Nomine looked at the rock for a few moments and then touched it with her paw. She smiled and looked at Odyssey. He nodded his head and she decided to do what was calling her.
She touched her nose to the stone and it began to sparkle and shine. Nomine opened her mouth in silent fear, her blue eyes wide. She backed up against Odyssey. He nuzzled her and said, "It is okay Nomine.... Sshhhh.... It is okay..."
Nomine stopped reacting and laid at Odyssey's feet panting lightly.

A smile came onto Noah's face. "Little one, can you understand what I'm saying?" He asked. She seemed smart... just unable to talk.

Nomine looked up at the other Nova and nodded. She could understand him very well, she just couldn't voice her opinion. And that made her sad. Every time she tried to speak it would hurt in her throat and then she would pass out...
She looked at Noah curiously and wandered over to him, she licked his nose. Then she got one of those cute smiles on her face.

Noah continued to smile back. "Let me tell you something then." He said, using his tail to point to the rocks. "Those are special rocks." He explained to her. "Only special Nova can make them glow like you just did. Only Nova who can learn to listen to the world's silent voices."

She cocked her head to one side and looked at the rocks. She wished once again that she could speak. She looked at the rocks and could see a faint glimmer in each one.
Nomine nodded her head, her ears flapping back and forth.

Noah reached out his paw and patted her on the head a couple times. "You'll find your voice one day. Somehow." He told her reassuringly.

She made a purring sound low in her throat, then she realized what she had just done and stared down at her own chest... 'What is going on...?' She thought...

Noah blinked slowly, looking up at the two adult nova that knew her. "Has she ever done that before?" He asked.

Raziel looked at Nomine bewildered. "No, Noah... She has never done that before... At least not around me... Odyssey...?
Odyssey stared at Nomine and said, "No, Noah... She has never done that in my presence."
Nomine looked up at all the Adult Nova and purred lightly again.

Noah looked pleased as he looked down at her. "Good. See? All it takes is some time." He patted her one more time, before looking back at Raziel. "How far away are your dens?"

Raziel looked at Noah, "Around a few leagues for me, around 10 for Odyssey and Nomine." Raziel looked down at little Nomine please with her. He walked over and licked her.
