"Too late," Seraphim giggled from where she lay across Carda's shoulder. Carda rolled his eyes.
"I think she has a point," Carda commented.
"NOW, buster!" echoed Xironielle's voice from a considerable distance down the road.
"Pray for me, would ya?" Carda pleaded as he stepped out into the wintry afternoon.

Sosiqui blinked again. How on earth would he know if she even did that...?
Probably from the piece he knew. "Okay," she said, simply, holding the door open and watching them go, forehead wrinkled slightly in concern.
