"Or capable of making an easy escape." His eyes becoming stern, he looks to Indrid. "I will go to investigate. My ability to hide in the shadows will conceal me, and being able to move through them should give me a means of escape."

"I'll go as your backup. Bring J'valia with you. Sin, you've seen the landscape before, haven't you? Come with us, you know the lay of the land probably more then any of us." He nodded to each of them. "Let's go."

Looking to Sin, he nodded in agreement. He knew of the dangers, but he could conceal himself better than most of them. With Sin's own tactical knowledge and Indrid's capabilities in fighting, they were already well prepared. The Halfbreed was like a wild card for the 'just in case' matter. Watching the sky lessen with the snows as the Halfbreed used here power, he took a deep breath and jumped off the balcony of the main doorway, landing on the snow covered ground and ready to move.

((Got a meeting to pull off, so I'm going to be AFK for about an hour. Sorry in advance))

J'Valia jumped down aols, but followed at a slower pace then Indrid. Sh figured they'd wait, and if not, she had no problem passing through the portal herself. She saw Indrid running, and contemplated flying just so she could beat him. But her since of fairness caught up with her, and she walked instead.

"Hmm...?"She looked up, and saw that Sin had appeared next to her. "No... I Think I'm fine. But would you mind staying next to me? I'm still feeling a little faint from changing the weather." She said with a laugh.

Sin was caught off guard when she asked him to stay by her side. No one had ever requested his company. Not once. Not even for the meetings at the base. If they did, it was usually for a few seconds then he could leave, which he always did. He nodded his head and looked forward to look ahead. He noticed how far they were from the portal. They weren't too far but still had a little ways to go. He looked through his peripherals and noted J'Valia's appearance. She was fairly attractive. He had to admit. But he pushed the notion out of his mind. Don't even think about it, Sin. He thought. She's off limits. Besides...it wouldn't work out anyways. He cleared his throat with a sigh and adjusted his pace to match hers and soon, they were walking together.

He then saw Indrid jump through the portal. As he did, he sighed heavily. Impatient boy.. He thought. You're gonna get yourself killed. Without thinking, he picked J'Valia up. "Soory about this." He said, and started running to get to the portal. He kept his head up as he ran to make sure he didn't look down at her. He didn't want to get attached. Soon, he reached the portal. So, he put her down, and tapped a few keys on his touchpad and tried to reach Indrid.

J'valia laughed as sin carried her. It had been a long time since she could simply epend on someone else. With a start she realized it was sort of nice. She smiled. "Its fine." She said.

When sin set her down she took a moment to her self. the lag was gone, and she was feeling perfectly fine. Gladly, she jumped through the portal.

She emerged from her room where she had been for the past few days recuperating from a recent skirmish against some demons on Earth. Even with her healing capabilities, an injury still kept Sydney out of commission for two days. Stretching her arms up over her head, the Cambion headed down through the halls. She was looking for someone, anyone, to give her an update on the situation so she could finally do something. Right now, Syd would give anything to be sent back to Earth to find some demons to take out her annoyances on.
