Flower's chest swelled with pride when he spoke of what he felt it meant to raise children. She wasn't exactly selling herself short, she just thought that perhaps she'd have found someone to spend her life with in a non-platonic sense, but given her hesitance around stallions she wasn't all that surprised.
When Memory mentioned personality types, this confused her a bit. She stopped herself from saying, 'I'm not exactly amiable.' She offered a soft smile. "Well, Scarlet is far more so than I am. So let your fears be assuaged, Memory."
The mare thought back to the question of family and wondered just how much she should say. "She has two biological children. Two sons, one of whom sided with his father when he left...it was a long story. But, Sweetpea stayed with us. Both of her parents died before they came to these lands but she has taken in quite a few as her own. Two stallions, Suichii and Rockstar. As well as two mares Istas and Emiko."

Memory laughed in a bit of disbelief. "Really, that many? She brings meaning to 'love knows no bounds' I suppose. I'm eager to meet her." Memory looked up the base of the mountain they'd just arrived at and chuckled nervously. "She lives up there? That's a bit of a climb for a small mare, isn't it?" he looked at Flower with another grin, something he seemed to do a lot. but did I do that before? He couldn't remember. He smiled and laughed a lot during his journey to these lands... but before that? What were his reasons to smile if he did? What were his reasons not to smile if he didn't? Every questions seemed to beget another.
"Well, let's start heading up, ladies first, please." He bowed a little and swept a hoof out before him.

"She most certainly does." Flower agreed with a nod and a pleasant smile. The mare chuckled looking up toward the well-worn path she had climbed numerous times. "It's a bit of a leg, I'll admit." She giggled lightly at his propriety and started her ascent. She wasn't even aware she had giggled. The little mare hadn't done such a thing since she was a filly. She moved aside on the path so there was more room for him.
"I assume you'll be all right with the elevation?" She asked.

His face lit up at the sound of her giggle. "Well, that certainly was adorable," he chuckled, shaking out his mane a little. "Honestly, I couldn't tell you if I would be or not. I can't remember past two months ago. Last thing I remember was waking up in a meadow with my head against a rock with dried blood I can only assume was mine on it. After that.... it's like I never even existed." He smiled brightly, falling into step with the mare beside him. "I'm sure I'll be able to handle it, and if not then I'll get used to it. I'm so close to where I want to me, I can't really stop now, can I?"

"What was adorable?" Flower asked, arching a brow. "And I'm sorry to hear about your head injury...are you doing alright now aside from the memory loss?" She asked, looking somewhat concerned. The mare nodded. "No, you most certainly can not. I'm sure you'll fit in wonderfully." She said.

Memory shrugged off the first question, opting instead to move on to the next question with a smirk. "I've been fine so far, and I don't foresee any trouble in the near future. I think I'll make it." His smirk turned into a grin and he glanced sideways at her. "Form what I've heard I won't have to try all that hard. Which is good news for me, since I wouldn't even know where to begin. My knowledge of interaction is very limited." Memory glanced behind him, trying to judge the distance they'd traveled. When he looked back to the top there was a small dark head, with ears perked straight up. "Scarlet. I presume?"

"Ah, well that's good to hear." Flower said. "Mhmm, that's her, alright." The mare grinned. "Oi! Scarlet! I've got someone for you to meet!" She said bridging the gap between Scarlet and herself. "Come on, Memory." She called with a laugh in her voice. She was just too happy for Memory to express it properly.
Somehow she knew he'd have a home here.

At Flower's voice Scarlet began bouncing. "Flower! My dearest friend, it's been too long since you came to visit meeeee! How are you love? Is that your boyfriend? Are you happy now? Is he good to you? Are you pregnant? You should be pregnant. Why is she not pregnant," she demanded of the stallion beyond her friend.
Memory was more than a little off guard by the sudden barrage of questions, then knocked on his a** by the last three. His mouth hung open and he looked to Flower for help.

Flower smiled sheepishly. "I just met him, Scarlet." She said seriously. "He's come to live with you. Now, take a few deep breaths and stop frightening people who don't understand that you're just spastic." She said, looking to Memory. She spoke as if talking to a child. "Now, let's start over. Scarlet, this is Memory...Memory, this hyper mare is Scarlet."

Memory had to fight to get his voice back. Never before had he been rendered to speechless by one being. Of course, never before extended back only two months. He quickly shook his head to get himself out of his stupor and grinned. Carefully he moved up beside Flower, bowing his head to Scarlet. "Hello madam. As Miss Flower has said, I am Memory. It's a pleasure to meet you."
Scarlet laughed heartily and said through that laughter, "my, don't I just feel sheepish!" She calmed herself and listened to the stallion. "Oh, my, no Madam. Just call me momma and we'll call it even. Come, come, now! We have to get you a bed made up! Flower, are you staying over, or do you have things to do?

Flower beamed. "You ought to, Scarlet." She said teasingly. "Aaaand, I think I'll stay for the night." The mare added. "To help Memory get settled in and to see everyone again." She looked to Memory. "I think you'll be quite happy here."
