Vincent came to the gates and laid down Hiniko onto the soft grass. He looked around and saw how there were dozens upon dozens of people around. They were the villagers that had been evacuated and some of them been thrown out of their homes by the Nine Tailed Fox.
He shook his head because history had repeated itself for Vincent. Holding Hiniko in his arms he kissed her once again.
"History has repeated itself." he said aloud.

Hiniko returned the kiss and looked at him curiously trying not to look at he sad faces of the others around. "repeated itself?" she asked. she didn't nderstand.

Vincent looked down at HIniko and then back to Konohakagure the place that had become his new home.
"Back where I came from," Vincent began, "Home by the Water, we were devestated by one series of natural disasters after another. The disasters were horrible but what happened after that was worse. The people there, starving and broken, they beat each other, murdered each other, stole, and despised one another. People who were once friends and neighbors. Including my mother. They beaten her and raped her. I stood by and watched as they did it. Powerless to do anything. And here I am once again, my home being destroyed by this beast and I can't do anything to stop it."

Hiniko listened to him shocked. She hadn't known that. She felt so bad for him.She sat up again and held his hand. "Don't take this out on yourself. You did do something. You helped to save a lot of peoples lives, mine included." She gave him a soft smile. "It's very important that you saved people. And you may be able to help more people later. Your not powerless" Her voice sounded strained because she knew this event had to hurt him, that and her head was pounding. "I'm sorry about what happened to your home" she said in a low tone. so his childhood was rough to. Atlest I only had to watch my father die. Mother died while I was gone. she thought to herself. She wished she could make him feel better.

Vincent wrapped his arms around Hiniko and held her close and he began to allow tears roll out of his closed eyes but he made no sound to his sadness.
"I may not be powerless," Vincent whispered, "But I promise that I will become stronger if only for you."

Hiniko willingly leaned against him. He was comforting, and she was doing her best to comfort him. She could feel the tears drip onto her hair and she knew she couldn't cry yet. Not yet. His promise to become stronger for her made her feel strong in her own way. No matter what happened to her she had to stay strong for him to. And Zin. Because no matter how much either wanted to protect her, she wanted the same for them.
"And I you" she commented.

Hearing that resolve from Hiniko, Vincent leaned down to kiss her again as he watched all the homes and buildings of Konohakagure in ruin and still burning with the nine-tailed-fox still hunkered over it as if the village was a rabbit that it was chewing on. It's tails whipping around in the skies above and it made Vincent tremble to think that such a beat truly exists in this world. The part that made it the most frightening to him was how there were others just like it out there.
He held Hiniko close and prayed in his mind, "Come on, Hokage...do something quick."

Hiniko stayed leaning against Vincent. She had closed her eyes trying to calm down her headache a little. She knew her and Vincent were safe and now her thoughts were on Zin. She hadn't seen him in a while and she was worried about him. She wanted to get up and look for him but Vincent most likely wouldn't let her and it was still relativly hard for her to walk strate. She opened her eyes and thought it was worth a try. "we need to find Zin" Hiniko commented looking around. "I'm worried about him."

"I know you want to look for him, love," Vincent said, "But I don't think we should risk it. Both given what you've suffered and what's out there but you are right in that was have to find Zin. Can you stand up?"

Hiniko noded. "I know but it doesn't matter to me wha'ts going on. Zin is our friend and teammate. We need him" when he asked if she could stand she thought a moment "Ya I should be able to" she replied grabing his arm to use it as leverage incase she fell. She didn't think she would though. This was just another way of Hiniko showing how hard headed and determined she was.

Hiniko sighe tiredly. "you didn't have to follow" she said sensing small hesitation. Maybe it was just herself.

Hiniko gave him a thankfull smile then looked around. "what do we do?" she asked. Everyone she hoped was safe here...

Suou had rolled up his sleeves, revealing an intricate sealing tattoo on each arm. He was merely examining them and making sure he could still activate his Sumoning Contract with them. The strap that he had over his left eye was unbuckled and his Ocular Augmentation was visible. He was truly an odd sight to behold. No headband could be located on this man. Is he a rouge? A traveler? What is he? Suou continued towards the gates and noticed a couple of Shinobi speaking with one another. He payed them little attention, but was cautious in case they attacked. Leaf was obviously on edge right now.
