"Sea foam?"
Almost automatically, he grasped his brother's hand. Ashdel turned his head to look where his brother indicated, and his eyebrows rose at the sight. First of all, what was sea foam? He guessed it was the white substance that seemed to bunch up on the edge of the sand, but why did it do that? Curiosity got the better of him, and he forgot about their plan to sneak away from Yysida for a short moment.
"I wonder what it feels like?" he thought aloud, bringing his lantern up to his chest. "Or tastes like, even... mother, can we go touch it?" He looked over his shoulder to his mother, eyes pleading. "We'll only be a moment, I promise. Right, Larkin?" He nodded firmly at his brother, looking for support.

Loki tilted his head, pondering Haveni's answer. Before he could question her further, however, she was gone, returning to her group. Well, best not to bother her anymore; he never did like competing with others for attention. He rolled a shoulder, feeling it pop. It was time to find someone new to heckle!
Bounding through the town, he watched and took in the people again. The stands were all very tempting, and more than once did he stop to stare, to see what they had to offer. More than once, too, did he fill his pockets with a trinket or piece of food. It was now, as he hummed down the street, that he chewed lazily on a piece of bread, no doubt having been procured dishonestly.
He was pleasantly surprised when his wanderings (again) brought him to behold another lone Moonfolk. He studied Roen with great interest, chewing slowly on his bread with a thoughtful look. She seemed to be quite perturbed at something, and although one's senses would generally tell them not to approach such a creature... well, Loki wasn't normal by many means.
Footfalls lessening to light steps, now, to avoid frightening her the best he could, Loki began to approach Roen. He was almost treating this as a bit of a game, a smile curving his lips. When he was about five feet away (five was a good number, he felt; a good number), he extended his hand, bread grasped loosely in his fingers, and adopted a surprisingly soft tone.
"Why, hello there," he crooned, studying her. She looked to be a creature of the night, to be certain, but what was she doing out in the day, then? Perhaps she had wandered from her home, and the sunlight was blinding her and causing her to be in such a state. Well, only one way to find out.
"Little female, would you like some bread?" he asked, feet angled in such a way to allow him a quick escape, should he need it.

Sobs dying down to sniffles, the homunculi tried to wipe away the tears that still marred her face. Someone was going to help her. They had a plan and it made sense. Being too new to this place, it wasn't a surprise she hadn't thought of anything like it. She began to feel more confident. Eyes dry, and face free of tear tracks she looked back at the one who was her savior, even though it seemed he'd been a little frustrated or maybe perturbed by the role.
She noticed the silent one drifting away and her brow wrinkled with confusion. "Where's the silent one going?"
Then she realised that though she had told them her name she still didn't know theirs. she stuck her hand out with a childlike enthusiasm. "My name is Azhure. What's your name?"
While waiting for a response, she started to get anxious and jittery. As she became more confident and comfortable in her surroundings, the fear left her and she felt the need to do something for herself. "I wanna look around some." She looked rather nervous, biting her lip as she debated whether or not she should bug him any further. "Would you come with me?"

The soft sound of the wind made Fulmine realize that the little being had stop crying. He let out a held breath, and smiled at her, adjusting the bow on his back. "I am Fulmine, and the silent on is my brother, Noel. We've traveled far to gather supplies for an inn we run together with our brothers Cuire And Lirai. He went to go ask about places where you might have originated."
When mentioned that Azhure wanted to look around, he found himself liking her a bit more. He took her hand, standing up, as well as helping her up as well.
"Well know, shall we go look around then? I'll stay by your side."

Times were dangerous, it was true, but Yysida felt herself yield a bit at the sight of her sons, hand in hand, pleading to go play in the water. She couldn't remember having much fun when she was a twilif, and even though she didn't think it was an exceptionally good idea to have taken then to Priyal in the first place, they seemed to be enjoying themselves.
They were boys, so they wanted to be free of their mother and explore, but she couldn't have that. Not when the destruction of the Lost Village was still fresh in her mind. She hadn't been there, but she knew how quickly and easily destruction could be wrought upon any place. If she could help it, her sons would never know the violence and destruction that each of their parents had suffered.
Gliding over to them, she placed a hand atop each one's head, smiling at them. When she opened her eyes, she didn't mind so much if she saw Ashdel and Larkin. They symbolized all that had been good between her and Amiel, and it gave her joy to see them. The world wasn't such a terrible, tainted place when she had them to look at.
"All right, then. We'll go play in the water." Pressing lightly on them, she ushered them forward, adding, "Be mindful of your lanterns."
Letting out a joyful whoop, Larkin tugged hard on his brother's hand, all but sprinting toward the water. "I want to taste the sea!"
***
Eyes slitting open, Roen's gaze drifted toward the sound of the unfamiliar voice. So many at once; she didn't know if she would be able to handle all of the new beings. Worse, she couldn't tell if they were real, or only existed inside her mind, not when she had nothing to anchor them by.
Nothing but the phyri. He smiled, tail swishing, and she rose, clattering toward the other creature.
His voice was soft, pleasant. Roen didn't know if she could trust the voice, but he had food. She hadn't eaten in a long time. Maybe that was why there were so many? She needed food.
Tiny hands stretching out, she asked shakily, "Roen can has?"
Tentatively, she stepped forward again, hooves making an uneven clattering noise. He didn't approach her, but that was all right. She could see the bread now, in his hands. It wasn't a lie. Maybe it was a trick, but the bread was there.
Real, right?
Brow furrowing, she hesitated a moment longer, then snatched the bread, stumbling backward. In her haste, she tripped over herself, back legs tangling as he landed on her rump, the bread clutched to her chest.
She sniffed it, then looked across the ground, gaze bravely venturing to the constellation's knees.
"Not a trick?" She nibbled at the end of the bread, mouth watering at the prospect of food. Still, she was a little frightened, and was waiting to see if the other would rush forward and take the bread back, perhaps deliver a blow to go with the trick.
Roen didn't like tricks.

It had been a month. Yes. A full blown month since the incident, but that wasn't important to Rylia as she stared out into the ocean. She was indeed sitting, sitting on the shore where the water from the ocean could climb an collide with her being as it climbed the shore. She never actually been to the ocean before or seen it for that matter before her travels had brought her to the very town of Priyal. A rather big place it was, possible the biggest town she had ever found herself passing through or staying in for a short while. She had been in the town, a little more then a week, usually never staying in one place for so long, but something about the place felt pleasant. A strange feeling indeed. At least for her.
Rylia breathed slowly. Taking a deep breath and then exhaling the air around her, the smell of salt and the ocean through it. It felt...relaxing..calming even. She closed her eyes as she angled her face up as a wave hit a rock close by, drips of water hitting the front of her face as she opened her eyes only halfway, enjoying, savoring the moment. Nature. It was something she enjoyed watching and being around most of her life as a twilef on this earth. Things that were natural always seemed to please or relax her more then anything. Not being acquainted to many other beings such as herself made her that way, but things seemed to be slowly changing.
"I see you're here again.." whispered Kiru as he walked against the wet sand, sitting down next to Rylia as a new wave climbed its way up against the shore. "mmm, the waves feel really nice...its been so long since i've been to the ocean before this..." he continued as he stared out at the endless stretch of sea in front of them.
"I feel...relaxed here but...I know this feeling won't last long. The incident from a month ago...those guys. Who knows when they'll pop up again. Hopefully it won't be for a few more months. No need to talk or even think about them though. They're not important." Rylia muttered as she slowly pushed herself to a standing position.
"How about some target practice? I've got the cardboard pieces with vague pictures of their faces I remember." Kiru said standing up on all fours as he looked up at Rylia with a wide grin on his face.
"You drew...your version of their faces on cardboard?" Rylia said laughing to himself somewhat before nodding. "Sure, it's not like anyone else would recognize them or anything might happen because of it. I didn't interact with them...but the way they acted towards others is enough to want to shoot targets with their faces" she said nodded. Kiru nodded back. "alright! I'll be right back! I've got to go dig them up"
"You hid them in the sand?"
"hey! It's not like I had much of a choice. Besides, think of it as....some kind of attack against them I could never manage in this reality"
Rylia laughed. "It's okay Kiru, who knows, maybe I'll be a constellation one day and can manage a hit on those guys just for you! That is of course if i make it there before someone else takes them down" she said smiling somewhat as she nodded. "I'l be waiting here for you. So go get those targets for me okay?" she whispered as she ran the back of her hand gently along Kiru's back.
Kiru nodded and then bounded off to the right of her to go find the spot at which he buried the targets.
Rylia smiled as she watched Kiru run off and then turned to stare out at the ocean, the sea breeze blowing about gently. "I have....the strangest feeling..."

Rosel had decided with conviction that she hated the city almost immediately after having entered it. All the hustle and bustle, people pushing against her at every turn, the sheer noise of a thousand voices clamoring to be heard was enough to drive her to destruction. The damn seabirds constantly cawing overhead was worth a few good bolts of lightning through their fragile bodies. But of course such impulses were not to be borne in this massive a crowd; she couldn't kill them all and if she tried, the remainder would no doubt have her head before she could muster enough power for a second attack.
The emotion disturbed her, fear. Where once she wouldn't have thought twice about starting an attack on the city, she now hesitated and calculated and kept herself low. She certainly didn't do such a thing when attacking the village, the small, pathetic thing that could have presented a much higher challenge than it did, should its inhabitants have chosen to fight back instead of cowering like worms. Like Rosel herself was doing now. Confined to using nothing more than static shock against those who crowded a little too much against her person. Why? Why this fear?
Pushing through a group of people that had managed to insinuate themselves between her and the rest of the group, she skidded to a halt as she came upon the others. Noctis had a peculiar, petulant look on his face, but the expressions of the others did nothing to clarify the reasons. Haveni had drifted ahead a bit, and was now returning. Coming up behind the group, she stood at the rear, content to keep her attention out for any more assaults on her personal space. There was an itching at the edge of her consciousness that said she was being watched, and she narrowed her eyes as she looked around. What a ridiculous notion; of course she was being watched. Among the many eyes here, no doubt a few passed over not only her, but their little group as well. All of them would have to remain vigilant in this city, and though they had made it the whole way here without incident after the issue with the purple tramp, things could change as easily as a breeze.

As Ergo neared the gates, a smile pulled at the corners of his mouth. He was starting to realize that there was much more than just the one he came for in this city. Something big was happening, something important, something unique. The boy, somewhere buried deep, sang softly with joy. And then the smile was gone. The singing, somewhere deep and dark and secret, ended. What if whatever tragedy took place in the last village came to this town? There was surely danger. Even if Fulmine was with him, he was still in danger... Ergo quickened his pace, past the city gates, brightly colored stalls with the scents of city life wafting out passing by unnoticed. The ocean would be the first place to look. Water, right?
Far above, serene brown eyes followed the constellation on his path. "Fascinating, positively fascinating. Concern, care. A perfect specimen." Skryre grinned, his wings carrying him high above the city. He wold watch for a while, yet.

Azra`iel stood tall and silent on a stone support of one of the many old, abandoned piers. Surrounded only by the sound of the wind and waves, he had his head back and his eyes closed and was simply breathing in the elements. Priyal was a traveler's place, a welcoming place... one where no questions were asked.
Azra'iel did not want questions. Without questions, one could not have answers.
The constellation had been seeking answers since Ruin had awakened. He had tried to follow her. He had removed his blindfold, removed his self-inflicted darkness and objectivity to do so... to no avail. He lost her almost immediately and worse yet, the light that he used to guide souls to their eternal rest had not been able to assist his guiding the souls of the Cursed from the depths of the darkness in their hearts and minds.
So Azra'iel wanted no questions. He had no answers. He did not know where his purpose lay any longer. He was able to exist in Priyal knowing no one needed answers.
The sound of youthful laughter and excitement broke through his turbulent, yet formless thoughts and Azra'iel turned to see an exceptionally graceful constellation and her children approaching the shore. It was a good day for it, the sky as clear and the sea in a gentle, playful mood. The lone constellation remained motionless, watching now with a half smile, not wanting to interrupt the peaceful scene.
Wandering into the city behind a group of five constellations with... relatively intimidating auras, Ramial sucked in his breath and tried to slip past them to get lost in the crowd...
Unfortunately, he wasn't the most graceful being ever and he bumped into the green-clad female whose crackling aura struck a chord in his own lightning-bound soul. She was subtly releasing static to keep the crowd at bay: and he didn't blame her one bit!
Casting a look over his shoulder as he moved away, he was distracted by her frown... well, he couldn't really help it, she was pretty; and what normal male could stand to see a frown that hinted at distress on a pretty face?
So he did not see the other two forms in front of him still and quickly found himself and his trailing lantern rope tangled in a dark cloak that seemed to have a mind of it's own.
It's goal appeared to be either strangling or digesting him and he was amazed the owner hadn't fallen yet.
Looking up, the twilif's eyes widened: not only had he managed to try and mow down another of the very intimidating group he'd been attempting to skirt; this time, he'd run into the important-looking one.
Ramial stopped struggling and heaved a defeated sigh. Great. Just great. It was going to be a wonderful day.

"Brothers?" She murmured brightly."Family?" That was one thing she knew and understood. She counted in her head: 'Mine, El, Cu and Lir. Four brothers. How lucky they were! All she had was Cempa, but she didn't even have her right then. The voices, though they seemed to be like family, didn't count, and were yet another thing that seemed to be lost to her.
She tugged at his hand trying to go faster, hoping that by doing so she could find her answers sooner. But realising she didn't have a clue as to where they should begin searching, she stopped and shuffled her feet. "Umm, should we go look for 'El or start somehwere else?"
She knew they would be walking back into the crowds, and with her emotions being as out of whack as they were, it was going to be quite taxing for her. She almost glued herself to Fulmine's side as they moved closer to the heart of the city. Holding his hand and walking so close should provide even a small amount of protection. His feelings were calm and steady, a lifeline for her to hold onto so as not to become overwhelmed.
"I'm not a burden am I?" She realised that Fulmine and Noel were taking precious time they could be using to fulfill their obligations, but were helping her instead. "Will your family be upset? What about supplies for your inn? If it's too much trouble, you don't haveta help me."

From all of the information Noel gathered, he found that there was a temple on the other side of town. It was on the Shore, on the most rocky part of the sand. The mist constellation smiled, remembering the stories from his home on Earth. Their god of the school where he had lived was always considered a rock. And the rocks always stood firm, while the sand gave way. It gave him some comfort, as the temple seemed to have been there for a long time, safe and steady on the rocks.
Noel sent a mist message to Fulmine, telling him where he was, and waited outside for him.
Fulmine recived the message, and looked down to Azhure. "Of course not, little one. We are happy to help. Infact... Noel has located a temple. That might be the first step in helping you.." He picked her up, placing her on his shoulder. "Come now, It's not too far. I'll take you there."

Stalls bustled and people kept out of her path - Sankke didn't argue. If they were wise enough to avoid the which they couldn't see, then all the better to them. Smoothing a hand down her dress, the Twilif continued on her way through the city; her other hand was wrapped tightly around her lantern, which throbbed with light. The city and all of it's people, its thriving metropolis, its mecca. It was really, really starting to get on her nerves.
She moved off of the street, skipping roofs and walls with light steps and parkour. And reaching one rooftop, she turned - Priyal's entry was visible from here. The sea and the entry gates looked annoyingly idyllic. And something else... the Twilif frowned.
There was the taint she had been looking for. She was not yet sure, but... those Constellations look quite a bit like the ones from the village.
Sankke hissed like crackling flames, and stood up. Only then did she realize that she was not alone in her stare - surprised, she stared impassively down at Nashara on the balcony below her. "I'm sorry," the Twilif began, in a voice that expressed no sorrow whatsoever. "Is this vantage taken?"
((Hey Aeriim - my Twilif's on your turf. =P))

Ergo was running blind, but he ran nonetheless, off into the city, towards where he hoped the ocean was. Whatever golden hair that wasn't pressed against his face by the wind was waving behind him. He almost schizophrenically shifted between the boy, the trickster, and the traveller, his thoughts and memories a jumble, until he almost forgot where he was going and why he was going there. Purpose was almost lost.
But then he was at the ocean, pressing against a rail, leaning forward and looking down at the lapping blue waves that pressed gently against what ships were docked, rocking them back and forth. Ergo slowly regained his perception of the world, and he realized he had gotten away from himself again. "This is more than strange," he mumbled through barely parted lips. "Much more."
Then the city was pressing at his senses, and Ergo was himself again. The smell of the ocean, salt and high tide, and the smell of the city, cooking and spices, mingled in the air along with the hustle and bustle of the city and the raucous calls of sailors and fishers. The water was a clean blue, like the sky, nearly cloudless. Turning his head, Ergo looked down towards the shore. There was a temple, jutting up out of the rocks. Perhaps the one he was looking for was on the shore, close to the water, maybe even in the temple itself. Didn't hurt to look. Ergo set off for it.

Noel sat on the stoop of the temple, watching other being pass by infront of him like an endless parade. It was much much different than from his inn, who had frequent guests, but not at this vast amount.
In the distance, he saw a blur of blond race through the crowds, then finally stop right before hitting a rail. A silent giggles escaped Noel's lips, the unknown figure reminding him of someone who used to visit the inn all the time, and fill his head with wonderful stories of his travels. As of late, the traveler hadn't been seen, and The mist constellation feared he had been forgotten. His heart sank at the thought, the man he admired so much had forgotten the mute who waited for him anxiously...
He shook his head, sighing, continuing to gaze out to sea. There was no use in moping.. His mission for now was to help the girl. When he turned back to where the blond figure was, it seemed to be heading for him. Was it.. It couldn't be... was it really him..? Ergo..?

Nashara calmly turned around, years of training keeping her from acting startled or surprised. She titled her head upward, cooly meeting the stranger's eyes with her own. A feeling of pity arose in her as she examined the Twilif - this puny little ash tray had no idea what she had stumbled into.
But oh, would she find out.
She raised an eyebrow, her expression one of challenge. "How about you run along, child?" she sneered, forcing emphasis on the final word. "Before I am forced to put out whatever small flame you presume to possess."
Thrusting her hands downward, she shot upward, her dress billowing beneath her. Air spiraled around her in a dancing vortex, dirt and leaves forced to join in the frenzy by the wind's outreaching tendrils. She floated forward, stopping when she was eye level with the intruder.
"You'd better have a good reason for trespassing, little one."

Seir debated which way to go in order to find a suitable inn for them to stay at. Honestly, he’d never been into the city of Priyal so the answer eluded him. The dark constellation didn’t exactly enjoy the prospect of asking someone, since it was so demeaning, but the action might be necessary soon. He stiffened as he felt the strange sensation of being bumped into from behind. Still, his feet never touched the ground, though they were close.
Annoyance fluttered briefly and his gaze shifted behind him to look for the offending person. However, he saw no one that seemed like the culprit, though he had to note that Rosel looked rather… unhappy. Seir wondered if the lightning constellation was still affected by what happened at “Lost” village, but decided that he couldn’t quite muster the emotion to care. His eyes shifted downwards after a second, considering the feeling of being tugged and pushed against was still there. He was greeted by the most amusing sight of a rusty-crimson twilif being engulfed by the tail end of his cloak.
The cape had always been rather temperamental, sometimes getting iffy as though it had been petted the wrong way. So, it wasn’t surprising to find it trying to choke or suffocate someone every once in while.
Seir eyed the struggling Twilif, waiting patiently for the little thing to realize that resistance was useless—especially since it was attached to him. Though, he was keeping upright only by a small margin, but Seir was quite stubborn that way. Giving the boy another few seconds, the dark constellation finally reached down, and plucked the thing up by his one of his arms. His grip was firm, almost bruising but not quite.
“Boy,” Seir sounded somewhere between expectant and amused. “Aren’t you going to apologize?”
The ‘not that it’ll stop me from snapping your neck in half’ was refrained at the tip of his tongue.
