peering at the berries, katsu noticed a small wisp of smoke come from a berry. walking forward, katsu took a mouthful and moment later, katsu fell over with pain, twitching uncontrollably, catsu was enveloped in smoke, about a minute later the smoke cleared to reveal a human with fox ears and tail, he was about 16 and had medium length blond hair.

suddenly waking up, katsu yelled in pain. looking at mazu, katsu noticed something wrong, jumping up off the ground katsu looked down at himself, in shock, katsu gasped out. "im... HUMAN?!?!?!?" katsu staggered back againsed a tree, staring at the growling mazu. "mazu, its me, katsu!"

"i dont know, but its the berries.. they did something..." katsu realised what was going on. "you might too, i think the reason i did so fast is because i possess the powers, no time to negociate. lets get to the old farmers house now and get me some clothes and you a shelter, ill pretend im a homeless man, or if thats what they call them... anyway, if they invite me in to stay a while ill see to it i get you inside secretive, if you transform, it will be painful and you shouldnt do it out here..." katsu nodded in the direction the house is and sped off in the direction. "come on!"

katsu walked up to the door, aware he is naked, but this would only help the appearance, beckoning to mazu to hide, katsu plastered himself with mud and made his ears and tail look like a few lumps of mud, katsu knocked on the door.
the old man opened the door, only minutes later katsu's talking skills won him a room for the night and a few outfits.
katsu went to his room and washed up, puting on his clothes, katsu wrapped his tail around his body and then put on a hat to disguite his ears.
katsu leaned out the window, quietly calling mazu. after she got to the window, katsu pulled her into the house and silently wispered. "when the transformation comes, do your best to keep quiet!"

katsu stepped into the hallway and quietly closed the door, walking out into the kitchen, katsu sat down with the man and his son to eat, katsu never eaten anything so wonderful in all his life, it was so strange.

katsu stepped into the room with a plate of food, spotting mazu, katsu set down the plate and plopped down on the bed to sleep.

the morning sunlight cast a light into the room, as katsu woke up, he looked next to him, the son of the old man was petting mazu. katsu immidiately shot up, shoving the teen away, katsu's hat flew off and revealed his ears, in shock, the son murmered. "well ill be damned, its that grey fox that broke pa's gun..."
katsu stared into his eyes, knowing he meant no harm, katsu helped him up, looking over at mazu, katsu was suprised she hadnt woken up, shaking her, he woke her up.

seeing no offencive actions from the old man, katsu whispered quietly to mazu. "its ok, i dont think he will harm us..." instantly the old man took out his small firearm and shot katsu in the shoulder, crying in pain, katsu grabbed mazu and leaped out the window and sprinted off after taking a backpack made from leather.
sprinting forward through the woods, katsu hid behind a tree, holding his bleeding wound, clearly in pain, katsu murmered "guess humans CAN feel pain!" katsu looked around, in the distance, the desert, in the horison, the mountains where the clans last stand was made years ago, when yuki died, but katsu still had his doubts the winged fox was dead. "i am going to the mountains, mazu... the clan wont believe its me and its not too late for you to join them... it would be better for you to go, im heading to where my journey started, where the plague killed most of my clan. im going back to live a new life, their was a human civilization their, im going to start a new life among them..." katsu drew a deep breath and but mazu down. "either your with me, or you can start out a new life with the clan"
