(( xd Good save!))
The Samurai briefly considered giving chase, but then motioned for a small group of nearby soldiers to pursue the criminal, "You there! Get that dog and bring him to my quarters! What are you waiting for? GO!" The five soldiers fearing this man's wrath took off speedily.
((Sorry Mithra, but I'm going to go, Selene can catch up whenever you return.))
Sasuke and Selene had been heading towards town during this period of events and were nearing the market place about the time that the man spat on the Samurai. Sasuke's sharp eyes caught the quick confrontation and the girl sprinted off at full speed. As the 'criminal' took off as well, she entered the market and poured on more speed in hopes of catching the man before the soldiers did.

((Yep.))
As Marak ran through an allyway, a pulse of pain shot up his arm. "AHH! No... don't! You said you wouldn't!" A thick, cloying voice spoke in his head.I lied. The blood soaked bandages on Maraks right hand burst open as a long blade exstended from the hilt forever stuck in his hand. Fresh blood weaped from his hand as the foul thing bit down even harder, drawing Maraks blood as power. Now.... turn around. Haltingly, as if Marak was fighting it (Which he was), Marak turned around just as the guards entered the ally. The demon chose to speek through Maraks strained lips. "So. These pitiful welps will be my first kill of the day? I am almost offended." Malut took a step foreward, shaking from the resistance Marak was puting up.

((Edited: ~GTN-TRPG~ Reason: For stupid use of words...))
Not one to loose anger very easily, Lord Nihoba viciously kicked the cowering old man who had been tossed aside like so much rice paper earlier. The poor man cried out in pain as the Samurai stalked off towards his quarters in the old mayor's hut.
The five soldiers drew their katanas almost as one and squared off as best they could with the man, it was a little tight in the alley and they could not all fight at the same time without risking hitting each other. This being the case, he only needed to worry about two at once. They were highly trained and battle hardened so they took no note of his stinging barbs.
Sasuke passed by the wounded old man on her way towards where she had seen the other man and soldiers enter an alley. Her feet were flying with an urgent speed yet the black-haired girl remained deathly quiet as she approached where she had lost sight of the six men.

Marak moved like a puppet, jerking around. His head swivled to one of the men, a sick smile on his face, the skin pulled tight over his face. "Sooo.... we going to dance? Or what? His right arm pulled back over his head, and hung there. Suddenly, the smile dropped and his head shook. "NOOO!!" He managed to regain control and look around. "I... don't... want... to! But you will!" Malut had regaied control. A small pool of blood had now formed at his feet.

The soldiers looked from the man to each other as he struggled with- well they couldn't quite figure it out. Whatever it was, it didn't look too pleasant. This being the case, they began to slowly back out of the alley in unison again, their weapons out in front to keep this mad man at bay.
Sasuke heard a scream as she approached the narrow alley and peeked around the corner cautiously, what she saw made more of an impact emotionally than anything she had seen to date. The man who had defied the Samurai was struggling with something quite painful, possibly poison? Whatever it was, it set something off in the girls mind and she could not force herself to enter the alley and assist the man with the soldiers, not that he needed it as they were slowly backing out of their own free will.

"Hahahahaha!" Malut had full control of Maraks body now, and he moved smothly instead of jerkily like before. Malut leaned low and held his ebony katana (which is actualy Maluts true body) high in the air, dripping blood onto his head. The blood ran down his face, leaving deep red lines. He leaped at the closest man and drove the katana into his chest, grinding it aganst the mans rib cage and spine.

((Auto-hitter-er... razz ))
The first man suddenly found himself staring at a few feet of steel lodged in his chest, this finally dawned on him as a bad thing and he let out a blood curdling scream while the others turned to run back out the alley.
Sasuke watched as the strange man put his weapon through one soldier and the others turn to run, 'If they get away, they'll probably give a description of this man. He seems good, I might-' but her thought never finished as she realized that the soldiers would indeed get away if she didn't stop them now. This being the case, the young woman leapt up drawing her own katana and prepared to clothesline the first one to exit the alley.

((I figured it would be okay for the first one. Being out numbered and such. I will refrain from auto hitting from now on.))
Jerking the blade out of the mans sternum, he looked around for the others. "Sooo... got cold feet? No bravery in the lot of you!" He walked back into the allyway. You did not have to kill the man! "But I did anyway. What are you going to do about it?" You know as well as I do that I can't do anything. Stop rubbing it in. Now, if you have had your fill, I would like my body back. "Hmm..... how about.... no." Whisling some nameless tune, Malut kept on walking.

((I was just joking anyways, it's no big deal since we're the only people playing right now.))
Sasuke swung at the first man to exit the alley and unfortunately aimed wrong. Her sword was too high thus glancing off his helmet causing it to fly off back down the way he had come, this mis-strike also jarred her blade out of her hands and sent it skittering across the ground to land a few meters away. Still recovering from the impact, she was slightly dazed and couldn't prevent the four soldiers from getting away. Finally regaining her senses, the girl almost pursued them but stopped herself as she was very hungry and didn't feel like fighting right now. Quickly she retrieved her sword and stashed it in her carpet roll before anyone had a chance to see her with it, hopefully.

Ichigo sat across the street from the entire hubbub. He stared at the fight, wondering if the two rebels were going to need help or not. The man was rattling off the samurai like logs, but the girl was having a bit more trouble with the lack of legroom. Ichigo shifted in his seat of dirt, feeling the knives under his robe. However, he left them there, deciding he would see this out. No one needs to cause trouble when trouble was already in play. He snickered inwardly at his little idiom.

It was Kioshi's day to go to the market. As always she put on her dark blue kimono, tied back as much of her waist length, thick black hair as she could and walked the long way to town. It hadn't rained in a while, so the roads were dry enough to leave a trail of dust behind her as she walked. As always, Kioshi Takeo carried a hand-woven basket in front of her.
As always, she followed her routine. Stop by the temple, light a candle and say a prayer for her family's ancestoral spirits, buy fruits, bread, and vegetables at the market, stop by the temple, say another prayer, and head home. It would be early afternoon before she was even finished in the market. Today it would be much later before she arrived home.
She was walking one of the village streets when shouts caught her attention. Kioshi drew the bag of food she'd just purchased closer to her body and she paused as a fray of people, soldiers, and strangers came into view. Kioshi stopped just before where Ichigo-sama sat across the street. She watched, unblinking, as men were killed, as a man shouted, a man- the same man- laughed, a woman missed someone with her swords. She watched the woman tuck the blade back into her rolled up carpet.
Kioshi had no weapons, but her attentive, almost-shaped eyes couldn't help but stare. This fighting was much different than the fighting she had been taught.

Ooc: In an attempt to revive this rp I hope I will be forgiven for borrowing one of the NPCs....
A guardsman that had been previously waiting for the fight to come to him at the edge of the bunch spotted Kioshi and seeing an excuse to dirty his blade charged at her. "Hey you! Wha'd are you staring at?" He yelled loudly, and raised his sword.
Ichigo's hands were suddenly filled with two half-size katanas, and metal rang on metal as their blades connected with that one of the guard's. "What are you drunk? She doesn't have a weapon," he said casually, as if Ichigo was only making light conversation over saki. Swinging both of his blads in an unifyed circular motion, he overpowered the guard's two handed grip on his own sword and the guard's weapon as moved away from Ichigo's body (who had been quite close to it when in between him and Kioshi). He raised his double swords up, arms outstreched from his body, and in another unifyed circiling motion had the guard down and out with a nasty gash on the side of his head.

Almond eyes went wide. She had heard from clips of stories she heard as she served saki to her father and his old friends that things were getting out of hand in the town and cities... but she never expected a guard to attack an unarmed person. It was this that left Kioshi too stunned to move. She had only a moment to ask herself how her father would fare without her before hearing the voice of another interceding.
Even as the whirling of blades began, Kioshi did not move. Her dark blue-robed kimono's hem swayed from the wake of the excitement, but otherwise all was still about her. She watched the gaurd fall, stared at the blood silently. She imagined this was what it was like for her father and brother who had gone to war once long ago. She had no idea how bloody it truly was.
Soft, almond eyes just like her mother's looked up at Ichigo and then looked down to the ground shyly. fr one so meek, she had stood her ground throughout the whole battle. She bowed, still holding the heavy basket of groceries in one straining arm. Before she rose, Kioshi said with a geisha's softness and politeness.
"My family owes you a great debt for saving my life. Whatever I can do to repay you I shall... Thank you."

((hey guys, if it's all right, I'll join in now xd ))
Hitonima walks down the dusty road, spying a small town in the distance. The last town he was at had little competition, the best archer was no better than he was as a child. He hopes the next town will fare better. As he is thinking, he goes into a flashback. He is a young boy, playing in a field sourrounded by a forest. as he is playing, a peasant from the town comes running out of the forest, but is quickly shot down by arrows. Hitonima escapes the archer, and returns to his town. the town is burning, and no one is left alive. Suddenly, a hand is laid on the boy's shoulder, startling him. He turns toward the person, and sees a middle aged man. The man rushes him out of the town, to a guild of sorts. At this guild, he is taught in many subjects, but excells in archery. It is from this guild that Hitonima recieved the yew longbow that adorns his back. ((ya, i know this sounds like fable sorta, but it sounds cool)) as he approaches the town, he looks for a shop to buy some more arrows. he is running low, as he used most of his arrows in the last competition, and they pretty much all broke from the force of impact. He looks around and sees no one.

Out of the corner of his eye, Hitonima spied some soldiers running out of an alley. Wonder what that's all about... he thought. Hitonima walked over to the alley, and saw a man with a hole in his chest and another with a katana dripping blood. "Woah!!" he said, starting. He quickly whipped out his bow and strung an arrow. "don't move," he said. "Or I'll shoot." Sweat dripped from Hitonima' face, which was strange because the day was quite pleasant.
