I think Avatar The Last Airbender is the best cartoon ever. And I think thats what it should stay... a cartoon. Not only are they messing up the story line... but they made Katara and Sokka PALE and Zuko TANNED. I think that cosplayers should star in the Avatar movie, at least we'll look right.

I agree. They don't exactly look like whom they're playing but I'm going to watch it anyway.

So am I. And did you see Aang! He looks too serious AND his arrow is weird. I hope at least we have a cameo of Cabbage Man and Aang's Frothy Fangirl Man.

Yes, Aang's arrow does look odd like that.

I'm sorry to say this, but Avatar:The Last Airbender is an anime, not a cartoon.

Okay. According to a valid source, Jackson Rathbone when portraying Sokka, isn't going to be funny like his cartoon counterpart. That's not to say he won't crack a few jokes here or there but he definitely won't be as funny as cartoon Sokka. His role is taken a lot more seriously sadly. Azula will not be making a major appearance in this movie as well (it's rumored she'll be at the end though taking some orders from Fire Lord Ozai). Some of the original stuff is still in the movie, which is good. Appa is there and Momo should be there as well. Finally there's one thing I thought that was pretty cool... Noah Ringer has been a karate champion since like the age of 7 and he's about... 12 or so now? A lot of the form and movement you'll see in the movie may be his own. Though anything extreme is obviously done by a stunt double.

Avatar: The Last Airbender is not an anime. It's a cartoon TV series viewed on Nickelodeon and/or other channels, or websites. And, yes. I do want it to stay a cartoon. 3nodding

There's going to be 3 movies?! WOOHOO! I'm so happy now! I wanted to see Toph in the movie so badly, but now, since I now there's going to be 3 movies, I know she'll be in at least one of them!

I'm divided on the movie, actually. I think this will be like most movies based on series; horrible if compared to the series, but a good stand alone movie. The cast (in my opinion) seems really off from the characters they're supposed to play, but I'm kind of glad Zuko's scar is realistic rather than just a red mark. On a strangely positive note, if the movie ends up horrible, we'll only love the series more. As for the plot itself, I've been playing the game released by the producers, and it seems that the plot has been completely altered. Yes, Aang is still the Avatar. Yes, Sokka and Katara find him. Yes, Aang is still an airbender, but there's a whole slew of things that for me ruin the plot (Like the fact that he seems to know a whole lot of waterbending right off the bat.) I don't know for sure if the game follows the movie completely, but it seems like they're going to be stretching out the chase between Aang and the Fire Nation in the very beginning (before they even decide to leave for the Northern Water Tribe). Either way, the movie will an interesting take on the series. Good? Maybe. Only time will tell.

the cast duz kinda suck, especially how they got the guy from slumdog millionaire (dev patel) to play zuko. they were gonna have jesse mcartney play him, but he was on tour rolleyes . but im not all tht hyped about the cast, just the plot and storyline and action. usually wen watching a movie, i try to remember the character theyre playing. but it looks really good and i know that it will be an awesome movie tht'll raise my addiction to avatar exponentionally biggrin

basically sokka isnt gonna run around yelling it's a GIANT MUSHROOM! oh and producer frank marshall did a nice job with smacking us across the face by flat out saying the movie is inspired by the cartoon, not a copy of it -__-'
