"Not gonna be so easy." Neo shifted into the old muscle's final gear, ending up nose to nose across the line. Stepping out of the Ranchero, he walked over to the Cerrera, and leaned on the hood. "Not bad, no one has been able to make it tough on me in a long time. Last person even able to make a small challenge went by the name Razor, and that was when I still only had a 351C in that old muscle." Walking around, Neo admired how the Cerrera still looked new, obviously this guy knew how to take care of a car.

((It's spelled Carrera))
"Whew, you're a tough one" Kiro exited his car and leaned on the hood. "I see you like it. 2006 model. This thing's my baby. You're my toughest challenge ever... what'cha got under the hood? And why, oh why couldn't I PIT you? works on everyone else."

"Hard to spin something that outweighs you by over a ton, as for what I have under the hood, it's a 550 big block, putting out close to 1100 horsepower. Good race to, not sure who won, but I know it was close." Neo walked over to the control room for the track, and asked for the times of the last race. "Kiro... you won't believe this. We tied, exact times of 1 minute, 38.027 on that last lap." Neo whistled, amazed by the time. "We both just set a new track record with that."

*Whistles* "Hot Damn, we're good. Though it seems we're equal, but with different skills. What say you we team up sometimes. I specialize in circuit races and sprints, and if the pursuit gets too hot, call me. I've never been caught in this thing..." Kiro sits in a chair to rest. "I love racing 'cuz it gets your adrenaline racing. Nothing beats crossin' that line or getting away from the cops after a preferably short, but intense pursuit."

"You think I've ever been caught? Well, once in a little Corrolla before I got this monster. I'm good at drifting this, something that few are able to do. And escaping, my weight give me an advantage in that as well, makes it real easy to bust down fences that get in my way, or to shove them out of my way." Neo reached over to shake Kiro's hand, knowing this would be a good alliance. "I think we can rule this." Neo said smiling.

Kiro grabs Neo's hand and shakes it. "This just keeps getting better and better. I will need a safehouse for this thing. Getting the heat off isn't easy, either. Not the way I drive, and there not usually being many other Carreras in that area."

"You can bunk with me." Neo said as he walked off to the Ranchero. Turning around, he fell, and started laughing. "You know, for all the precision driving I do in this old car, it doesn't help me on my feet."

Pulling in hotly, evading the speed bumps, knowing the havoc it would wreak upon his transmission, The loud whine of the turbos came bursting into the parking lot, easily turning heads. The bright orange car making its way towards the track. Ciro hadn't gotten out all week, and finally had his chance to play a little. He had just finished putting the two degree camber front and back on the car, to hopefully give it a little extra umph through the turns. The car's throaty backfire, as he shifted down, making his way onto the track. He was waiting for the oil temp to get up, and the tires to get sticky. Looking up to the board, he saw the new record posted, and laughed a little to himself. "Seems they get broken every other day. Haha. Hopefully this baby can keep up." He smiled inwardly, knowing that he could probably shatter this record. He was taking the first three laps nice and slow, awaiting the tire temp to rise, and the oil temp to get just right. After the third lap, he mashed the pedal, the car taking off to a seemingly quick start, grabbing and going, hugging the turn like no other, the quattro system in full working order. The turbo's winding up, as soon as he hit 85mph, the turbo's kicked in hard, shooting the car forward at an even quicker pace than before, and in quick order, by his sixth lap, the car was eating away at the record...
40.321 39.202 38.905 38.650 38.210 38.020 37.959
And finally, on his last lap, he obliterated it, taking some risky shots around the track, the Audi whipping itself around, never getting below 4.5krpms...
37.403...
Taking a few laps to get the car back to normal temperatures, Ciro pulled smoothly off of the track, and into the lot, allowing the turbo's to spool down, and the oil temp to drop. Getting out, he popped the hood, apparently very unhappy with his performance. He began fiddling with the ignition wiring, checking it all.

Neo was shocked as he heard the announcment of a new track record, he ran over to the deck asking for the times, and his mouth hung open in amazement as he read them. "This guy has got a good car to beat the last record by almost a minute." Neo said bye to Kiro, and jumped back into the Ranchero, smoking the tires to warm them up fast. I'm really going to have to push this old car to get my record back Neo thought to himself. As he pulled onto the track, sliding in his usual fashion, Neo saw a car he hadn't seen before. It had it's hood up, hiding its driver from view. As he got his laps in, Neo was only able to get 2nd overall in times. That guy is good, wonder if it could keep up in a drag race. Neo pulled back off the track, the Ranchero nearly out of gas, and the tires bald form sliding so much. I need to get some better tires if I'm going to keep drifting...

Hearing the large V8 roaring to life on the track behind him, Ciro glanced quickly over to the time boards, thinking his record would have been beaten, especially seeing as that run only had him running on 5 cylinders, and 19psi peak. Ciro, looking at his ignition system, immediately found the problem. Fortunately, he had extra sets of plugs, and gas, and oil in the car, knowing that at any time, those pieces could fail. The boost problem, on the other hand, was one that he had no idea how to explain. 19psi? Did I blow a turbo? I should be running 35psi... Hmmm. With that thought, Ciro moved to the passneger side of his car, grabbing a little briefcase, and pulling out his laptop, to which he took a cable and plugged into the OBD2 port. Running the VadCom system, he ran a diagnostic, checking what was wrong. He hadn't thought he had blown a turbo, no smoke, no banshee... I just don't get it... The diagnostic came up negative. Well, in that case, I guess I can try to run it one more time, now that everything is running the way it should be. I hope.
Turning the car back on, and closing the hood, Ciro took his car for a lap around the parking lot, taking a moment to admire the Carrera GT, and letting his oil temp get back up. As soon as it hit, he prepped himself onto the track, awaiting that big V8 to finish. As soon as it did, he took one lap nice and easy, making sure the tires were still warm, and the car was running well. Peaking at 36psi, Ciro was pleased, and apparently, he no longer had a misfire. Even Better.. This time, he started off the bat, romping through the course, the Audi handling smoothly as if she were on rails, the back end coming out on hairpins for only split second, before realigning, and jetting through the next straight. It took him 3 laps, but finally, he beat the record, having mashed through the apex's, comfortable with the turns, and asphalt now.
He pulled back into the lot, and once more, let the car spool down, and oil temp drop once more. He chose a solitary spot in the lot, close to the front doors, but still all by himself. Finally, he looked to the time boards, and saw how much he killed his previous record. Thoroughly pleased, he was amazed at how much time he had gotten off of the clock. But then again, peak performance was key.
36.997...

"He's a tough one, let me tell ya. We just got done racing, where we tied with exactly the same times. That was the record you just broke, though. And don't ask to race me, I'm out of Nos right now." Kiro gets in his Carrera and heads for the track's garage, refueling and refilling his Nos tanks. "Persistent, isn't he?"

"Didn't notice you walking in behind me, the roar of this thing cover up pretty much everything don't it?" Neo walked around the garage a bit, wondering just what could be done to up the performance of the massive 550 block. Maybe a supercharger... no Nos for sure, I'm keeping this at the basics...

Finally satisfied, with everything. He took the car around the track to the garage, and drove into his private stall next to the other two. leaving the door open, the garage was huge, easily able to fit at least 10-15 cars, and had 5 working bays in it. The rumble of the turboed V6 was unmistakable, and easily recognizable. As he pulled into one of the bays, he lifted the car, and began checking every last bit, to see if he broke a seal, or any other malfunctions that could lead to serious ramifications. Content that the car was fine, Ciro put it down, and began fiddling under the hood once more, tuning his turbo's with VadCom, and making sure every bolt was in order.

After a long absence...
Neo walked back into the garage after a long absence, seeing that everything was still in place. Content with the garage, he went out back, hoping that the gas in the old Ranchero was still good enough to start the massive engine, at least enough to get down to the track to get good gas. "Well ol' buddy, you need loosened up, but I think you're good to go still." As he pulled out of the garage, engine sputtering slightly, he knew it was gonna be a week or so before he could even attempt a race.
