Lucretia opened the door to let everyone in before Kumoru could even think of digging out his keys. The Raevan seemed tense like everyone else, and beckoned to them all to come inside.

"Nothing happened while you were gone, Daddy," Lucretia told the necromancer hurriedly as he stepped inside with Aylana. The Raevan moved to his side and rested her hands on his arm, and gave Aylana a decidedly blank stare before she inquired, "Do you need me to get anything?"

When the Ice Rose girl touched him, Kumoru flinched ever so slightly, even though the cold of her hands was dulled by the fabric of his robes. "Ah, just a glass of water, for me, please. Aylana, do you need anything?"

"Which chair do you wanna sit in, Mom?" Bhel pointed at the sofa with his free hand. "The couch is comfier than the other chair, but if you sit right in the middle the cushion sorta eats you."

Aylana glances at Lucretia, giving her a small nod "I'm alright, thank you though." pulling away from both Kumoru and Bhel. She moves towards the couch, to take a seat on the end cushion. Pulling her knees up, she slips her feet under her bottom as she lays her head back. Taking in a slow deep breath, she wipes at her face alittle with the sleeve to her shirt. Hoping her face no longer look like she been crying all day, she smiles to Bhel.

"Why don't you come sit with me Bhel? That way Kumoru can relax and not worry about you for a moment?" looking towards Kumoru, she smiles to him "Or would you like my help making that pizza?"

Before Aylana even finished asking, Bhel climbed onto the sofa beside her, and rested his head against her arm... carefully, of course, since he did still have his horns. He let his hooved feet dangle off the front, and he peered down at them as he kicked them a little, one at a time.

Kumoru followed Lucretia into the kitchen while Aylana sat down, and went first into the freezer and then into one of the cabinets. There was the sound of a pizza stone being set gently onto the counter, the beeping of an oven, then the rustle of packaging, all with the soft rushing of a running faucet in the background.

"Ah, thank you, but I can handle this one myself," the necromancer called to her. "It'll just be about twenty minutes once I get it in the oven."

Once he had his glass of water and the oven was warming, Kumoru stepped into the living room as well, and leaned against the door frame with one arm.

A few moments later, Lucretia appeared at his side, and remained hovering there, glancing between her father and the two Fa'e.

Slipping her arm around Bhel, Aylana hugs him as she glances around. It been a long time since she been inside this home. Last she been here, she and Kumoru almost kissed. Shaking her head, she blocks that from her mind, as this wasn't the time to even think about that. Beside Kumoru made it clear to her, they were friends.

Brushing a kiss against Bhel's hair, she looks at Kumoru "My Aunt...she was a vampire. Kumoru...I don't think..." she doesn't finish what she was saying. As she knew deep down, there wouldn't be any saving her.

Squirming a little against his mother's side to free up his arm, Bhel pulled out Kumoru's cell phone again and flipped it open. Chubby fingers navigated the menus to get to the photos, and the boy studied the pair of pictures again.

"Mom, can you send the other pictures?" he asked after a minute.

Kumoru frowned, glancing away as he brushed his ponytail forward over his left shoulder, then started to remove his armored shoulder guard. Now that he had seen the Chaos stuck all over the Fa'e headquarters, he was not convinced the armor would protect him.

And he had a feeling that Aylana was right, too, about her aunt. The necromancer knew more of ghosts, spirits, and wraiths than vampires, though he had studied all the undead at least a little ... but all of the research into souls and the like had referred only to humans. The chance to try to restore Aylana's aunt would likely have yielded important information, but it seemed decidedly insensitive to insist upon trying.

"Alright," he sighed, tugging off his bracers and handing them and his shoulder armor to Lucretia, who wordlessly but smilingly took the items upstairs.

Glancing at her son, Aylana nods as she flips her own phone open once again. Flipping to the menu marked as pictures, she scans over the few she had. One after another, she selects them all until she has her own as well as Naolin's and Nyoka in one messages. Hitting send, she flips her phone close as she smiles to Bhel "There, you should have the ones I have shortly."

Glancing up at Kumoru, she watches him for a moment before looking away. Her eyes turning back towards her son. She was grateful that Kumoru wanted to help, even if she knew it couldn't be done. Leaning back, she rest her hands on her stomach as she thinks over her own little paper.

Bhel nodded slowly and started at the phone in his hands until the screen went dark, then frowned and leaned to peer at his mother's phone. After a few more seconds, he flipped Kumoru's phone shut.

"Why does it takes so long from the pictures to go from there to there?" he asked, pointing first at Aylana's cell, then at his own ... which buzzed suddenly as the "new message" icon popped up on the outside screen.

Relieved of his armor except for the stiff wide cincher around his waist, the necromancer settled into the chair that sat at a right angle to the sofa, and crossed his arms as he studied the room's coffee table in thought. At the buzzing of his cell phone, he looked up again, and smiled faintly at Bhel and Aylana.

"Well, I can offer you space to stay here, if you would like, Aylana," Kumoru told her. "If nothing else, we may be safer if we stay together. I can make space for your guardian, as well, if she is able to join us...?" He could hardly accommodate all of the Fa'e, but at least Bhel and Aylana would not be out there alone. If the others found some other place to gather, then they would move there.

Aylana ran her fingers through Bhel's hair, a smile forming over her face as she watch her son. He reminded her so much of herself at that age, when the world seem so simple. She couldn't help but want it to remain that way for him. A life where he didn't have to deal with pain, like she had. Shaking her head, she sighs to herself. Even she knew this wasn't going to happen.

Not the life of a Fa'e child.

Looking up at Kumoru, Aylana looks his face over for a moment. Her lips part only for a moment "Thank you Kumo, I would love to stay. If only long enough to clear my mind. Then I will head home and check on my mother." she knew her mother would be safe with her step father, but she still had to check on her anyways.

"Then I will come back here, just so I don't have to be alone. If its okay with you, that is...?"

"I have a small interior room I can offer you, if you do not mind a small place without windows. There's an air mattress in there, and a dresser and space for your belongings," he told her, then added after a moment, "Or you can stay in Bhel's room, if you would like."

He stood up, smoothing his hands over his robes. "If you're ready to get up, I can show you the room now. Staying together is probably the best idea for now, and you can rest assured that I will do what I can with my magic to keep this place safe."

Lucretia drifted back into the room then, and perked up at her father's words, spreading her glowing wings. "It's my job to protect this place; you can count on me, too!" she stated with confidence, and gave a thumbs-up.

"Stay in my room, Mommy?" Bhel said softly, looking up at Aylana. "The air mattress will fit and I have extra blankets and pillows." He glanced at Lucretia, then back at his mother. "I can help protect you, too."
