J'valia shook her head. He was gone beofore she could say no.
She turned to Indrid. Lesser demons were around her more and more the closer they got. She shuddered. They were still a good distance, but it was best to get the plan strait now. When she spoke it was a low hum, meant only for her parties ears. "We need to get inside the gate. My persuasive technigues might work on a lesser demon, but I doubt they would leave someone that weak watching the entrance. Any ideas?"

"Alastor can get in." He sighed. "I can't disguise myself, neither can you." He looked around at the demons. One got to close and Indrid shot a chunk of ice at its throat. It made a silent gurgling sound and when it was on the floor, Indrid made his hands frozen and crushed the head of the beast. He spit on it and looked around, making sure no one else saw it.

She nodded to Alastor. "Sin went in. If you see hime, tell him to get back out here, please. If I see you runiing out of the gates screaming Bloody Murder, I'm going to assume something wnet wrong." She looked at Indrid. "So I guess we wait here for them to return?" She turned and went to stand next to one of the boulders. "Unless you have another idea?" She asked causually.

As odd as this seemed, Indrid wanted to take the time to get to know J'valia. "No, no I'll stay out here." he said smiling at her.

"Good!" J'valia sighed and let out a breath of releif. She fell down and sat in front of the boulder on the ground. Absentmindedly she started to braid some of her hair. Then she realized what she was doing and stoped. She shookk the braid out, and one of her horns hit the boulder. It resounded against her head, and she grabbed at the horn with both of her hands. "Ow... That was pretty stupid..."

Indrid looked at her and laughed. "Why'd you stop?" he asked curiously. He heard a rustling sound and began to cast but it was just the wind. He sighed and fell back against the boulder. Staring at the halfbreed. He noticed what he was doing and stopped, and turned the other way

J'valia laughed. "It hurt. My Horns are connected directly to my skull." She said as a way of explanation. Then she realized he was talking about the braiding. "Oh, the braid." She held up her wrists. "No hair ties." She said with a smile. Then she noticed the age old scars and quickly covered her wrists back up with her sleeves. "Since I couldn't tie it up, It would have come undone anyways.... Plus its a sort of nervous tic I thought I had lost."

Sin thought he'd heard all he needed from this meeting. So, he slowly turned and started going back down the corridor. Once he'd rounded the corner, he materialized to normal once again. He snuck into a nearby room and sat, with his back against the door. He panted silently. Staying in his mist transformation for a long time took a lot of concentration and generally a lot of energy. After a few moments, he gathered himself. I have to tell the others what I heard. He thought. He noticed the fortress had a window. "Hmm...." He re-misted and floated out of the window in a long wisp of mist. He noticed a group of demons in the distance approaching the rest of his group. Not today. He thought. He raised a fog that enveloped his group and the group of demons. He materialized amongst the fog in the middle of the demon group. He looked at them all with a deadly look. They surrounded him and snarled. He smirked, and waved them over in a come and get me motion. The battle began. There were five of them. One tried to assault Sin from behind. Sin launched his wings out from his back. It hurt him a little as he let out a rather loud grunt, but it hurt the demon even more, knocking him cold to the ground. He wondered if his comrades heard the noise. Sin conjured a sword from the moisture of the fog and penetrated the skull of the unconscious demon. He turned around and looked at the remaining demons. His eyes were glowing an eerie yellow hue, as he stared them down, waiting for the next attack.

"Connected to your skull? Ouch.." he said shuddering. "Must be a pain in the a**.." Suddenly a fog surrounded them. "What the hell?" he said, standing up and creating a ball of fire to light the way. He saw Sin fighting demons. "Sin!" he yelled and quickly threw the ball of fire at the nearest demon, his face melting from his skull.

J'valia stood up, pulling the scythe from her back in one quck fluid movement. Her wings burst from her back, dripping in blood, and she raced forward, swinging viciously at the closest demon. The head lopped off neatly, and it rolled a few feet before stopping. The body stood up, still for a moment, then plummeted to the ground.

Sin jumped and turned, just in time to see a demon's head get melted. Then, he saw J'valia racing toward him. "Stay back!" He hissed. The fog got thicker. So thick that you couldn't see an inch in front of you. But Sin could. He could see as plain as day. He made short work of the remaining demons who were scared out of their mind, feeling blindly around. He came to one and sliced it clean in half with a blade of water from his gourd. Then, he roundhouse kicked another demon and stabbed it through the heart with his own fist. The last demon was so scared that it was curled up in a fetal position. Sin approached it and stood over it. His eyes glowing eerily. He knelt down next to it and hushed at it. It saw his eyes and saw his expression. Sin put a finger on his lips and hushed. The demon seemed to quiet down. Sin closed the demons eyes, then bit into it's throat tearing at it. The fog started to roll away and the scene of carnage was revealed. Sin was still feeding off the demon when the fog cleared.

Indrid dropped the ball of fire he held in his hand with his jaw open. "Wow." he said looking at the carnage. "So uh..what did you find?" he asked, sidestepping away from a body that seemed to be semi-alive.

J'valia simply looked away from the bodies. "We should move before we talk. They'll see this soon enough, and start looking. But not to far. We need to wait for Alastor." She stated matter of factly.

"Just grab him and bring him here." He said, slightly jealous. He tried to shake the thoughts away. He saw more demons approaching, snarling and growling. "Quickly!" he said, in a hushed tone.

"You two just get to the portal then. We'll discuss when we get home." She called heading to get Alastor. She pulled at him motioning for him to follow, and headed for the portal.
