DON'T BE AFRAID, AICH!! Writer: Discordancy
Poem: You shiver, you shake – What do fears make? Silver sliver-points that make you ache? See and mark well That this I’ll dispel: My darling, no need to fear this stake. Whether tall or small It is thin as all, And nothing to make you quake; For it’s only a p***k From one shiny stick And no more will you need to partake. So dear, stop your cower And my words, please devour, For it is with love your terror I break. It is to defend your virtue, And any ill health, to undo – This kiss from the silver you hate.
Comments (optional): I'm not sure if I've a fear of needles; I sew regularly, yet despise getting shots.

DON'T BE AFRAID, AICH!! Writer: Annchen Poem:
Sharp needle waiting Look at a shiny gemstone Blink and it's done
Comments (optional): Yay! Haiku writing time *pets Aich* It’s just a little needle. Try an intra-articular injection. Those are no fun at all... (and the reason I have a sliiight needle phobia) But get distracted for a moment and it’s done!

DON'T BE AFRAID, AICH!! Writer: Ruriska Poem: This goat flu is a terrible thing, Full of sneezing and snuffling making your nose sting. It lasts for so long that I truly fear, You’ll be feeling so sick for the rest of the year. But one little p***k will make it all go, You’ll be up on your feet before know, That nasty needle entered your skin. So stop being a wuss and get over your fear, Just go to the doctor for one little sting.

DON'T BE AFRAID, AICH!! Writer:lysia_nyteblade Poem: You cough and sneeze and feel a bit ill, you're weak an timid but can't take a pill. A shot they say will do the trick, to make you better and feel not so sick. Hold your breath and close your eyes, think of a few diffident colors of dyes. Before you know it it's all over, and you'll get a tasty treat of nice sweet clover. Comments (optional): i remember when they use to give kids lollies for being good after shots, figure clover is better than sugar cubes

DON'T BE AFRAID, AICH!! Writer: Moire Frost. Poem: The needle dives in deep The needle pulls itself back out It's no reason to lose any sleep No reason to scream or shout. The needle is fixing what needs to be done Sewing you back together I know it's not any real fun But just think about the weather. Though, you should fear not Because those scars will be very, very hot. Comments (optional): ABABCDCDEE. Love.

DON'T BE AFRAID, AICH!! Writer: Moon_Princess_Yuki Poem: The single little pinch, a tiny little itch. Now the evil little goat, is out of that throat. Your life will not be ended, and the wound would soon be mended. Do not fear my pretty little Aichi, and take that tiny little shot before the disease. Comments (optional): I think it's cute and simple. a perfect enticement.

DON'T BE AFRAID, AICH!! Writer: Riftwing Poem:
Perhaps you need to stop and reconsider If all these pinpricks and surgeries are Not so bad at after all. Certainly it is difficult, but also it makes you Unique. Scars can show your personality: a Hidden novel written on your skin. Injections seek to keep you healthy; do not fear them either. Overall, needles will help you. See? Needles are your friends.
Comments (optional): Secret message poem! ninja

DON'T BE AFRAID, AICH!! Writer: Nyx Queen of Darkness Poem:
Today, I laid there waiting and fearing. Wicked needle, wishing to p***k my skin, Who cares if it cures this sick dead, feeling? I prefer goat flu to a poke again!
Waiting…Why, why do I wait? I should run! Sadistic nurses bearing sharp objects At me was never my idea of fun. Yet, logic forced me to feel it’s affects.
I hated needles, but they made me well I sighed hoping, that I would not raise hell.
Comments (optional): I HATE, LOATHE needles. Recently I was in the hospital for 2 wks with what may have been swine flu. I just had to keep saying "This is going to get you better" then grin and bear it.
Iambic Pentamer. 2 Quatrains then a couplet.

DON'T BE AFRAID, AICH!! Writer: xXSakura_ForeverXx Poem: That dreaded thing (or it may seem) Oh God, how it can make you scream But you are broken to the world around That hates to hear you make such sound You do not see those who care Who love, and wish, to see you fare Take your fears and let them go Your pain was finished long ago Your violent shakes, and empty grieves Our love surrounds you like falling leaves Just think of what you've got to give And then your dreams shall surely live With you our hopes follow Comments (optional): I may have taken it to a slightly deeper level, but I think it fits all the same.

DON'T BE AFRAID, AICH!! Writer: ~InfinityTrust~ Poem:
To fear, or not to fear: that is the question: Peaceful mind or havoc in heart: Could there be simpler an answer? Blood’s no phenomena, Nor is pain, tears, and sweat. Yet the fear of a pinprick... By any other name would sound as foolish. Thou art no fool. Yet thy commit to such fear And bawl like a child. Banish that child. Banish such dreads. Though I must confess: Your fear’s shared. But we must not cower: For a needle is a needle. Small pinch, little pain: No need for toil and trouble; For the fear will only double.
Comments: Shakespearean fail. Whenever I get blood tests (shots are nothing, blood tests are what gets me), I usually sing Sailor Moon in my head. Never worked. I'll probably start to try Pokemon.

DON'T BE AFRAID, AICH!! Writer: ChezaRain Poem: Loathed breaking skin, drawing blood, unforgiven sin that seems a flood. This silver demon is a joke, compare it, let us, this little poke, to despair and agony, eternal sickness, spreading through your veins with a crafty quickness. A hunger gone unfed, a thirst without satisfaction, should these not have your reaction? So reconsider, settle your mind, put aside our needles, there are worse fears to find... Comments (optional): Rawr.

DON'T BE AFRAID, AICH!! Writer: Huni Pi
Poem: What is it that ails you? What is it that pales you? The blade's edge? The needle's p***k? The dripping of blood so thick?
The sight of breaking skin? The glint of light along its stem? I can dull their edges. I'll snap them and break them!
No need to draw near. You are free to shy away. Just call me to your side. I'll keep what ails you at bay.
Comments (optional): Apparently Aichmophobia is the fear of pointed objects, including pointed fingers XD

DON'T BE AFRAID, AICH!! Writer: iloveyouDIE Poem: Take the treatment or you'll die! The sickness is no joke, just close your eyes! It only takes a moment to cure your ills, Goat-flu is the flu that kills!
So don't be scared or worried or sad. It's tiny, it's silver and it's not that bad. Alright now Aich, step up. It's your turn! This poem is written for you, with love, to ease your concern. <3
Comments (optional): Not very afraid of needles myself. I took care not to use the word NEEDLE cause it might scare him more! And making him more scared of the evil flu might make him want the needle more. XD

DON'T BE AFRAID, AICH!! Writer: Sadi Sidhe Poem: I am but a p***k under your skin, chasing the Goat Flu away.
I am no more than a moment of mild discomfort, for an entire year of safety.
I am as a small guardian sending messages through your veins, to warn your body.
I am because you need me to give you health, and peace of mind.
I am there when people cough or sneeze, right in your face.
I am a fear in your mind that you can beat, I know you can.
I am a vaccine shot. Comments (optional): I am absolutely terrified of needles. One time I was going to have to get a shot I didn't expect, and I turned pale and started hyperventilating so bad they decided to wait until next time when I would be expecting it and could work up my courage. The ironic part? I'm a Vet Tech and give shots/draw blood from cats at work all the time, no problem!
