"In that case, I definitely need to find you a place to try a real one. You can't beat that. No way, no how." Natasha had kind of figured perhaps he just used a really, really high SPF of sunscreen. He'd had a lot of knowledge of Jet-ski's. And he was hanging outside of a sports store. What exactly was she supposed to pick up on that? The idea that he'd never gone out to do these things was beating her head pretty hard. She wasn't used to misjudging people, and generally speaking, even if she did, she never really let it be proven in such a blatant way.
"So, what are you doing here anyways, then?"

"A-ahaha, no need! No need!" He said, waving away her offer quickly. "I mean, that's nice of you but I'm perfectly fine with my digital stuff! I mean, ski's can be pretty expensive especially when you take into consideration how they're sometimes 30-plus dollars a half hour to rent them and all my money is currently going into vi-- er, my education so really, thank you but I'm good with keeping both feet on land!"
Miss, miss, fail! Did he have a way to escape? Could he run? Didn't look like it. "Just looking around, really." He replied, "No harm in looking, right? Some of the stuff they sell here is pretty spiffy."

Nat's brain was still reeling from the idea that he'd prefer to play the video version of Jet-skiing over going out for real. It really was having a difficult time sinking in. She scratched her head, then shrugged, trying hard not to let it bother her. Alex seemed cool enough, but his tastes sucked.
Obviously.
"I guess not. Yeah, some of the stuff is pretty awesome. Anyways, I should really buy this mask before the shop dude realizes that I'm not really interested in a pearl coloured mask." she chuckled, and began to move towards the counter.
Before she got too far, she paused and looked back at Alex, "Hey, maybe sometime you could show me these video games? Cuz, I really don't get the big draw. I mean, if that's cool or whatever."

Alex chuckled. "Sure thing, providing he comes back in time to ring you up. I'm going to be laughing if he does come back with one, though!" He grinned at the thought, as unlikely as it would be.
"Sure thing -- just be sure to bring quarters the next time we meet, 'kay? I'd better get going -- the campus has been cracking down on curfew time, and there's some stuff I need to look up for class. I'll catch you later, Natasha... saaay tomorrow sometime at the local arcade at 4pm, barring no restrictions?"
HOPEFULLY he wouldn't be assigned cleaning duty or go into a meeting with Mr. Swirly. Stupid toilet. Alex made a mental note to be extra alert as to not get trapped tomorrow.
With a wave, he turned and left the store, only realizing later after his dorm room aired out that he never got her number. FAIL.
