectiles Elisia had made, shot down them down. Vaporized was a more appropriate word, however, because these beams were akin to lasers. Her beams fizzed out the second they destroyed their initial target. "Is that really all the rest of the Gotei has to offer? Cheap tricks with paper?" She said into Elisia's mind as she lowered her own hand, letting it hang loosely at her side.
The hollow flashed a toothy grin at Hiro as he charged at it. It was a silly tactic, the hollow was descending and had more mass, it was going to win in a contest of brute force. But aside from that, it had a whole arsenal of abilities granted to him by various animals. Several smaller tentacles protruded from his back, whipped around his body and aimed to stab themselves into Hiro's body, all the while the hollow kept descending. It doesn't matter who they are, I'll ********' break em'.

Damn. Its not moving out of the way. Hiro thought the hollow would be scared of lightning considering its animal-like qualities, but when it charged him, he knew it wasn't. He quickly used his other zampakuto chain and slung it around a tree, switching his direction. His other zampakuto slowly stopped glowing as it wore off. I have to stay in the area, Elisia and Kato should get here any second after my signal. they should know to follow the smoke, right? Hiro didn't know they were caught up with their own problems. He started moving up again, but he knew this wouldn't last. Where are they?

"Well...." she stretched the word out for a long time, "I guess that I could work to my full potential, but I'm saving my strength."
Without a glance or thought to her own safety, she directed most of her papers with her hand towards Kato, forming a shield with her papers. It was in the nick of time too, just reaching it fast enough to break the blow. Satisfied that she had sufficiently annoyed Kagezume enough by shielding Kato from the blow, she turned back to Kagayaki. She smiled cheerfully, unperturbed by anything that had just happened.
"Anyway, show me what you can do!" Elisia sounded more like a child at Christmas than an experienced fighter.
Her eyes looked briefly away from the opponent, only enough to recognize the smoke a short distance away. Damn it. This was troublesome. The joyful smile wiped off her face. Apparently Hiro was in big trouble and did not realise that they had been caught up by Kagezume and Kagayaki. Moving the papers, she gathered them around her again. Injury to her was not a big problem, since she could always heal up later. Clumping the particles together, she sent a hail of dangerous needle-like papers towards the Hollow and also protected them with a barrier of dense paper. Her paper could easily cut through mostly everything and she hoped that it was the same for the Hollow.
"Hiro, we can't help you as much. We're a little busy..." she yelled in the general direction of Hiro's smoke.People have their [ O P I N I O N S ] about me but their words are always nothing but ʀ ц ӎ o ʀ s

While Elisia's papers might have done something to someone else's attack, Kagezume had the power of Ecophages, and his scythe was made of them, as was himself. His blade went right through them as his power consumed the paper. It was now assumed by him that by interfering and failing to protect even by a small amount, that Elisia had ensured Kato being hit. "That's not going to work, foolish girl!" He laughed again as he finished up his swing.
"I am not at liberty to show you my abilities, I am only here to stop you from interfering." She answered, repelling the attack thrown at the hollow with a barrier of condensed light. The attack would strike it, but shatter the barrier in the process as Kagayaki hadn't put much effort into it at all. "So if you would please stop this silliness and let what will happen, happen. As Hei-sama has planned for it to go. Hei-sama is law."
The hollow grabbed a tree as it descended, flipped around the trunk and used it's momentum to fling itself in Hiro's direction once more. It began shooting high-speed bala at him, using it's tentacles and feet for movement through the trees. It doesn't matter who they are, I'll ********' break em'.

"God, wont this thing quit?" Hiro muttered to himself, as he flung himself out of the way, and then used his chains to swing himself upwards another ten feet. "Eat this." he yelled at the hollow as he tossed five "sticky mines" all around him. They were an inch in diameter, covered with sticky glue, and would hopefully explode if it sensed spiritual pressure within 5 feet. He hoped they might take a branch out from under the hollow if it got to close, but he didnt seem too lucky at the moment. Thats the last of my explosives he thought bitterly. Then he heard the very thing he was expecting and dreading, Kato and Elisia are apparently tied up.... s**t. He needed to get away from this thing, something to buy him some time... Wheres that good for nothing lieutenant when you need him? He should be here by now, its been almost an hour... He started climbing the tree he had laid the mines by.

Her eyes looked at Kagezume and totally ignored Kagayaki's words as she cancelled her Bankai and sheathed her zanpaktou. She was tired of fighting and wasting her energy would be foolish.
"So what if it doesn't work?" she told him calmly, without a hint of her thoughts present in her voice, "It doesn't really matter, does it? I have trust in him that he can take care of himself, I was just acting on my impulses for once."
It was true, since she was seriously not worried about Kato's ability to look after himself. Hiro was the current problem here, since that Hollow would be annoyingly powerful against him. She sighed and stared back at Kagayaki.
"I really can't be bothered and there is seriously no point so let's stop fighting. What's your name?" she answered, with the air of someone inquiring something about a long lost friend.
She knew that as a Captain for the Gotei 13, she should be more focused and willing to fight but there was seriously no point. Fighting against people was so tiresome. She smiled at Kagayaki, her mood completely changed from her serious manner to her more joyous mood.
"How long are you supposed to distract me for, anyway?" she asked, curious to see what Hei was planning for them.People have their [ O P I N I O N S ] about me but their words are always nothing but ʀ ц ӎ o ʀ s

Kato flinched, expecting his lapse in concentration to be blocked by the paper. It wasn't. In the little time he had, he swung his head back, throwing rest of his body almost parallel to the floor. He didn't get far enough back though, and the scythe just clipped the top of his forehead, shearing off a few small pieces of hair. Kato quickly completed his revolution, as he came to a stop just outside of the scythe's deadly reach. He touched his forehead where the scythe had managed to hit. There was pain, but no blood from where he was feeling. "Good, just a graze...." he thought. "I don't really want to figure out what his special abilities are that way..." He looked to Hiro in the distance. " His left eye shined for a bit, and a 'clone' of Kato dropped out of the tree and ran towards Hiro. "Sorry, that's the best I can do," he called out. He turned back to the figure and cocked his head slowly. "You're more advanced than I thought. I won't underestimate you twice." He settled down into a crouching position. He thought to himself, "I can't send out another clone. It's hard enough keeping concentration as is."[Meh. Woozy from anesthetic. >.>]

Kagezume shouldered his weapon and laughed. "Shouldn't have done it the first time. Then again, your underestimation of me makes this all the more amusing." Kagezume "misted" himself, an act that basically meant he went intangible like mist for a brief period of time, and swooped next to Kato, exactly like darkness. He didn't waste time from the moment he appeared next to him, before arcing his scythe back and swinging again, aiming for his waist this time around. He didn't complete the swing though, because he misted again, this time appearing behind him and taking a swing at the top of his head, aiming to split him down the middle.
Kagayaki blinked at Elisia and shook her head. "Surely you can't expect me to listen to your requests when you won't even pay attention to me. Focusing more on your lover than I, even though you claim to not worry about him. I worry about those that contradict themselves, for their logic is often flawed. Flawed logic often leads to bad plans and bloodshed as well." Kagayaki flipped her hair back and flexed her fingers, returning her attention to Elisia's question of not fighting. "As I told you before, I am simply here to stop you from interfering. I have no interest in fighting a child such as yourself, though I will if it comes down to it. And as my partner said to your boyfriend over there, my name is of no concern to you." Kagayaki looked back at Elisia's mostly devoid of emotion and waited. "I'll keep you busy until Hei-sama dictates otherwise. She said in closing.
The hollow shrieked in response and clambered after him, only to be caught in an explosion of sorts. The explosion kicked up fair amounts of dust, and would also crack the tree Hiro was on to a certain degree, enough to make it tip. Within the dust, the singed hollow shrieked in pain, but did not give up, it was filled only with the desire to eat. It had lost a tentacle or two, but nothing too serious, it's tough scales had taken care of most of the damage, but his body was a bit charred. It arced it's main tentacle upward, kicked the base of the tree Hiro was climbing, causing it to start to tip even more, which would inevitably cause Hiro to slip a little, then unleashed a giant cero in his direction from it's tail.
It doesn't matter who they are, I'll ********' break em'.

Hiro was surprised the mines even worked, but he had no time to think about it. He saw the hollow fall, but there was too much dust to see anything else. Its probably gonna come back after me again, i need to get out of this dust. he thought while looking for another tree to jump to. I cant just keep running, ill eventually run out of energy, and if that blast did anything to it i might have a chance. He unlatched the zampakuto on his left arm from its chain as the tree shook, which sent him tumbling off the tree. Startled, he looked for a branch within reach as he plummeted, and not finding one he used his air walk to slow his decent a second before hitting the ground. As he touched down the cero blasted the tree incinerating where he had previously stood. Wow, that was lucky.... he thought before directing his eyes toward the direction of the cero and muttering "Ryu Raikou, Grant me your power" as he waited for the hollow. His left hand zampakuto started glowing again.
