"Humm, let's see..." Frowning thoughtfully, L'thor toyed with his wine cup. "I Impressed her when I was fifteen, almost sixteen... That makes it about thirteen turns now," he gave R'ysan a lopsided grin, "I'll leave you to work out how old that makes me! I swear I still feel about twenty though, never really got the hang of growing up into a sensible, staid, responsible rider." The day he did would be the day it turned warm between; how dull to weight yourself down with worries about how your actions might look to other people. L'thor understood the concept of planning for the future and was quite capable of working towards goals, but he remained whimsical and flippant about issues that seemed to press heavily on other men his age. He'd live his life as he liked, and if the Thread returned in his lifetime he'd sharding well fight it but it wouldn't stop him jesting, even death would have trouble stopping L'thor from being L'thor.
"Anyway, as soon as you're qualified to go between unsupervised, we'll start showing you around," L'thor said with a nod, taking another sip of wine. "Nothing quite like using an evening off to lounge on the beaches to the south. I know quite a few points along the coast, so you can even pick what time of day you want to go to." Very useful, and quite a lot of fun; he remembered chasing the sunset all along southern a couple of times with D'los. It had been a silly, carefree few candlemarks, and had left them both exhausted the next day. Still, it had been worth it.

So almost 29 turns that made him, thought R'ysan as he took a look in his empty klah mug and decide it was better not to fill it as the long day was about to come forward and rear its ugly head. "Well you're only old as you feel inside. Don't matter the number of turns." He never planned on getting old himself it wasn't in his mind set even if time had other plans in the future. Seemed like he and L'thor had a couple things in common at least. Provide they didn't clash in other ways later. However, considering the offer of instruction, R'ysan would make an effort to curb his naturally abrasive attitude. Reg and he needed the extra help and he'd do what it took to find it.
"That would be great." said R'ysan with a smile realizing that he'd better take his leave before he decided to skip out on the 'punishment' all together and sit all day shooting the breeze with L'thor. The man was additively easy to talk with...he'd have to remember that for later if ever he needed someone to just yap with about life, green dragons and roaming wild and free across the world. Not a bad way to start his morning off..not at all.
"I'm looking forward to this new club and the chance to take Reg out and about. But I better hit the road or else D'astel might find me slacking. Not that I don't care one way or the other but Reg is already frustrated with my absence at the moment. So I should at least be considerate of her needs and get to my chores."
He put his plate and mug up then scooped up Snitch. "Let me know when the first gather of your club is and I be sure to come. I'll let you know what my schedule looks like after 3 days. Then things should be back to whatever normal is for weyrlings. It was nice meeting you. L'thor."

L'thor watched him go with a smile, glad to have made a new friend, and one he could quite possibly help out too. He didn't consider himself an especially nice, helpful sort by nature, but he did enjoy being able to teach things to willing students. Finishing off his wine, L'thor rose to return his bowl and so forth to the serving hatch. The evening hadn't started badly, and now it was even better.
