Melethia was hiding in an alley. She was behind some garbage. She grabbed the item she picked up out of her hiding place on her body. It was a necklace. But this wasn't hers. It was a silver with a red gem on it.

"This is weird."She thought,"Why would he want this? I'm not going to find out." She put the necklace back in its hiding spot before running again.

Isadora rode down the street with her shield hanging onto her arm and a spear in her other hand. The paladin hoped that Ghis would get her message to help her round up the criminals and madmen. Only problem was how could you tell them apart?

Those crazed people could blend in with the citizen thanked to the unknown source. With citizens raving about seeing Gods, monsters, dead people, and other stuffs, it was hard to tell them apart from madmen and criminals.

Luckily, most of the sane citizens had managed to lock themselves at home, making the streets barren. In addition, it was also lucky that the guards were guarding the health wards and clinics to make sure that the delusional people were to remain in the buildings getting help. However, it was still unknown how many would need to be cure and how many should be locked up in the asylum.

Isadora placed her spear on the side of her horse. Making sure that her weapon was secured, she turned around and looked inside her saddle pouch. She pulled out a rope. If she happened to run across a madman or a criminal, she would have to subdue the insane and tied him up.

Having a difficult and risky task, Isadora strolled down the street, looking for strange and unusual person. However, how would she be able to tell the delusional from the insane?

Derrin's jaw dropped when the lightning hit him in the chest flinging him backwards over the wet cobblestones as he slid to a rest at the wyvern knights feet. Looking up he glared at the man. "Laugh and I'll kill you." Though he had been hit and flung his resitance to magic was pretty good so the only thing that would have been singed was his robes.... had they not been fireproof. (After being set on fire for the 6th time by Jaren he had wized up.) Standing up and brushing himself off he glared at the slingshot man.

"Your extremely fortunate that I dont have another tome apart from this fire one. So ill have to improvise..."

Derrin raised his tome again and charged Jasper a second time.... He was in a bad mood and simply wanted to beat this man to death... the man had better pray it kept raining.

User ImageEven the eyes of a hawk can make mistakes. Tibarn's argument with his wife had not ended well. He still felt like she didn't trust him, and as he swept through the sky, he couldn't help reflecting that perhaps she had good reason not to.

He had started out initially flying just to clear his mind. After the fight, he'd gone and made his daughter lunch and had then taken off for the afternoon to think. He certainly hadn't expected to pass through a small but sudden downpour and find that a number of maniacs with unusual powers had sprung up all over and begun to riot. He had since been dodging small rain clouds and blasts of destructive sound, and it was not doing much to help him clear his head or sort himself out.

A gurgling scream caught his ear and he instinctively turned, dipping low with his green jacket flapping behind him. Below him, he could see a dead man-- too late to save him, damnit! They'd even chopped his arms off!-- and when he looked up, two children skipping through the alley.

They could be headed right for whatever killed that man. The Hawk King took action before thinking, folding his wings to drop low, and suddenly caught the two children by the cloaks. He flapped his wings hard-- they wouldn't drop what they were holding, and they were heavier than they'd looked, damnit!-- but he managed to get up and into the air, grunting and powering his wings hard to rise into the sky. "Ah-ah... just relax... I got you..."

Loch was still rather flustered from that assault. While Kris was known for his antics, it was always one of those things that you thought would happen to other people, you know? With Vika gone, the Bistro's coffee was starting to look better all the time...or maybe he'd just stockpile the supplies and start making the coffee from home. It'd probably be better that way. Cheaper, too!

"Er, ehe..." His face was still flushed red as he was escorted from the premises of the cafe. "J-just a coffee, really...the raven who works there makes the best espressos..." It was just then that he realized who it was assisting him, and he withdrew quickly. He knew of Annis. First her relationship with that Hero raven, and then her habits of teasing people and stealing from them...not exactly the type he wanted to be associated with. His posture immediately straightened, and he avoided glancing at her, instead turning his gaze to the streets. A foreboding sense of chaos was growing, and it was making Loch more anxious than he already was. He heard a scream, and instinctively he withdrew both his Rewarp and his Mend staffs. With a sideways glance, he addressed Annis. "I would suggest you take shelter. These streets are growing more dangerous, and I wouldn't allow you to pilfer from the fallen anyway."

With that statement, he took off running down the alley.

My memories are doubting me...

It seemed like it'd be a simple enough morning, really, when she awoke. Sure, the whole getting-cake thing sort of fell on its a** and lost its way whenever she found Tibarn, but now after locating a friend, it would certainly improve. Right?

So why was he not even looking at her? Or even walking anywhere near her?

Annis tilted her head to the side, folding her arms behind her back. She studied Loch uncertainly, eventually drawing her lower lip inbetween her teeth. She didn't have the senses of a heron, but she could clearly tell that things were not right around here. Not with the strains of cries and screams she could catch. Annis finally spoke up at a lull in the panicked ambient noises, brushing her bangs off of her face. "I've never tried any of the coffee there, I've never been much of a coffee drinker... but if you like it so much, maybe I should--"

"I would suggest you take shelter. These streets are growing more dangerous, and I wouldn't allow you to pilfer from the fallen anyway."

Annis froze, mouth hanging open for a few moments. When she managed to collect her wits again, all she could stammer was an "E-Excuse me?" She stared at his white jacket fluttering behind him under his grey wings for a second, then glared and sprinted after him. "Hey! Hey, wait up!" she called. Did he honestly think that she was going to do something that stupid? And take shelter? "I can help you-- hey! Hey, I said wait up!" Annis puffed out an angry breath and tried to pick up the pace, wings flapping to try to propel her further.

When the heck did that guy get so fast? Bugger's faster than any other heron I've ever met in my life!

"From line to line, it's cutting through the air." The rain stopped about 10 seconds later, and Jasper lifted his shirt. There seemed to be 50 or more marbles with markings ruse. "Every way." They were all latched onto his chest, and he lowered his shirt again. He cocked the blue one he was holding, and as he released it, he yelled a third time, "JASPER!" It bounced off the ground, and then stretched to an elongated form, then curved. Jasper picked it up, long, sharp, like a scimitar. He placed it on his slingshot.

"Cutting..." he repeated. It fused with the slingshot, making the perfect combination of slingshot and sword, with the hilt being able to fire more. It resided in his right gloved hand, and he got out another stone. It was jet black, smooth, and no markings.

Scampering and eating a small piece of bread wasn't something to do while flying. Luckily, he finished his food, and finished moving, although he dropped a torch. "Aw dang-- well, not like I need it. Or anyone else for that matter." he said. The torch dropped and it was heading straight for Loch. Heath didn't notice, he had business; the kind of business that didn't involve torches.

He flew to the opening where Jasper, Darrin, Valter, and Rei were. Being that these were the first people Heath recognized, save Jasper, he landed next to Valter. He moseyed over to Rei like he didn't just land there and asked, "Hey, what's going on? Bad stake out?"

Melethia was well in the alleyway. She sat down behind some stuff and remained hidden. She sighed. She looked up and noticed that the rain had stopped. Good, now her Elfire spells would work. She grabbed on of her tomes and looked at it. It was still good enough to use. Good. She knew she had to stop this crazy guy. Maybe she would have a chance. She stayed hidden, waiting for the chance to strike.

Rei looked up at the sound of wings flapping, seeing another wyvern come down to the street where Valter had just landed. But this time, it was Heath. the nonchalance of both his entrance and comment were a bit startling, but really, this little fight wasn't exactly cause for alarm. The two weren't exactly breaking anything. Rei smiled a bit, giving a dismissive wave to Heath as he addressed him. "Well, I was hre, and then Valter arrived. And then these two came out of nowhere and starting beating each other's faces in." Rei shook his head, a chuckle creeping out as he did so. "It's really odd, if you ask me..."

Loch ducked out of the alley, head shifting every direction for signs of danger. The streets were mostly empty, but sunny, presenting a false sense of security to Loch's mood. Worse yet, that raven was still trailing him. What in the name of all that was holy did she want?

He paused in place, patting his jacket for the presence of his wallet. Okay, good, it was still there. His apartment wasn't too far away, he could easily get there quickly and it would be sanctuary within the impending storm. But what about the raven? He couldn't just ditch her-- well, he could, but it wouldn't be very nice. Loch turned to face her, ready to tell her to leave him. But, hey, what was that? There appeared to be some sort of object hurtling from above, right for the girl. The chances of it actually hitting her were infinitesimal, much like a solid chunk of wyvern dung falling killing someone. But you don't exactly think about that when you see it happening. You do something about it!

"Hey, watch out!" He pointed the staff directly at her, and with a fierce swing of it and a glow of its crystal, a rune appeared around her. It enveloped her and, collapsing, it reopened immediately beside him, bringing her along with it. The falling stake crashed into the ground where she once stood, planting itself there.

Loch still refused to look at her. "I am heading home. If you live nearby, I would suggest you do the same. You...may take refuge in my apartment, if you wish, but I will be keeping my eye on you."

Back in the Health Wing, Shinon groaned as he woke up. "The hell was that? OW...." Shinon touched a large bruise on his forehead.
He vaguely remembered trying to help someone and she threw a shoe.... at his head.
"Someone must have found me." Shinon got up but quickly, but fell over. Stars flashed in his vision as he readied himself against a stool. He sat back down and cursed. "Stupid, girl," He tried getting up again and succeeded without any troubles.
Now I need to find someplace to be, I want to feather some fools because my boredom is unbearable and incurable. He sighed and looked for a staircase that lead to the roofs.

Annis liked to pride herself on having a nice sense of balance, but it was hard to stay upright and on your feet when you end up running through trash. Thanks to some random hobo that probably ended up knocking over the trash bin (or maybe a demented man earlier had run through and knocked it over on accident, who knew?), Annis flailed her arms and tried to skid to a halt before her face greeted the hard ground. She was panting when she got back to her senses, one hand pressing against the wall of the building on her right. "D-Damn banana peels," she muttered, glaring at her toes before rising her eyes up to find Loch standing fairly close now, maybe a few yards away at best. She could see him checking his jacket, and even though she wasn't quite sure why, it was already annoying her again.

"Okay, look, I--" Annis started, lifting a hand and pointing at Loch. Her mouth was still open when she could practically feel the light appearing below her before actually seeing it. Her green eyes turned down, confusion shifting to realization as rapidly as the rune's light consumed her and disappeared. Annis nearly fell over when she very suddenly found herself standing next to the blonde Heron, but when she saw the stake that dug itself into the ground where her head was just a moment before, she really did collapse, leaning against the wall for support.

"...s**t," Annis muttered. She looked over to Loch, irritation bubbling as he cast his eyes away from her. "Thanks... uhm... I think..." she tried. But wait, there he was talking again, dismissing her--the bubbling rose to a steady simmer, growing hotter and hotter.

The very end might have calmed her down, as he offered to let her stay in his apartment to weather the coming storm, but the last addition made the irritation rise up to a rolling boil.

"Okay, listen," Annis muttered, poking one finger hard into his sternum. "Look, I don't know what you're assuming I'm going to do here, but if you think that I'm about to pull something retarded just so I can--for the love of Ashera, actually look at me, please!" Annis found herself shouting at the end, stomping one foot on the ground. The imagery of a child throwing a tantrum was lost on her, but after that outburst, the anger seemed to lower down to an embarrassed hiss. "Look. I'm sorry if you think I'm going to betray you, or... or take something from you, or what. I don't know what you think of me, unless you flat-out tell me, and I don't get the feeling you will. And you don't have to. But I'd like to think that I can trust you, and... and you don't trust me, do you."

Annis brushed her hair off of her face. She was deflating fast, but a spark of anger was still in her eyes as she finished talking. "If... you're offering me a place to hide out while this crazy s**t happens, I'd like to take you up on that. Please. But... seriously, I sort of consider you at least a friendly acquaintance and I'm not about to nick anything from you or try to rub off on you the wrong way, so... can you stop looking the other way like I'm a zit on some lady's nose? It's really unnerving and we don't need more hostility in a situation like this."

Which is quite hypocritical, considering how you were just yelling at him.

Annis ignored that little voice. She folded her arms under her bust and watched Loch silently, her face neutral. She had said her piece, so... all she could do now is wait for him to speak, too.

(pushed in by Rath)

What the hell was going on with everyone? A day ago everyone was acting all normal, like they should be. Sure there were the occasional wackos and crazies, but now it seemed like all of the townsfolk had gone mad!

That was what Aran was thinking to himself about an hour or two ago, now he was in the streets trying to see what the problem was. That, and get anyone insane back to where they belonged.

"The voices... I can hear them!" Cried one of the townsfolk, while another was currently clinging to his leg like a little boy having a temper. Except this "boy" was around his 30's and was veery heavy. And to make it all worse, some of the criminals (who were also insane to begin with) had broken out in this sudden frenzy. Funny how as soon as everyone leaves, bad things happen. Again

At least, there were still some other members of The Watch and some FEF members to pitch in, but they were quite outnumbered.

Shinon sat on the roof with his bow in his hand. The wind blew threw his red hair and the sun shined down on his bow.

"Look in the sky!! Flowers!!!" A townsfolk yelled while running through the street.

"What the..... are these people insane?" Shinon questioned himself and looked out towards the center of the city.

"Frogs!!! Dice!! Ponies!!" Another townsfolk screamed as she ran through the streets.

"............What in the....." Shinon stood up and frowned. He walked down the staircase and tried to look for someone sane and ask them what was happening.

The fight was escalating. It seemed like there was absolutely no hope for the man that was apparently a mage. Valter was somewhat disappointed. He didn't want the fight to end already. He was having way too much fun. Like when the handicapped mage was sent flying back and landed at the wyvern knight's feet. He was told not to laugh, but he was never really one to obey strangers. So he laughed, exaggerating it a bit to make sure the man heard.

Before he could observe the mage's reaction, however, Heath touched down right next to him. He gave his friend a smile and a nod, then returned most of his attention to the fight while his fellow wyvern unit wandered over to Rei. He heard Heath's question, as well as the shaman's response.

"Yeah, that about sums it up," Valter added casually. He was paying way too much attention to the fight to offer a complete response. Hell, if he couldn't join the fight, then he might as well find some way to enjoy it. There were a few interesting new developments that he could see from his position. The most obvious was the cessation of the rainfall. The other was the second man's new weapon. Well, not exactly new. It was the same slingshot, but with a new shape and function. Now it looked as though it was half-sword, half-slingshot.

"That mage doesn't stand a chance," Valter whispered to himself with a short chuckle.
