Roy glanced over at movement from Lance and Ed's side and saw that the wolf girl was waving at him. He pulled the meat away from his mouth (he must have looked silly. A nobleman, eating as if he had never eaten before. Considering that he was out in the wilderness for a good amount of the year, it was to be expected that he wouldn't find much to eat) before he waved back at Ed, a smile on his face. He then plopped the meat back into his mouth and wiped his face (he at least remembered etiquette) before he looked around.
Darko was chirping a little in his pocket, but at least the imp was staying quiet. He slipped more crackers into the imp's temporary home casually as he noticed a number of people approaching the food table. Sue and Rath amongst them, as well as what appeared to be the special guest. A nomad...perhaps from the plains in this land? The way he was dressed...Roy could only assume that this man was one of high class, perhaps Chieftan. The name eluded him at the moment, but he would certainly remember. He did give the trio of nomads a welcoming grin before he reached for the napkins to clean his hands.
It was unfortunate that he had looked away, because he had just heard a voice behind him.
"... You jerk."
"Hm?" Roy was about to turn to address the voice, before he was put in a headlock.
...But it was a fail headlock. The person was much too short to put him in a decent headlock. As he felt the figure attempt to give him a noogie, he could only laugh, realizing who this person was.
"I missed you too Uncle." he said, reaching behind him to return the greeting to the shotabard.

She couldn't determine what kind of meat this was, but it was pretty tasty either way. She had just swallowed when she heard the sound of armor brushing against fabric, and then that Leon fellow was standing in front of her. She hadn't spoken to him much, but he was in the Watch, as was Large (Rrrr he needs to die), so she at least recognized him.
"Oy... I know ya prob'ly didn't wanna wear that by choice but... ain't th' party wha' counts?"
Annis brushed her bangs off of her face and leveled a stare at Leon's face. "Like I'd choose to wear this of my own free will," she told him. She turned around, wings folding tightly to her back, and picked up a cup. She ladled out some punch in silence, taking a sip. Hm. Tasty. She sipped again.
The raven gulped down half of her cup before speaking to Leon again. "So, are you in costume, or did you just get some fancier armor for the party?" she questioned. Annis folded her arms, still keeping her cup carefully upright. We're mirrors, both of us←←←←←← Reflecting each other's karma←←←←←← Our dirty hands will touch←←←←←← And we'll know its shape...←←←←←←

Please don't be ashamed whether you win or lose... ... I just want you to know that I'm proud of you. ♦ ◄ALIHI► ♦ ————————————————
Amara grinned, plucking the hat straight off of Ephraim's head and sticking it on her own. The hat was many sizes too big and it slid forward, covering her eyes. She raised a hand to push it back and to hold the hat in place while the other hand reached up to poke Ephraim's cheek. "I'm not little! I'm four and a half!" The child said with a bit of pride in her voice, raising up four and a half fingers, bending her pointer finger to signify the half. "And I wasn't running away from mommy! I was... uhm..."
"Being the overly-energetic girl you normally are, sweetie." Alihi grinned, approaching Amara and Ephraim. "Great to see you again, Ephraim. You've been doing well?" She really liked Ephraim; he was kind, dependable, and all around a great person. He was a great friend of hers. Besides, anyone that Amara adored had to be decent. Amara may be extremely friendly, but she doesn't completely adore people too often. It was special, showing that one was very, very important to the young girl. And, well, "big brother Ephie" definitely fit that category.

I ain't givin' in, no matter how hard th' fight before me looks t' be!
>{Leon}< "Eh, this? Um..." Leon was again, not sure how to answer questions about things of his homeland. Even an acquaintance of the Watch knew that he was probably (suspiciously) vague about things about his past or his histories involving pre-Learania. All he knew was that is was probably quite too obvious he was hiding the fact he was once Archanean before taking up residence here.
"Ya could say it's fanci'r armor, maybe..." he told the Raven. "But 'twas also wha' a childhood hero 'o mine wore, so 'tis both armor an' costume. Call me paranoid, but I ain't bein' unprepar'd 'nymore."
He too ladeled the punch. It had a kick to it, just as the celebration did. And what gives, he didn't trip over his words and get slapped. It was turning out good after all.>{Watch Lieutenant}< If ya just bel'eve, then... ev'n if th' world be torn asunder, vict'ry will be yers to hold!

"Oh Oh? I'm sorry, Four and a half" Ephraim teased, tilting his head back a little trying to avoid Amara's poke but it failed. He had been poked. His hat had been kidnapped too, but he didn't mind it. Though it was his favorite hat, Ephraim was sure the four year old would take care of it..or at least return it when she was done wearing it. The attempt on trying to make a hand-gesture of four and a half was just too cute. Probablly because of the fact that she had her pointer bent in a silly way that looked like a hook.
His attention averted to the mother of Amara, Alihi. He hadn't seen her in a while and it was good to know that she and her daughter were doing well themselves. "Great to see you again too" Ephraim replied, "I've been doing great. How bout you? Hopefully Amara hasn't been too much of a trouble for a mother like yourself" Surely Alihi had a helping hand. Ephraim just didn't know who. Alihi was a wonderful person who obviously knows what she's doing inside and outside of a battlefield. A very reliable tactician and fighter. Nice combo if you think about it.

We're part of a story, part of a tale... ... Sometimes beautiful, sometimes insane... ♫ ◄NILS► ♫ ◘══════════◘
The headlock did indeed fail. His arm was too loose around Roy's neck and when Nils reached up to noogie, his Nephew's head was infuriatingly just out of reach.
Nils cursed his height again as he was headlocked and noogied. He squirmed a bit, trying to get free. "I'm glad you did, Nephew, but can you please let me go now?" He nearly whined, looking up at Roy. It was bad enough that he was too short to headlock his own Nephew, but to get headlocked at a formal party by the same Nephew was just too embarrassing. It hurt his esteem quite a bit.

The doors to the kitchen flew open with a BAM! They swung closed as the nature of the doors are.
Heath flew out of the kitchen in a half-run, half-walk, half-stumble kind of deal, breaking the proportion physics because he went over an extra 50%. His hat fell off, but he picked it up and placed it back upon the origin while he stood up. He appeared to be in the ballroom, to his glances.
"Well... taming the beast was no simple task, as it should be... Just a woman... A very horrifying one at that..." a few more glances caught more of a view. "Food! Oh man, oh God, oh man, oh God, oh man, oh god!"
In mere seconds the food bar was being attacked by that guy. He needs to calm down, sometimes. Take it easy. Around food.
First the crescent rolls, then a steak, and a whole bushel of grapes. The plate became full. So did his mouth. He stood there and barbarically ate what he grabbed. Pretty fast, it should be noted.

Joshua was bored... at least he wasn't in the palace though. He knew he had promised his mother but still palace life was boring and to be honest he was alittle glad he had ended up in this place despite not knowing anyone yet. "I wonder if anyone else from Magvel is here..." He reached for a blueberry and popped it in his mouth. Why was he even here? It was a party and he didn't know anyone. He fingered the sword in his sash a bit. He had seen other people armed and figured it would be okay.
"Look! Derrin wrestling!" Jaren shouted suddenly spying a small blue haired boy in a headlock from an older red headed one.
"I dont think its..." Derrin started to say but his friend had already taken off towards the two. "Haaa... I'll just pretend I don't know him.." Derrin muttered watching his friend.
"Rawwr!" Jaren yelled out reaching the two boys. Leaping into the air he flew towards the red heads knees intending to tackle him.

If this was his Uncle's best attempt at giving him a noogie, it was certainly a failed attempt. The arm was loose around his neck, and the bard couldn't even reach his head to noogie.
The score for today: 1 point for the Nephew. 0 points for the Uncle.
Horray for having his father's genes to make him taller than the shotabard could reach.
"Of course of course. Sorry if we can't have a family moment in public." the young lord laughed, letting go of his Uncle.
The young lord now rested his arms on top of the bard's head and rested his own head on his arms, once more taking advantage of his height and to tease Nils. "So how has my dear sweet Uncle been since the incident with the Heroes?" he asked.
Uncle made a perfect portable headrest.
((Edit due to post from others.))
He then heard the sound of running and glanced to the side. Someone was running at them. Someone he didn't know. Even so, some interaction would definitely be nice, especially if he didn't recognize them. It could help spread his connections.
The young lord turned his body and raised his leg, prepared to catch the boy with a foot in the face.

I shall now demonstrate the Law of Sacae… Tribesmen fighting with all they have for the sake of one another! ~)Sue(~ The only thing that Sue saw was someone actually KNEEING General Roy, her comrade-in-arms and the leader who led her to victory against Bern and allowed her to return to the plains. Her instincts were simple. She rushed forward to the Lycian's aid, but found that he'd already taken care of the one whom was... flying at him. As a matter of fact, after seeing Roy's kick connect, the nomad trooper winced slightly. She knew from experience in hand-to-hand training that those kinds of blows hurt sometimes worse than weapons. "General Roy.. Nils... what happened...?" she asked them. She hadn't saw the confrontation in full, so Sue had no way of knowing if Roy's battle-lustful instinct had got the best of him, and he was picking a fight. Of course, she knew one thing, that he'd better be honest with her. Nomads expected their allies to follow the code of honor without lying. There needed to be a healer here too, to clear up this... hopefully misunderstanding. ~)Nomad Trooper(~ Tell me, is your reasoning bent? If so, allow me to straighten it with my >--arrows-- > and o=|lllswordll>

"That's right! Four and a half!" Amara repeated, pointing her finger straight at Ephraim's nose. She turned around when she noticed that his attention was elsewhere.
Alihi's smile softened a bit. "Oh, I've been doing good... It's hard raising a child, especially if you're a single mother like myself." She laughed softly, patting Amara on the head. "Abel's been helping me with getting money and stuff so I can focus more on actually raising Amara. It's... really sweet, actually..." She spaced off for a few seconds, letting her thoughts take over for a few moments before shaking her head back and forth a few times. "... Say, were you waiting for anyone in particular?" The tactician vaguely remembered seeing him with someone on one of her days working at the Hostess Club, but she couldn't remember.

Melethia heard a thud. She turned around and saw a guy on the ground, Roy, Nils, and Sue. She walked her way to the 4 of them, taking a bite of the apple she had in her hands. When she got there she swallowed what she had in her mouth before speaking.
"What happened here?" She asked, "I heard a thud. I turned around and see a guy on the ground."

"Prrgh!" Jaren moaned as the foot connected with his face. Comically freezing in midair for a moment before gravity kicked in he landed on his face. "I'm dot through det!" Snakeing out his hand he grabbed the boy's ankle he yanked hard hoping the man was still off balence from the kick he should fall on his back. Shooting to his own feet he glanced around for the blue haired boy. Spotting him with one hand he held his bloddied nose and with the other reached for the young mans collor. "Bwahahahaha!" He laughed. Insanely.
Derrin winced as the boot hit Jaren in the face. "Hopefully that killed him." But no Jaren attacked again and got back up. "Uh-oh" He muttered as he saw a girl walk up to the tussle. and call the two by name. "Hes a general..... Oh man Jarens screwed...." A rare smile lit across the mage's face.

Ephraim scrunched his nose at Amara and let out a small 'rawr' with a ridiculous look on his face before he turned his attention back to the tactician. "As long as you have a helping hand. Puts less stress on you all together" that was good, Abel..wasn't that the fellow they had fought during easter..? Ephraim had only seen him once and maybe a glimpse of him during the anniversery. But that was it, he hadn't once talked to him before. It was too early for the prince to judge, when he saw the man he was possessed..or..something along that line..but he wasn't himself.
Alihi seemed really fond of Abel by the way she was talking about him just now. The moment she asked if he was waiting for someone, Ephraim didn't quite know how to answer "Well...I'm not sure if she'll show anyhow..Sophia really isn't one for social gatherings" though that said, it could always be proven false since that girl was always full of surprises nowadays.

We're part of a story, part of a tale... ... Sometimes beautiful, sometimes insane... ♫ ◄NILS► ♫ ◘══════════◘
Nils blinked, standing up straight and rubbing the back of his neck. "... It's not that, Nephew... It's just--"
He cut himself short as he felt pressure against the top of his head. He twitched with irritation even though he knew that the red-headed lord was doing this just to tease him. I get the point that I'm short! Don't rub it in!! The bard mentally wailed, scowling slightly. "I've been fine but I was worried about what kind of trouble my idiotic Nephew was--"
He stopped again as he heard... a yell? Nils turned his head, wincing as he saw the kick connect. That had to hurt. "A-are you alright?" He asked with concern, turning and offering his hand to Jaren. "Don't do things like that! Trying to slam into someone from behind is not normal and not good party behavior!" Sure, what Nils was saying may have seemed a bit odd, but he was trying to scold Jaren and explain the situation to Melethia and Sue at the same time!
One of the bard's eyes twitched with irritation as he saw Jaren try to drag Roy to the ground. What, was this guy insane?! The urge to whack Jaren in the skull with his flute was overwhelming, but that would not be a wise decision, especially since he was one of the crew-members. He had to set an example, even though he was-- ... wait, what?
"... What are you doing?" Nils backed away from Jaren slowly, hand resting against his golden flute. If it was self defense, it'd be okay... right?
