So today at rehearsal while we were in the middle of marching the show, these two streakers came running onto the field. I assume they were from our rival school's band, though I can't say for sure. None of us reacted though (apart from a few raised eyebrows and mouthed "What?"s) and we all just kept marching, so I suppose it wasn't that awkward.
The more awkward moment from today was probably trying to learn this weird dance for Signed, Sealed, Delivered...We're all so uncoordinated, haha.

So we had a playoffs ofootball game tonight, and we were all standin garound the equipment truck putting pit stuff and big instrumetns away, and everyone else was just sitting there, and this guy was cheering for our team because we won, and it sounded exactly like our BD! We all turned and prepared to follow him, because he said our school name the way our bd does when he calls us to him. We were jsut like "Oops. Er, that never happened" and then not more then 5 mins later our bdd calle dus exactly the same.

In my band class I have the nickname of "tinkerbell" because I am very shy and don't play loud so nobody hears me. xD I play bells most the time but we have this chime thingy in the back of the room where I sit. ( I has to sit on the floor xD) One day when a kid was playing the part of their song for a test grade I stood up and tripped over the stand with the chime hanging on it and it made a loud ringing noise...... everybody just turned and said "thats tinkerbell" then we all laughed but it was so embarrassing.. the kid was doing badly anyway so they got to try again and they got a better grade than they would have. My clumsy-ness is helpful....sometimes. xD
(everybody is talking about the directors and they seem scary, O__o my teacher is not he is super funny biggrin and never mean)

xX desu desu Xx In my band class I have the nickname of "tinkerbell" because I am very shy and don't play loud so nobody hears me. xD I play bells most the time but we have this chime thingy in the back of the room where I sit. My clumsy-ness is helpful....sometimes. xD (everybody is talking about the directors and they seem scary, O__o my teacher is not he is super funny biggrin and never mean) Everyone at my school is practically terrified of my BD. He is really loud, mean sometimes, but yet we love him loads. He can be really funny, and yet he gets things done. Yeah, he yells a lot during rehearsal, but he rarely does it out of pure meanness, just frustration and wanting to get it right. I forgot to say another semi-awkward thing hat happened last night at the football game! So, my sl was being rude(again) during our short rehearsal, yet again telling me I don't practice and don't have my music memoried(for a song that we had had only 2 days>.>) So I wastalking to my freshman friend about it, and apparently he went and talked to her. So we had a secret "talk" on the bleachers after halftme(groan) It was pretty awkward, especially because we sit directly behind the drums, who kpt playing cadences, and not to mention all the cheering going on around us. After I dinish "talking"(More of arguing. She didn't believe me when i said she was being mean. Does she not listen to what is coming out of her mouth?) to her, we are just sitting there staring at eachother for some reason(I thinks he thought we were still talking, cause she kept coming back after we played standtunes) and that was what was awkward. Just sitting there staring at eachothr for no reasonXD

My band class is way perverted. One example, and the most awkward one yet, was when we were playing a christmas song about a week ago. The trumpets had the melody but the first trumpet player wasn't blowing hard enough. So our BD was like, "Come Robbie you need to blow harder." Then our Baritone player said, "Yeah Robbie you should be able to blow harder, you like blowing," or something like that. We all started to crack up. If you can't figure it out, give it some thought.

Everyone not in band is sooooo scared of our BD. ond day when we were in rehersal, he told us that no one outside of band will ever enter the band room on their own. When I went to pick up my Sax after school with my friend who isn't in band, When I went in to the Band room, my friend stoped right outside the door. She wouldn't even come in when I told her it was okay. The whole time I was trying to convince he to come in, our BD was trying to stop laughing in his office!
Well, that wasn't that akward. What was really akward was when it was about 3 or 4 rehersals left untill the Christmas concert and our BD got pissed at us for not being able to play the cut time part right, He was showing us how to play it on his trumpet, and then a percussionist made some perverted comment, and then he snapped ant threw his trumpet at the wall! for like 10 minuites in complete silence. Then the bell rang and we all ran out of the room as fast as we could.
But that was last year, now all of us joke about it all of the time.

lol i was having my section leader interview my freshman year and i walk out of my bd's office finding everyone in the class pelvic thrusting!!!! i also walk into the weirdest and most perverted conversation, i never walk in the room to hear a normal conversation so yeah lol but i thought the pelvic thrusting was the funniest. oh and there was another one where my bd was being introduced to meatspin.com and he said "What is he spinning his p***s around or something?" yes my bd cusses but i never expected him to say that lmao

iTiCKLE_PANDaS Our show last year was Van Halen, and we were playing the ballad in class. One of the songs we played was Love Comes Walking In...my BD tried to sing along. It didn't work. BDs can NOT sing. It's hilarious when they try. whee Oh yeah, at the last football game, after the drum major did her salute and was running to the podium, she tripped and fell in the mud. And it was caught on camera. Oops. 2 out of my three (male) band directors used to be tenor opera singers. XD

It's more like a funny band moment than an awkward band moment.
So, my band director were helping the trumpets. They all just got new mutes form Marshall Music and other places. We were practicing Here Comes Santa Clause while he asks two trombone players to come up next to him to hear the difference it makes between the entire class (it was a part that had no trombone in it). I noticed that when they were standing, they were raising the bar. A kid that was a little shoter then my band director, mt band director, and then the tallest kid in band.
I shouted, "Raising the bar!" in the middle of the peice of music. Second greatest moment in band ever (see other post in this fourm to see what I'm talking about.)
