Also, i wonder what will happen to the talent "Hunting Party" when Cat comes out? Hunters lose mana so there's no sense in having an ability that procs mana regen. i hope it becomes a full-on regen. warriors get 10% haste rage, rogues get the same on energy. dks runepower. it would make surv hunters one of those sought after class specs for grouping. kinda like how you get a little bushy tailed when you group a hunter and see that lovely little white arrow in the top letting you know your AP just popped up 10%.

your not thinking about the fact that without at least 2 points in hunting party, your mana consumption will cost you dps due to the fact that you constantly either run out of mana which screws you shot rotation or you have to pop to viper which kills you dps by a ton anyways and once you do that you wont be on top of the meters period.... unless your runnin with scrubs that is. the ideal surv spec utilizes this talent due to raid benefit as a whole and most importantly keeping your ability to keep your rotation through out an entire fight rather then waste a pot or pop viper... its a known fact by all pro hunters. now you shouldnt even have a problem with dps or mana if you speced right * bother your and your pet *

on another note, Marks is an ok spec.. awesome burst dps since you have available 5 instant cast shots at your disposal.. but in return you mana consumption is 1 1/2 times * if not slightly more * mana consumption then survival. thus you have no choice but o use your 1 mana pot and use viper.. not too bad if the encount mob or boss has tons of mana then you just use viper sting and wyvern sting to get a bit back. never the less it comes down to what is most efficient. now in most boss encounters you dont reach top dps unless you have hella haste and arm pen as marks since when you hit a certain amount of both, your shot rotation makes a change so you make higher dps by switching arcane with constant steady shots. on a moving situation you pop instant shots * arc, aimed, wyvern in its own movement rotation til you can stay still again and continue the norm rotation. personally from sever tests run by myself and the others at elitistjerks.com survival is the number 1 spec for raiding.. not just as a hunter but the whole raid does better. now no matter what if your in a guild that utilizes 2 or more hunters obviously 1 hunter neeeeeeeeeeds to be marks for trueshot aura.. with that your set as a raid and most beneficial to surv since now you go even more AP from all procs by 25% of the addition agi procs from expose weakness, * cat ability that raises yours and your pets AP by another 10%*, and if you got darkmoon card greatness...omfg pwn pretty much. the overall benefit is SOARING above marks drastically when you crunch the numbers hands down. you really cant beat it =)

you do realize that not everyone plays the game the exact same way and some of us dont think you HAVE to use the spec/gear/glyphs that hunterblogs tell them to.
and my comment about hunting party was just a question as to what will become of it, nothing more. i personally love it and i think of it as a tiny little help for casters

and, yes, volley does have a lot to do with trash dps, especially nowadays. if you read the post before it i was using it as a comparison to lower trash dps and then the spike in boss dps.

as for my stats, so ******** what? i was grabbing whatever the hell i could and thats what happens when you dont spend every waking hour wondering whether or not your gear is top shelf. the funny thing is the fact that the one thing you didnt b***h about was the one thing that's my problem, i got WAAAAY too goddamn much hit rating. i was spamming it for bgs and didnt realize i was past the cap till i had 16%

i are blood elf hunter with pet named mana but right now i frozen my account for a little so to morrow i will re activate it and start playing again

Level 80 Night Elf hunter. Brand new to this forum here.

I have a couple of cool Elite pets, but lately I have been using a dumb old gorilla because I was told that Tenacity pets are really the best unless you do big raids or solo.... I usually go in the middle, with 2-4 members of my Guild.
Supposedly Tenacity pets hold the Aggro best.

Any thoughts? Any suggestions on a cool Tenacity pet?

And any hints on getting a Spirit Cat would be GREATLY appreciated!!! smile
