"Kay, we play hide-n-theek," Howl agreed easily. Hide-n-seek wasn't actually allowed at home anymore, because his younger brother was afraid of the game. Devin had been 'kidnapped' by their older sister Ginger, and he'd never really gotten over it. Howl had no such grudge against the game.
"You hide, I count?" Without waiting for an answer, he covered his eyes with his hands. "One, two, four, um. Five, thix, theven...Lome! What come after theven?" He was still very much in the mode that might have made one wonder if he wasn't just a normal toddler after all.
Zee paused to think about Noel's question. "Maybe this weekend, on Saturday?"

"Uh.. Uh.. Nine?" Alome herself wasn't quite sure, but she flew up to hide behind the couch, hovering off the ground a bit. Alome was so happy to have someone her own age to play with.
Sure, she had her brothers, but they were all older than her.
"Saturday sounds lovely." Noel didn't move his eyes from his hands, fearing he would blush if he did. He didn't like having other men this close, only his lover..

"Theven, nine, ten!" Howl finished, trusting Alome's intelligence rather than his own. "Ready or not, here I come!" And so, he started to look. He looked under the table. He looked in the closet down the hall. Nope, she wasn't there. He looked behind the fax tree near the computer desk in the living room. Where was Alome?
Zee nodded, realizing Noel felt uncomfortable. Which in turn, made him feel uncomfortable. Ugh. "Sounds good."

Alome giggled happily, wiggling around behind the couch. This was fun! Though.. She did begin to grow a bit fidgety, crouching behind the couch, which was up against a wall. It was a very tight fit, and her wings couldn't stretch.
Noel stood up, pushing his hair over his shoulder nervously. "Oh.. Um.. Would you like some coffee, or some cheese cake?" He was trying his best to make the tension go away, but it was hard.. He couldn't find anything to say.

Howl looked behind the couch, he'd heard fidgeting sounds. That was actually the only reason he bothered to look there. "I found you!" He cried, a smile plastered on his face. "Your turn to count!"
Zee was feeling increasingly awkward. He wished Stasia was here silently, she would have made things better. "Cheese cake would be nice, thank you," he would have accepted the drink, if it had been anything other than coffee. Coffee effected him like a drug did most other people. Why was Noel acting so strangely?
