"Just don't upset her. I hate it when she's upset, you can't tell her anything." He rolled his eyes at his father's words but had been intending to do so all along. It really had been out of line for him to break her Ipod like that. He knew how much she adored that stupid thing. Getting up, he headed downstairs to find his sister and shrugged to a stop before her. "I'm sorry, Lici. Sorry for breaking your Ipod, for yelling at you, and for knocking you in the face."
"Because he knew he wasn't supposed to have it. Just like you knew what our answer would be when you asked." Sam shook her head. "No, Felicity. I think you need to tell your brother you're sorry for instigating a fight and try and work this out. You have a bed and that's where you need to sleep. You can't just run away everytime someone does something you don't like. Eventually you have to deal with things and now is as good a time as any." Nodding as her son walked up and promptly laid out all his sins.

Well then she was going to sleep facing the wall because she didn't want to deal with him. At all. If anything she was stubborn when she got into a mood. Though it seemed it was time for apologies whether anyone meant them or not. "I'm sorry for jumping on you." Because that's all she owed him. His stupid earring was moot at this point. And she wasn't going to fix her iPod either, she was going to mope about it for a few days.
"Son, most women are like that, you'll come to know that well as you get older." But look it was apology time and merely watched as they did the right thing over the preferred thing. "So can we all be civil now so your mother and I can do grown up things this evening, or do we all have to sit in our rooms still?"

"No you're not but I forgive you anyway." Rolling his eyes. Why'd she have to be like that? He had apologized like he was supposed to and then she had to take that snotty tone with him that he hated. "Whatever." Turning and stalking back upstairs.
"Well, that's better. Lici you need to pick up the pieces of your Ipod so the dogs don't eat them. You know how curious Mercury gets." It wasn't ideal but she knew that the twins had to work out their own problems. And she personally agreed with Toby. Lici was definitely the drama queen in the family, though where she'd gotten that from, Sam had no clue.

"Well you're not either." Crossing her arms with a huff and moving off to go pick up her iPod pieces that Mercury was indeed sniffing at. "You can't eat those...daddy will be mad if he has to take you to the vet for swallowing something new again." But since they weren't agreeing that meant she headed back upstairs to their room and plopped on her bed. Those were the rules. You stayed in your room until you were civil.
"I'm going to take that as a no." Sighing he shook his head and turned a look to his wife as the twins made their own choices for the time being. "Well, I know manly troubles, did you figure anything out?"

He glanced over at his sister and rolled his eyes then grabbed the remote controller and turned his music up, mostly to annoy her but also because he really didn't want her in his room but they still shared so he couldn't kick her out.
"Well, I don't care how they act. I'm not being cut out of grown up time just because they choose to act childish." Moving to her husband and wrapping her arms around him then resting her forehead against his chest. "She doesn't understand Toby's current attitude and it irritates her. He's always mad at her or says she's being mean when she swears she isn't. They don't understand each other anymore. What is wrong with Toby?"

"He's facing the time that every boy does when he realizes that nature engineered woman to mature faster than men. She's taller, stronger, and what not right now than him and she's always tried to protect him. However as you know in Man Land, we don't appreciate that happening to us and we like to mock whomever it is happening too. Call this all a matter of growing pains." Wrapping his arms around her and patting at her back some. "Maybe it's time to give them their own rooms too. They're too different at the moment to really agree on things and by the sound of volume, they're doing it on purpose now.

"He's gotten tired of being stepped on, too. I knew it would happen sooner or later. He's not a stupid boy or socially inept. Just quiet and introspective and very, very smart." Shaking her head. "He can't be the only boy going through this. There's other fraternal twins like them at that school." It was difficult to watch your baby boy be treated that way and not be able to do anything about it, though. "Did you pat his ego and share man talk with him? I've been thinking about suggesting separate rooms for a while now. They're growing up so fast...can't be in each other's space forever."

"Yeah but its' all an age bracket thing with kids this young. They don't want to be called a baby or anything and hanging out becomes a delicate things. His best friends are all girls too. But yes, we had Man Talk and if he was older we would have had a drink too." Nodding, "No they can't. When they're being civil we'll tell them and they can think on how they want to claim space."

"They might actually take it better since they're fighting so much now. Can't be fun to be in someone's space when you know they want nothing more to slam their fists into your face." Snuggling against him and then entwining their fingers. "Just because our children can't behave doesn't mean we can't have our scheduled evening. We'll just have it at home instead of out and about like we'd planned. Come along, Mr. Calder. I have a surprise for you and it's rated R." Kissing him and then leading him back upstairs to their room.

"Well then, we'll start that this week. They'll enjoy the surprise." Grinning at her as he followed/playfully started to stalk her up the stairs at her words. "Late night pizza and candlelight? Sounds like a good idea to me." Chuckling though he gave a snicker snort. "R? Aw, I was hoping for something more NC-17. Bet I can convince you." Waggling his eyebrows at her before giving her a one fanged lopsided grin, the two of them disappearing into their room as their children wouldn't be leaving their room anytime soon, trying to best one another.
