It was nice to have a few moments to spend alone with the person she loved though she just wished she could do it more often, maybe she was spending too much time with Bast but then, how couldn't she? Poor darling needed the attention, Tempest sighed softly as she giggled "wow, her highness was out alone? Im shocked" she said giggling softly "anyway I am pleased you were able to find someone to help you" she said as she reached over to the basket and picked up the container of slices, about a dozen in said container and took one, offering the container to Shou. "Thats fine, I dont mind if your father is kept a box, then again, from what I hear, it isn't good to deprive your father from anything" she said thinking about some of the stuff shes heard on the grapevine bout his father, granted she wasn't one who usually had the tendancy to listen to roumors but if they were true...
"Well then, I shall ask if you can stay for dinner tonight, Lenore, whilst she may be a tad clumsy, ditzy and wouldn't know the difference between a rolling pin and a log shes a good cook amazingly enough and loves us greatly so we usually get a good meal here, we usually eat like kings most nights, on christmas, we have enough food to feed a small country for the rest of their lives, I just will get one of the anthros to make more dessert when we are gone. So I will finish making this picnic and ask one of them to make the desert im taking. I have most of what we need anyway, I dont really think there is much more then what we have, I have made sandwhiches, we have a four types of salad, we have sweets, we have savories and pizza in the oven to take, cheese sticks, a bottle of Lenores more exspensive wine, lemonade, cuttlery, plates. glasses, and anything else you can think of food wise?" She asked, looking at the time, it was half tweleve, if time permits they should be gone by one, the pizza and savories wouldnt take long to cook so all that was left was really just wondering what to do about Bast unless there was something else Shou wanted to take of course.

Shou laughed nervously at the mention of his father and absentmindedly rubbed his head where his father would bop him when he didn't share or stole anything from him.
"Hai, and if I did deprive him, I'd have to fight in order to keep the ones I have and I uh... haven't won in a fight against him yet." He waved his hand at the container she was holding out for him, declining politely. "If you say she is such a wonderful cook, I definitely have to stay. Where ever the food is, I'm there."
He listened to her as she listed off the things she had packed for their picnic and he started to laugh in the middle of it as the list continued to get bigger and bigger.
"I think you're forgetting to pack the refrigerator. Koi, you have outdone yourself. I'm sure that is all the food we will need between the two of us."

Tempest giggled "I guess it is time for you to practice some more" she said as she put the slices away "maybe this picnic isn't a good idea she teased, poking his stomach "I think I need to send you to the gym instead of allowing you to come on this picnic with me" she said grinning at him before taking a bite of her slice "someone needs to start training in order to beat his father" she said placing the slice down on the bench and walked over to the fridge and took took out a bottle of soda, knowing she could always wait till they got to the clearing but meh, she was thursty now. "Want one?" She asked as she took the top off hers and took a mouthful from it and then placed the top back on the bottle "I can't have you hungry now could I? And belive me, if the fridge fitted, I would of taken it though Lenore may get worried about how her fridge could have dissapeared" Tempest said as she she looked back in the fridge to see what else they could take "don't think there is anything else anyway, you are lucky" she said as she looked back at him "turn the oven off please? They should be done now" she said as she thought about what to put them in, she didn't want to take any containers they may need for the left oversfrom tonights meal "and thats great, I will ask Lenore if you can stay before we go, I will need to speak to Garnet or Celest before hand, one of them will need to make more desert" she said as she undid her drink and took another mouthful.

"Ha, very funny." Shou said with a roll of his eyes as she poked his stomach. "Trust me, no amount of training is ever going to give me the ability to beat him. He cheats anyway... and sure, a soda sounds nice." He laughed at her comment about the fridge and shook his head. "I think your Lenore would have to be a little proud that you were able to take the fridge all the way out there by yourself."
He walked over to the oven and stared at all the knobs and buttons for a moment, completely and utterly confused for a moment. He hardly ever cooked so which one turned it off? He sighed when he found what he was looking for and turned it off. He was very certain Tempest would not have let him live that down. He glanced back over his shoulder and smirked at her.
"I look forward than to being able to stay over if I am able."

Tempest took a bottle of soda out of the fridge, shut the door and placed it n the bench next to Shou before walking over to the oven and opening it, taking the mini pizza's and pastries out of the oven and placing them on top to let them cool a little as she went to find containers for them both "ever thought of trying to beat him at his own game?" She asked, placing her bottle on the bench "it might be under handed but im sure a smart boy like yourself could find a way to beat him" she said as she found two contaiers and walked back over to the oven. "And yes, Lenore would be proud untill she realised I probably would have spoiled several things in it which wouldn't probably go down so well" she giggled as she opened the containers and started putting the pastries into on and the pizza's into the other "then I guess you will be staying the night" she said looking at him and smiling "good thing I made myself a king sized bed when I turned into an anthro, otherwise we will still be sleeping on the floor" she said as as she finished putting the food into the containers and put lids on them and put them into the basket.
Tempest walked over and wrapped her arms around the waste of the other anthro and smiled up at him "it would be nice to finally share my bed with someone, its nice to have a large bed at times but it does get lonely, it will be nice to finally share it with the man I love" she said as she lent up and kissed him softly on the lips "and thank you for turning off the oven" she said as she kissed him a bit more passionatly.

"I... well..." Shou's voice trailed off as he thought about that. He had never thought to cheat like his father always did. Of course, if he failed he knew his father would never let him forget it. Whatever he tried, nothing seemed to work. Her support, however, was comforting and he smiled as he picked up the soda that she set on the counter and popped it open with his claw and took a sip. He laughed at her comment about sleeping on the floor.
"I haven't slept on the floor since I was a child... even then I would be scolded for doing so because, as Starr would put it, 'it would ruin my awesome hair'." He set his soda down on the counter and continued to watch her go about the kitchen with ease and he was impressed. He had never known about this side of her and he smirked when she walked over to him and wrapped her arms around him. His smile grew at what she said and he returned her soft kiss. "If only we had our own home, then we could be together more koi." He said softly against her lips. Before he could let his hormones push away his good sense and carry up to the room she continued to speak about, he broke the kiss reluctantly and smiled down at her. "Perhaps we should get going..."

Tempest giggled wand rolled her eyes "your guardian may have a point about 'your awsome hair' I wouldn't want it messed up either" she said as she pouted "aww but...but we could always just leave the picnic till tmorrow" she said as she nuzzled him before pulling away with a reluctant sigh "oh well, I guess our fun can wait" she said as she put the containers into the basket and closed the basket up and smiled at him "our own home?" She asked curious, having never really thought about that but the idea did sound nice. "I..." she said biting her bottom lip, thiking about Lenore, could she truely leave her? Lenore had alot of others living in this oversized estate so she wouldn't be alone but still, Lenore was a walking health hazard at times, could she honestly be safe on her own? "how about this, I will give you my answer tomorrow? I will just need to talk to Lenore thats all, and er...koi?" She asked curiously, never havin heard of that before, she took out her cellphone and sent a text to Celest asking her to make more desert for tonight, something that would be set in just a few hours or so and to make several things so they had a choice "ready" she said closing her cellphone and picking up the basket and grabbing he drink.

Shou immediately regretted mentioning anything about getting a home. She looked apprehensive about the idea and even though it sounded like it would be an amazing idea, it was a rather large step. He reached his hand out and caressed the side of her face with his claws gently. He was ready to tell her to forget the whole idea but when she said she would give him an answer tomorrow, he nodded.
"Alright then, till tomorrow." He said softly as he started to chuckle over her curiosity over the name he had used for her. "I am Japanese remember. Koi is a term of endearment... sort of like those uh... what do you americans call them? Pet names I guess that's what they are and if you think I'm going to go anywhere with you carrying everything you're mistaken..." He held out his hand for the picnic basket.

Tempest pushed her face agianst Shous hand, eyes closed, she had always loved his touch, this was just perfect "thank you, I dont think Lenore will mind me moving out with you, if anything, she will be pushing me out of the house with my bags already packed, Lenore loves romance of any and all kind especially if, in the end, she gets to be guardian of adorable baby puppies, not to mention I also have Bast to concider" she said gesturing towards the kitten who had now curled up in a ball on the mat leading out to back yard. "But like I said, she will be fine with it, promise, I just need to pass it by her thats all, I don't want her thinking im just dissapearing" she said as she handed him the basket "thank you" she said as she grabbed his drink and opened up the basket and placed his drink at the right side of the basket and hers at the left just so they didn't get mixed up and closed it "lets go" she said as she started out of the kitchen.
"I understand that koi may be a term of endearment but er...isn't that a fish?" She asked curiously, having only ever heard of the fish "and im not American" she said smiling at him "I grew up in America but only from a puppy onwards and I never truely thought of America as my home even though I have lived here all my life, I may have only lived there a little but I always have thought of Paris as my home, I was born there but my mother died giving birth to me and my siblings, she was burried, my sibblings found homes and that was the last I ever saw of them and her, I was the runt of the litter and people don't seem to like the runts so I was left to fend for myself. Lenore found me scavaging in bins and looking terribly thin and took me in when she was walking past to look for more art one day, she left me at the vet for a check up but once she got the all clear I came back here with her to live and the rest, as they say, is history" she said as she bent down and picked up Bast and cuddled her "come on darling, I am going to let you stay with Garnet, you like her don't you?" She said as a small mew came from the tired kitten "be right back" she said as he walked off cuddling the kitten and straight up the stairs to Garnets room and knocked on the door.
Garnet climbed off her bed and over to the door and opened it "hi, Tempest, whats up?" She asked, sucking on a lollipop.
"I am going out with Shou, could you please take care of Bast? Shes been fed and is tired so she will probably just sleep now but I just would rather have her taken care of whilst im out" she said as she kissed the kittens head and cuddled her one last time as she handed her over to Garnet.
Garnet nodded "yeah, sure, I would love to" she said as she took the kitten and cuddled her "you and I will get on fine wont we? You can help me sort out the vast amount of candy I brought today" she said as she looked ack at Tempest "anything else?"
"Nope, thats it, thanks Garnet" she said as she scratched the kitten behind the ear one last time "be good for Garnet sweetie" she said as she started to leave.
"Wait!" She said as she walked back into her room and arrived back with a box of chocolates "take these, belive me, I brought enough confectionary to feed three armys, fifteen boxes of chocolates in amongst alot of loose stuff, so take them, you and others will get more sooner or later, I will sor it out whilst your gone, you will get your share soon" she said smiling at her enjoy" she said as she shut her door and went to start sorting out candy.
"Thanks" she called as she walked back to Shou and showed him the chocolates "for us, yet another thing she brought, fifteen boxes apparently, I would REALLY love to know how that girl stays so thin" she said as she opened the basket and plced the choclates inside "now, shall we go?"

Shou understood completely what Tempest was saying and he thought of his own human and family and wondered what their reaction would be if he told them he was moving out. He knew Starr would probably want to hang onto him as long as she could for his hair since she found it funny to put bows in while he was sleeping... he'd probably miss that but if he left, he could start a real family with Tempest. A family...
He nodded when she said 'let's go' and started to laugh again at the blunt way she put it.
"I guess by itself it would be the fish but it's actually short of Koishii which means beloved." Shou was actually enjoying explaining all of this to her. It reminded him of the many lessons that he had had with his sisters to learn about the culture that his father and mother came from before appearing in the moonlit realm. He turned to her a gave her a smile. "I only call you that because you are my beloved and my most cherished one."
It surprised him though, when she began to explain that she was not American but actually from Paris. Though they were in a romantic relationship, he hardly knew anything about Tempest's past. To hear she had had to fend for herself so young.... Shou shook his head. He didn't want to think of her in that state where she could have died. He watched her leave with their kitten "daughter" and waited for her to return. When she did and with even more things to add to their picnic, he chuckled and shook his head.
"Garnet-san is going to get cavities if she continues eating like that." Shou said with a nod. He gave Tempest a smile and leaned down to place a soft kiss on her cheek. "Yes, let's go enjoy ourselves."

Tempest blushed a little at the 'koishii' comment and smiled at him "well then, I guess one does learn something new every day" she said as she wraped an arm around his waste and held him close as they left the house "I guess I can handle you calling me that then" she said playfully as she lent up and kissed his cheek "I love you" she said as she stepped over a branch in the road and giggled "youre telling me, strangely enough though the dentist says her teeth are perfect, granted she brushes and flosses three or four times a day so I guess that helps. Though she is also royalty as well, guess having perfect teeth is a neccesity in her line of work" she said as she just realised something and looked up at Shou once more "I never let you say goodbye to Bast, I guess I was just thinking about having her get some company whilst we were gone, im sorry Shou" she said to him sincerly, she could of at least let him say goodbye to their 'daughter' even if it was just for two or three hours, would of still be nice for bast to have her 'father' say goodbye to her.

Shou laughed and rolled his eyes. Even if she hadn't liked being called that, he probably would have continued to do so just to tease her. Then again, it was nice to have her permission and to know that she liked to be called that. He knew after he had explained it, she would have liked it. When she kissed his cheek and whispered she loved him, he smiled. He always enjoyed hearing that. It was something he had discovered when they had first started their relationship. To hear it felt comforting and exciting all at once.
"I...love you..." He said softly in return as they exited the house. As much as he liked hearing it, he still wasn't accustomed to voicing it.
At her comment about Princess Garnet, he laughed and shrugged.
"Hm... that's not necessarily true. I've seen some pictures of royalty with horrible teeth." Shou crossed his arms and nodded his head. "Starr said that I was being rude when I said I'd have to put a bag over their head every time they wanted to smile... And it's alright. I'll make sure to kiss our daughter goodnight tonight then... maybe read her a story." He chuckled at at that thought.

Tempest couldnt help but feel loved and cuddled closer to him, she understand how he felt, alot of guys never were ones to voice their emotionswhich made it totally sweet more so that he had actually done it "hmm I guess I need to start reading the books you do I would have known that about the royalty as well if I had." Tempest said as she stopped and looked up at a tree 'noticing Adriana and waved at her as she walked by, Adriana busy stocking up on nuts and giggled "well, Bast DOES like to listen to me read poetry to her" she said as she opened up the basket and took out her soda, undid it and took a sip "besides, a daughter needs her daddy" she said taking another sip and then putting the top back on the bottle.

"I'm guessing you like poetry?" Shou asked, wanting to learn more about his mate. "I'm sure I could borrow a few texts from Starr-san since she's still in school. She has many poetry books though hers are mostly from British poets..." He smiled at the memory of his younger days when Starr would curl up with him on her couch and she would read poetry and old stories from her books. He watched her as she took a sip from her soda and he gave her a puppy dog look and gestured to the bottle she held. "Wanna share?"

"And have your back wash in my drink? No thanks" she teased her mate as she handed over her bottle "and I do but then I am an old fashioned girl, from Victorian era in general to theater to poets etc to moonlit walks along the beach, candle lit dinner two, snuggling up by the fire etc, male chilvery seems dead these days" she said with a sigh as she nodded. "I would love to read her poetry books, thank you but please, ask before taking them, I don't want to borrow something, even if she says yes, yet needs the book the next day or something since she wasn't entierly thinking at the time when she said I could borrow them or something" she said as she put one arm through her mates and cuddles against him.
