Jutsu: Exploding Tag DC:15 Xen:1/3 Kimiko:1/3 Xenon: 16 Kimik0:13
A perfect execution this time for Xen, he took it with mere nod, calculating the process, intent on mastering the tag jutsu. The reason was not merely because Dash had challenged it of him. He himself had been planning to use this jutsu, and had set aside time to learn it next week, still, this was much better, two birds with one stone as it were. The tactical and practical applications for exploding tags were numerous, and all in all it was a very adaptable weapon, requiring little chakra to use and even easy to make with some talent for crafting. Xen didn't have a great amount of talent in the field as of yet, but he was always good at picking up new material.
"What else?"
Xen elaborated. "Well, he liked to play the Harmonica."
Kimiko gave HIM an exaperated look now. "I meant something a bit more..."
"Relevant?"
"If you wouldn't mind." she complained tossed another partial detonation. Kimiko was actually quite used to this sort of banter with Maboroshi. They'd been stuck next to one another at the academy, and while she'd been a bit more eccentric about being his nemesis then, she WOULD eventually calm down and they'd have to work together. Maboroshi was something of a trick to talk to, but once you figured out his rather...odd...sense of humor, you were able to carry on a conversation with him moderately well.
Not that even she'd ENTIRELY figured it out yet.

"You didn't put any chakra at all in that...." Dash said, an explosion ending the sentence. Surely enough this kid did suck with chakra. The man stepped back letting Raine prepare his own Kunai this time, "Look I was joking when I said make sure you don't let it go off in your hand. Just put the chakra in than throw it, than detonate it."
Raine nodded now, grabbing and tying another tag and Kunai, the constant explosions that he heard from the other only served to mock him as he went. His frustration growing. Just because he was a Tekkenseisai?! Was that why he was so inept at this? Shaking his head before he tried to concentrate.
Dash leaned back watching the boy, for all he cracked himself up to be he had some self-esteem issues. If he trained hard enough with his chakra, which was exactly what Dash intended to make him do than he would be a strong ninja in both ninjutsu and taijutsu. Maybe gen and it's intelligible approach would come later in life.
Again, Raine flung the Kunai feeling the zip from his fingers, as it flew a small snap and a tiny bit of smoke broke the air, the Kunai swerved from it's original direction and stuck in the ground. The small boy smiled with the reaction, it wasn't much but it was better than nothing at all.

(Wait why do you get +2 crying the things that you find in the system...... it's just that last I recall the only time that people could help each other is during training, and this is a jutsu so I"m confuzzled. )

"Yeah sort of like that." Dash felt the swords press against his back, maybe he could use this time to train. After all at the rate they were going it wouldn't be anytime soon they finished their jutsu. For these three were cracked up to be they weren't much.
Raine quickly tied another seal on, making sure the string was tight. Exited by the small reaction of his previous throw he bubbled with every movement. Taking a stance, not necessarily devoted to an attack or power but one that seemed to steady him. Raine holding the Kunain in his fingers, the seal touching hi palm. Squinted he aimed for his the first tag he had sent that had yet to explode. He took in a deep breath and worked the energy up through his arms, warmth running through his veins with the power. He felt his hand fill with energy as if he were holding warm hovering water in his fist. Pressing the energy in with his skin, Raine cocked back his arm and flung the weapon. It shot forward to the other one, and Raine focused hard, waiting to breathe. He snapped the energy he had built away and a huge explosion sent warm air rushing back to him, flinging up his hair a smile following it.
"There see, not so hard."

Raine flung his fist in the air. The bands on his wrist falling back. Surprisingly it felt the same as that very first day in the academy when he had first used chakra. Raine smiled at what a whimp he was then. How he had cowered behind a tree praying not to die, and now- now he had stood up to defend his village and help bring down the bad guy.
He grabbed another Kunai tying it and throwing it. An explosion didn't quite make it out, but the seal burst into flames, with smoke billowing out into the air.
Pi reached out from the pocket his head turning to the side, fire reflected in his eyes. "Eh, Raine that's real cool! You ninja can make thing explode!" Raine smiled to his friend.
"Yeah, isn't it cool?" the small boy grabbed another Kunai from the pile tying a sealed tag to the bag.
"What cha gonna explode?" Pi looked up to Raine, who stopped and sighed.
"We already had this conversation Pi." he returned to his work, the weight of Dash's gaze pushing down on him.
"Well, little friend what brings you to the pocket of my poky pupil?" Dash crossed his legs, leaning up against a tree and looking to the little worm like creature in his pocket.

Pi turned over pushing his little legs to get into a position to see Dash. This was when the man first noticed the small appendages.
"I came with Raine from the desert, in Suna. He found me. And he's my friend." Pi hung his arms over the pockets edge. Raine tied another tag.
"Yeah, I met him last night when he was training."
Dash nodded. "Oh, tell me is he any good?" The man smiled, noticing how uncomfortable Raine was becoming.
"He really is good! You never seen someone move like him. Wow." The small boy smiled with pride. Dash raised his eyebrows. "But he says he needs to get better cause-" The thought of Dash finding out his secret justu, Raine would never be allowed to learn it. HIs chakra surged and the boy flung his Kunai. Exploding before PI could finish what he could say. He looked to Dash as if for approval, who simply stood there with a blank face before sighing.

The silence that followed was awkward. Raine figured Dash had probably put something together with what PI had said, who was now starring up between both of them. Dash was silent, watching Raine and waiting for him to try again with the exploding tag. He broke the silence though. "Yeah, that's it." Raine smiled trying to get back to training. Though he felt the weight of dashes stare hard on him and Raine couldn't focus. Quickly he threw the Kunai, it landed in the same flew out and disappeaed, hitting a far away tree. Raine gulped. Tuning quickly to dash.
"Hey man, I can't focus with you staring at me like that!"
The man before him was calm and serene, his expression was cold. "Look kid, I'm your sensei now. You've got to tell me everything that you're up to. How I'm I supposed to help you, if you're off doing s**t by yourself?"
Raine recoiled at this, wondering whether of not to give his secret jutsu up. The boy just scoffed, "Look, I'm not doing anything. Pi said I needed to get stronger because I told him that I was going to the greatest ninja in oto." HE said deflating his pride but protecting his secrets.
Dash rolled his eyes. Seeing through such a pathetic lie. Raine would learn in time, they weren't that close yet.

Still inflated from their small argument. Raine grabbed a kunai, Quickly tying the tag on. He wasn't really paying attention. But his emotions fueled his chakra up and Raine flung the tag forward feeling electricity fly from his fingers. The tag popped in front of him and Raine threw up his hands to shield himself from the light and heat.
At this Dash jumped forward, but the damage was done and Raine was fine, standing up his face tinged with soot. He smiled brightly with the thrill but Dash flung up his hands, "Would you watch what the ******** you're doing!" The small boy scrunched his face. He hated being yelled at, Dash wouldn't have besides the fact that he was still put up about Raine keeping secrets form him.

Seeing the boys resentment Dash knew he had to fix it quickly to avoid conflict for the rest of the day. He sighed going back to his tree. "Just be more careful okay." he realized though that these words really didn't apply to the Tekkenseisai from what he knew of them. After all they were the RECKLESS fist fghters.
Raine shook his head, oh please! be careful?! In the silence he thought he heard his name and flicked his gaze up toward the others. Craning his neck to try and hear, Dash interrupted him again however.
"You know you aren't so bad at this chakra stuff." He said the complimet from the side as if it were hard to get out. But none the less Raine's eyes grew to the size of beach balls and he let out a smile. Picking up another Kunai, intent on making it blow up perfectly. He needed to regain his honor. Using his good vibe to fuel his chakra, Raine quickly pushed the energy up through his arm and held it in his hand. Pulsing it through the seal until he could feel it there, like a whole other part of his body. He pushed his foot back and launched the Kunai away quickly.
It hit a tree far off from him and sat there. Dash's head sunk Failed again had he? The small boy smiled and pursed his lips, his eyes squinting as he focuses. *BANG!* the tag exploded and sent huge splinters of the tree going. Dash looked up with a smile.

Pi smiled below, "Yeah, I knew you could do it Raine. You're the coolest." The small boy smiled. That was three, that as all he needed to succeed. And he only had two Kunai left anyway. If he could get more than three he would be a god! Still hearing explosions from the others Raine didn't feel half as bad as he usually would. Quickly he tied another exloding tag and let it fly. THe thing went for a few seconds before bursting into flames. Raine sighed sadly.
Pi poked his hip, "It's okay."

Raine looked down to PI, he was a very optimistic little friend, even if he did reveal part of his secret plan to Dash. He was too cute not to love, and the small animal clawed at his pants happily smiling up. Raine laughed. "Thanks pi." He pulled the last tag he had and tied it carefully to is kunai. Dash had turned his attention towards the others who seemed to be getting along well.
Taking aim, Raine gasped a deep breath and pulled back his hand, winding up for the throw, he built his chakra up and felt it get to his hand. Seeping into the tag, quickly he threw it, letting the tag flap through the air. Unexpectedly it exploded, not quite a large explosion like it should have been but it was definitely more than a burst of flames. Raine shook his head. Whether he succeeded or not, he loved seeing stuff being blown up.

( I think it works for Training and Jutsu, but with jutsu you can't lower a DC below ten. Dash would give a +4 wouldn't he?)
Training together! Genin +2 each Jutsu: Exploding Tag DC:15 Xen:2/3 Kimiko:1/3 Xenon: 18+2=20 Kimiko:10+2=12
Another perfect execution. Xenon seemed to have the hang of it already... Kimiko frowned slightly but decided to just bite the bullet and keep trying. They were both doing rather well actually. Maboroshi continued his more serious explanation.
"He had it seems, his level of service already impressive, been sent on an S-class mission a few years ago." Kimiko's eyebrows raised at "S-class" "Apparently, Raine went with him."
Kimiko looked over to where Raine and Dash were working. "What?! Raine went on an S-ranked mission?! But...he would have been just an academy student like we were right?! That's crazy!" she threw her own and it fizzled slightly, spinning rapidly in the air before hitting the sand and being distinguished. "What sort of mission was it? Do you know?"
Xenon shrugged "While something I'm proud of, my research skills are not so great as to get a hold of that information. It's rather omitted as far as their exact mission. But I can guess."
Kimiko looked back at him. "Guess?" Maboroshi nodded.

Xen gave a confirming nod. "Yes. Guess." he now seemed more pondersome than focused on his tag throwing. "Do you remember what Raine said?"
Kimiko blinked "Which part?"
"He told us," Xenon noted with a flourish of the tag between in his fingers. "That he had met with almost all the Kage's. What do you gather from that?"
Kimiko threw her tag, watching it explode perfectly with a grin before becoming neutral again and considering his words. "Well... you're thinking it had something to do with the mission?"
"I'm thinking it must have." Xenon confirmed. "Whatever Mission it was, it took Raine and Hatchi through the elemental nations, along the way the seemed to have stopped in the other hidden villages. Whether meeting the Kage's was a goal or a side effect, they can't be unrelated."
The girl nodded fixing her posture slightly as she worked a little more on the chakra control. "So then..." she recalled what Raine had said about the Takikage. "Raine...he said that woman, that she killed his sensei."
Xenon adjusted his glasses on the end of his nose. "You mean the Takikage? Yes. I recall." he continued to twirl the tag in his hand. "Taki has always had strained relations with Oto. For good reason, I would not be surprised if a misunderstanding similar to the recent incident took place. People are always ready to think the worst of the people they perceive as their enemies."
Kimiko frowned ever so slightly. "I guess that's true...but I still don't think that woman can be trusted. Even if it was a misunderstanding, you can't just attack a village of innocent people like that...it's wrong." she shook her head. "Kasuke would never do something like that... I don't think any kage should."
"We are each of us our histories," Xen would have sounded sagely, had he not sounded more bored. "A kage is no different. Their reign shapes them. Kasuke's reign has just begun, the Takikage was reigning during the time of the masters if I'm not mistaken... she probably had to get a strike first mentality to survive...Kasuke is more peaceful minded. He values Diplomacy over war... Two different sides, yes, but you mustn't forget that both are still trying to protect their villages...do you really have the right to judge?"
Kimiko blinked slightly, her look far away for a moment. "Yes."
Xen looked at her sideways, and smirked "Well said Momoe-san."

Kimiko seemed flustered "W-well... what I mean is, that i think if you let yourself believe that war is an acceptable answer before you even give peace a chance, then you shouldn't be leading people. I know that peace doesn't always work, that's why we Shinobi exist in the first place...but still..."
Xen seemed amused about something "Ah? Was that it? Perhaps I'm still over your head philosophically then." she looked at him inquisitively. "I was referring to the fact that, because right and wrong are such subjective concepts, all men and women have the right to judge, that being an inherent endowment of perception... but..."
Kimiko's eyes were now spirals.
"Right, over your head."
Kimiko seemed to regain her senses. "Uh...n-no! I totally understood everything you said!" There was a silence. "...Shut up Maboroshi."
"I didn't say anything." she gave him a look. "Well back to the conversation." he looked toward the partially exploded tag. "Yes it's as you suspected. Hatchi was slain on that mission, or so it's assumed. Raine seems to be the sole survivor of the mission."
Kimiko looked once more over at Raine. "That's terrible..."
Xenon follwed her gaze "You prefer he didn't survive."
She gave him another scrutinizing look "You know that's not what I meant Maboroshi..."
Her rival shrugged "Well regardless, I believe you asked me what Jutsu I took from the Sennin's home yes?"
She turned back toward the sand pit. "Yeah, that's right, I'll tell you what I got if you tell me what you got."
Xen held another tag up to the light. "Fair enough I suppose.
